Looking forward to the wallet release in 2018.
Also be nice to get on at least one bigger exchange for more trading volume.

Something is known about the launch (release) of ICO coins?
For a company with so many people wondering what's happening they really need to tweet a bit more, if only to show some signs of life. Last tweet was on the 24th.
66  Economy / Scam Accusations / LITECOIN ECLIPSE is a scam on: November 27, 2017, 12:59:40 PM
Thread in question: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2470644.0

Has exactly the same info (text is all the same) and images as a previous scamcoin ETHEREUM LITE: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2255071.0
Ethereum Lite got 'hacked' a few weeks ago / aka the dev dumped and exit scammed.

I realise it's just a small ERC20 scam but I'm getting tired of them, especially when they're so damn lazy so as touse old material. There's not even honour / creativity among thieves anymore.
67  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Altcoins and the road to recovery on: November 26, 2017, 04:55:56 PM
I guess up till now I've been considering it a bad trade if the BTC value of the altcoin has fallen. It seems incorrect to evaluate the value of an altcoin by it's USD value when it's BTC value is down.

Unless I'm thinking about this wrong - that money would've done better in btc. Right now my ROI = Bitcoin gain - altcoin loss, whereas with just bitcoin investment I'm not having to subtract the loss in altcoin value.
68  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Altcoins and the road to recovery on: November 26, 2017, 04:42:14 PM
Waves pased through the same situation too, it was 0.001 btc when the price of each waves was $3, now it is less than 0.0004 each waves, but the price is almost $5.

Yeah - but in your example you'd surely have made more money just sticking with bitcoin? So long as the BTC value of an altcoin is decreasing it becomes a bad trade - the money would've done better in BTC.
69  Economy / Trading Discussion / Altcoins and the road to recovery on: November 26, 2017, 03:17:08 PM
I've got a few altcoins where I was just unable to properly manage the trade and by the time I returned they'd suffered considerable losses. The ALTCOIN/BTC value for a lot of alts has obviously suffered the last few months and my question is: Should we expect those previous levels to be achieved and surpassed any time soon or is it better to exit the trade and start again elsewhere? My goal for most of the altcoins is medium to long term holds - I usually prefer trading in & out of the same alt to increase my holdings.

The reason I'm open to exiting the trade is that even thought the ALTCOIN/BTC value is very much down, the increase in BTC value means that a few of these trades are still slightly positive in USD terms. The gain in btc less the loss of my altcoins still results (in a few cases) in a net positive gain  - so there I'm happy to  exit the trade. I hesitate though - because these altcoins still seem to have potential.

The example trade below is from SNT (Status Network Token) which by all means should be doing pretty well. It's far from a shitcoin.:
<image loading...>

And looking back over SNT's history we're right at the bottom.
<image loading...>

This pattern is so familiar with (decent) altcoins right now that I'm just a bit unsure of what the best strategy is:

1.) Stay in the trade and hope that 33% btc value loss is recovered or
2.) Exit the trade without much loss in most cases and trade elsewhere (I guess I also need to get over my attachment to certain altcoins).

Or any other advice & suggestions would obviously be welcome.

Thanks for the beers Gents.  Grin

It is Sunday and the first competition for 1 million EOSG bounty is closing in a few hours and then we will announce the first winner here and on twitter!

- EOS Gold Team
Cool.
Thanks for the update - glad you didn't disappear on us  Smiley.

What's next after the competition? Is it going to be a lot of good old waiting until EOS chain becomes available or will there be other activity - marketing, developing, etc.?

Do you plan to move away from ERC20 at any point?
Will access to the platform be allowed via an other means or solely via your token?

I have 300 ETUP in my wallet , will I receive second airdrop eventhough I didn't fill the form ?,
Yes.
2nd airdrop is for anyone with more than 200 ETUP in their wallets.

All the airdrops from now onwards anyone can participate in so long as they have the right amount of ETUP in their wallets  Smiley. Just buy enough ETUP on etherdelta, hold in your wallet and you'll get airdrops.

No telegram.
This thread needs more activity from EOS Gold team though.
76  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: 🌟AIRDROP🌟 🌟10M Token🌟 🌟99% to be airdropped!🌟 on: November 24, 2017, 05:34:58 PM
^^^
Turns out I had 10MTI tokens, not 10M.
So I could swap them, which I did.

I had the 10MTI tokens in my MEW wallet, and I imported that wallet into Metamask (Chrome extension).
I then did the swap to TPL here: https://www.10mti.com/

I think there's an airdrop to the top TPL token holders in dec. I'm not sure the 10MTI tokens will serve any purpose going forward, but then again - I'm not entirely sure what the TPL tokens purpose is and how they fit into the plans for the 10mt exchange.

very strange... same amount selling every time (39876 tokens). What is this?  Huh
It's maybe people selling their 40 000 bounty less the exchange/gas cost. Doesn't etherdelta take fees from the token if no eth is available?

There have been a few people expressing their concerns in this thread. I don't know what's going on.

When you selling tokens on ED, their have fees in tokens. When you buying - they have fees in ETH. So this only fees from ED. When week hands sell their tokens. we going to 0.5-1$  Roll Eyes

What are you talking about? Who has fees in his tokens? Of course EtherDelta charges a small fee, less than any other exchange. Or what do you mean?

I think they were just pointing out that those token sales on Etherdelta weren't the EOSGOLD team dumping tokens, but rather airdrop recipients selling their 40 000 EOSG on etherdelta and that the number we were seeing (39 875 or something like that) was the 40 000 less the etherdelta fee.

Will you buy our team each a beer?
Yeah ok - beers for everyone.
But only if we're forkin' EOS in 2018.
79  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Airdrop][Giveaway] | EOS GOLD - EOSG | Wide Community Adopting EOS on: November 23, 2017, 05:05:55 PM
Nice to see the whitepaper update Smiley.

as it was written on the notice board that airdrop round 2 will be announced after the round 1 airdrop distribution. now the distribution is complete then when will information about airdrop round 2 be given?  Roll Eyes

A lot of people managed to game the first Airdrop so we are working out a new method for verification for round 2 and to make sure we have as little people as possible game Airdrop #2.  Please stay patient in this regard.

The EOSGOLD Whitepaper has been released! : https://eosgold.io/whitepaper/

I'd still consider some type of airdrop to current holders to encourage holding. One of the problems of airdropping so early before the project starts developing is that a few people acquire the majority of tokens, whereas your mission statement includes having a 'wide distribution'. You need to find a way to incentivize holding, else the distribution becomes lopsided and the minority control the majority.

Quote
...will only be 12 EOS block producers

I'm assuming that limitation applies regardless of how many forked EOS chains there are? Is there a limit on how many EOS forks can occur, and how are the producers distributed among them? If there are 20 EOS forks, how do 12 block producers manage 20 chains or am I misunderstanding something here?

You mentioned advisors previously - I see no mention of them in the whitepaper?

Hi all,

I have took part in some ERC-20 tokens, received them in myetherwallet, but I do not know how to transfer them to Etherdelta exchange. I checked in etherscan.io and saw that I received my tokens, but I didnt saw them in myetherwallet. What's the problem ? Thanks.
etherscan.io / ethplorer.io will give you the following info for each token:

CONTRACT
SYMBOL
DECIMALS

In the case of EOS GOLD that's:

0x7b39940DbaC110f1227D37c395675dEf270AfCd7
EOSG
0

In myetherwallet you need to ADD CUSTOM TOKEN then use the above information in the fields provided. That information is usually also posted in the first post of ANN threads.
