21  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 1080Ti Specific - Best mining option on: November 24, 2017, 10:13:41 PM
I am mining with 1080ti rigs on nicehash. My earnings are like 1 electricity  1.5 me  of total 2.5 income. Electricty costs much more with nicehash . I need and advice here. Can I play with my ti s power? Optimizing the Power Usage and lower the power? will it work with nicehash? And is there a video that can Show me how to do it?
dude, if you will forget about nicehash and mine ZEC on flypool directly and will be wise when selling what you have mined
I'm sure you can easily make twice per month what have you mined on nicehash!
nicehash is pure evil.

That's only true if ZEC performs better than BTC. Looking at current Crypto market, that looks  indeed not easy. Real interest in just in BTC. If things continue as of know, simply going only with NH will beat most of sophisticated strategies in the long run. It remembers me the index funds: zero thought, great performers, not the 1% top, but yes the 5-10% top.

any recommendatinos on a specific 1080ti model?
currently have 6x msi aero, quite happy with them.
Considering building a second rig and looking at models, msi armor any good? Zotac AMP maybe.
I want more efficent cooling than stock blower fan.

I own one Aorus extreme waterforce  and one Asus Strix OC. The best thermals  obviously are for the liquid cooled Aorus, but the Strix performs on average about   5% faster than the Aourus.

Asus Strix has the better stock air cooling of the market. Take a look at the quality reviews of gamersnexus.

23  Economy / Exchanges / Re: How to withdraw a small amout of BTC from Yobit? on: October 28, 2017, 12:53:40 PM
Did you say Yobit? To withdraw from that exchange, you first need to pray it works. If prayer doesn't help, you need to plead and beg them to process the withdrawal. And hope someone reads your many open tickets and shows some mercy. This is how it works with Yobit.

If you were hoping the withdrawal will be a straightforward and quick procedure, I have to sadly burst that bubble of hope.

They are ranked high up (if not first) on the list of rogue exchanges.

ufff, I guess this will be a leason for me.

At the end, I guess, it only makes sense to mine coins with auto-exchange pools or coins traded in decent exchanges.
If I had known that I'd never mined SIGT.

24  Economy / Exchanges / Re: How to withdraw a small amout of BTC from Yobit? on: October 28, 2017, 07:44:48 AM
Thanks for the help. So converting to another coin and transfer it looks the solution.

25  Economy / Exchanges / How to withdraw a small amout of BTC from Yobit? on: October 27, 2017, 02:32:01 PM
I ask because I converted there a small amount of SIGT to BTC in yobit, and I need now to pay a fee higher that my BTC  there to withdraw the BTC. A bit silly.

BTW what's a good way to convert  to $USD without too much in fees?.

SP_

Do you have some optimized and stable miner for equihash or lyra2v2 to sell?. If so, pls. send me a p.m.

I compliled tpruvot's with raziel's fix of ccminer.cpp  un ubuntu 16.

Now the miner reports 3194 Kh/s, and MPH oscillates all over the place. Sometimes more, sometimes less.
I'll know if this thing works when I collect statistics of gained zcoins in a few days.

how to download the same version with fix?

Download the usual tpruvot ccminer, and replace ccminer.cpp with the file uploaded by raziel in 'pulls' section of that git.

The compilation in cuda9 has been a little pain because I've left older versions of cuda, but with some time it's possible to fix all the errors.

Mining this coin is very electroeffective for me) It takes only 130W on 1080 Ti
How is it possible?

The Lyra2z algorithm is very power friendly since the bottleneck is the shared memory.

that's the reason I'm mining it. Maybe in the future only coins with power friendly algos will be regarded.

At least that's eco friendly. Indeed, someone could create the 'ecocoin', mineable with solar cells.

https://www.nicehash.com/?p=calc

give you some idea of today's rate estimated earning

Not an estimate - my numbers from yesterday computed for monthly is

$217/mo on Skein

If you're already getting 700 Sol/s and it's already set up you might as well just leave it there because as techno8k just posted it's at

$223/mo so 1 is not astronomically better than the other ATM

what?. I'm getting about 780 Sol/S on a 1080 ti Strix average (EWBF) + 280 Sol/s on an  RX 570 (Claymore Zec) and I combined in MPH  I  don't get remotely that 223/mo.

What are good pools for Zcoin?

zcash.flypool.org is the best one, there shouldn't be any doubts. It's the biggest one, it has more than 40% of hashrate of ZEC network.
Wink You missed the whole point...my friend.....  Zcoin  !=   Zcash

Can't blame him, so many Z - something - coins hard to keep track which is which.

yes, zhitcoins. However, I read a comment by the great Snowden saying that zcash is devoloped by professionals, by people who knows what cryptography is. So it might be a good idea to invest in zcash. I don't know.

Everything spooks say is an enigma, don't forget that zcash is closed source and the devs basically admitted on twitter they can introduce a backdoor to track "criminals" to comply with AML/KYC laws https://twitter.com/zooko/status/863202798883577856?lang=en
So no idea what Snowden has been smoking, he falls in that category in the eyes of US law, zcash devs would glady deanon his transactions yet he endorsed them, go figure.

Snowden is actually a clueless moron. Im not sure why anyone would think he is a reference. Oh right, the medias...

Snowden is a pretty smart guy. Obviously he can be as clueless on this topic as anyone. Living in Russia can't be good for anyone. However he has made enormous contributions to the freedom of the people that wants some freedom.  For instance, thanks to him we know NSA  has nothing to do against strong encryptation.

Looks like found blocks with the hacked-together patched 0.13' version make 0.8' versions crash..

lol..

Ever heard of testnet, guys ?

Hint: Compare the CheckTransaction() functions Smiley have fun

Does you pool still can mine this coin now ? or suggest we switch to other coin?

Thank you.

You can mine it, however with 95% hashrate centralized on one pool it takes some time until a block has been found

good to hear you xzc pool is back, we trust suprnova, Bro. don't leave us. :'-(

I'm here, no worries, there's at least one guy who seems reasonable here and at least cares, AizenSou...

Let's see how it goes.

ocminer,

see my posts in this thread. I find  suprnova more trustable than MPH, but it has been down for so long that at end it has been an even worse solution than MPH. If you are able to keep the business running 24/7 I'll be back, but not before.

34  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 1080Ti Specific - Best mining option on: September 30, 2017, 05:56:46 PM

What miner is giving you 3400?.

ccminer2.0rc2 cuda 6.5

You sure suprnova is good ?
It seems to give me less than wtm says.

zpool is good ?

All current options are terrible.
Suprnova -> I get more coins than in  MPH when is working, but stop working very often, so the final result is worse.
MPH -> see zcoin's thread, people no happy with the reported hash v.s. miner hash
zpool -> the owner just re-started this algo two/three days ago, so no many blocks

The best is that you try  to see what fits better for you.
35  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 1080Ti Specific - Best mining option on: September 30, 2017, 04:13:46 PM

These are the results I get as well with Djm34 'official' version. With Tpruvot's version I get about 2950, but MPH accepts only  about 80% of that.
Power usage is fine as well.  This is the real nice thing of algo lyra2z.

I use this one : https://github.com/djm34/ccminer-msvc2015/releases/
tested with this one too, same 2500 hashrate : https://github.com/Tourgasm/xzc-ccminer/releases/

Don't understand such a difference with you

What intensity do you set for the miner ? it's 16 by defautl, I can't go higher than 20, higher it crashes

Edit : okay my miners were wrong.
The good one gives me 3400 khs !!!

That's djm34's I was talking about. As I said before, I get the same as you running in linux.
It's tpruvot's that gives higher hashes, but there's something wrong in it that makes the pools accept much less hashes. Please, take a look at the final pages of zcoin's thread for more information.

What miner is giving you 3400?.

36  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Zcoin (XZC) - Implementing Zerocoin technology for financial privacy on: September 30, 2017, 04:07:37 PM
Why difficulty jumped from 7200 to 9400 all of a sudden? 1 block was 7200 and next one 9400 Huh  Huh Huh Sad

+1 I saw that block number 54348 jumped from 7281.6 to 9586.1, why?

because almost all the coins are developed by a bunch of teenagers. There are pictures with acne in some of them.  No professional teams behind.
37  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 1080Ti Specific - Best mining option on: September 30, 2017, 03:47:40 PM
optimizing for lyra2z, does it react to core, memory or none?
Loving this algo, 1080ti does great on it and cards stay very cool.
getting ~3000kh/s on msi aero 1080ti oc

Which pool do you mine and what is your current settings?

Miningpoolhub
ccminer 2.2 x86
cminer -a lyra2z -o stratum+tcp://europe.lyra2z-hub.miningpoolhub.com:20581 -u x -p x --cpu-priority=3
384.94 driver / win 10 ltsb 2016 x64
MSI 1080ti aero oc
PL 110
core + 160
mom - 300
fan 40%
temp 58C

not sure if the core oc is necessary at all, those were the skunkhash settings and i just switched algo.

Why u mine on miningpoolhub that doesnt accept all ur hashrate? U mine 30% less then u should. Their pool is retarded unfortunately

I just noticed that too Shocked
Usually I am very happy with mph, but it seems their zcoin one is broken.
Only reporting 8mh/s while i have 12.

is supernova mining Z[Suspicious link removed]d ?

how do you get 3000 k/hs ?

I only get 2500 khs with my aorus 1080TI, +100 core + 400 mem, NVIDIA 385.41 driver

but the power usage is only 52% in afterburner..( even is card set to 100% =
Anyone can help me ?

These are the results I get as well with Djm34 'official' version. With Tpruvot's version I get about 2950, but MPH accepts only  about 80% of that.

There was an orphan block issue which can be resolved by going to Help > Debug Window > Console and typing in:

Quote
invalidateblock 36b6773ada5f879af88cae474c530c72cdcb0f40970890b60241d36a765cee8

This should put you on the correct chain. The fix has already been pushed on Github but are testing binaries.

We're starting our own pool soon to reduce problems like this at least until more pools pop up.

As for MPH stealing hashrate, we investigated into this with MPH and don't think this is true but due to an issue with people using Tpruvot's ccminer which has some differences from djm34's version.
Djm34 will come up with an official version soon for this but there's a community modified miner for this by ckraziel

Use binaries at own risk but I tested the miner and it seems okay and he did a pull request with the requested modification.
https://github.com/tpruvot/ccminer/pull/24

ccminer 2.2.1 x64 cuda 9: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0Bz5n9rB3aWeYYlpSVklUTTVIWGc
ccminer 2.2.1 x86 cuda 9: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0Bz5n9rB3aWeYaHZ1c0U1a3VGYkk

again.... why there is not version for linux?. No linux, no serious/knowledgeable team behind.

39  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Zcoin (XZC) - Implementing Zerocoin technology for financial privacy on: September 29, 2017, 08:34:20 AM
I agree with all of you as for MPH vs. Suprnova comparison. However, what's worse, hash 'disappeared' or no working pool?.

My card produces  about 2900 Hash/second.
--supernova
(begin)  sep 21 13:55:53 CEST 2017  --> 0 zcoin
(end)    sep 28 09:58:04 CEST 2017 --> 1.31968557
***0.1932 zcoins/day

If always on-line that should have produced 0.26 zcoins/day (averaged value when all works fine)

40  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Zcoin (XZC) - Implementing Zerocoin technology for financial privacy on: September 28, 2017, 04:22:41 PM
surpnova dies too often, don't know why is that, i like it more than MPH, but i lost 6 hours of mining last night because of that, so if that continues i have to change pool..

I stopped at suprnova, since at least 1 day, if not two,  of mining has been completed lost for me. Zero earnings during the last two days of minning.
I disconnected today, and probably they won't reward me for any of the last two days.

I don't like mininghubpool for Zcoin, I think much hash disappears, they consistently show lower hashrate than the real one.
I've done tests, and I get more coins in supernova.  However, I'm returning to MPH because of  how bad managed is supernova.
