21  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Binance Twitter account have been hacked! on: July 19, 2020, 05:07:44 PM
This si so embarassing and it pointed out that we don't actually need a password. Not your key, not your access should be implemented.
This is no ordinary hack, it's too hard to hack Twitter, and I believe they have enough security to keep people safe. I think someone inside the company did this
No this is a social engineering attack so mostly doesn't matter if you have strong security or not. More likely a breach in human communication protocol and allow hacker to get hold information to log in. Look up their report explains this matter.
22  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Talk Token and Yobit on: July 19, 2020, 04:44:35 PM
We don't pay for messages from these countries: 'NG','EG','PK','ID','VE','BD','PH'.

I think the method of limiting the area makes them look unprofessional at work. The purpose of crypto is basically to eliminate the limitations that occur in this world. So everyone can use it.  The forum was developed to discuss the crypto problem, so contrary to the basic purpose of cryptos.
They have been stating to decrease the spam on their forum but the major problem should be those participants are getting paid with the garbage coin right now. The talk token is very similar or it's the same as another crap coin that listed on investbox. The participants will get zero value.
Yeah, their pay to post scheme to make their forum lively comes to slow down very fast one they switch their payment into their in-house token. Now, I wonder who would desperate enough to post to receive that token.
23  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investment in a wrong way on: July 18, 2020, 05:21:14 PM
Nowadays investing in crypto is so much difficult compared before with all this scram project popping out its hard to distinguish a good project from a bad one, ample research won`t suffice since most of them gather funding before they start developing and if the project hit a roadblock most of the devs will just abandon the project and start a new, so don`t just invest on smoke and promises invest on those that have something working and all it needs is funding.
Actually, it harder to find a safe and good project back then than today. Just because the market today oversaturated so little chance to make a profit but at least, scammers don't as many as before.
24  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO increasing rapidly on: July 18, 2020, 05:15:41 PM
Until now there are still many scam ICOs, not really recommendable to invest especially those who new in crypto space. Most of the investors now prefer IEO in the big exchanges because of high chances to be successful project.
Yes, ICO scams always appear in this market. Every day there are many new projects created to deceive investors, so be really careful with it.
No, ICOs today don't have a stand on the market anymore or like they used to be. You should worry about other new forms of that trending lately like DeFi and such.
25  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Scammers favorite tools on: July 17, 2020, 05:24:05 PM
I bet on scammer's next favorite tools is going for DeFi project since they're trending right now. Please invest in DeFi project carefully.
26  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Both PoW and PoS algos are scams. Here's why. on: July 16, 2020, 04:40:29 PM

Everything is backed with money; could you please enlighten me on something which is not backed by money but still people are engaging into it by spending all their efforts and time (and money as well).

Food, energy and minerals are not backed with money. They are commodities with self value that can be bartered any time without money.
So to you, anything that does have a self value is not a scam while anything that backed under fiat and nothing else is a scam? That's very simple thinking, akin to black and white and nothing else. Sorry, I have to disagree with you.
27  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Mass Twitter accounts of crypto companies and personalities got hacked! on: July 16, 2020, 03:47:54 PM
And also, check this blockchain transaction here: https://www.blockchain.com/btc/address/bc1qxy2kgdygjrsqtzq2n0yrf2493p83kkfjhx0wlh

The hacked tweet from Elon Musk’s account alone has raised 1.5 BTC. My goodness!

Twitter is hevaily liable on this matter. If they were to switch to a decentralized micro-blogging platform where private keys are the only method to access, this wouldn’t have happened!
Although I agree on twitter's fault to let such a vulnerable on their system but still, why would anyone still gullible and fall for a scam like that?

29  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Possible Binance DEX or Atomic Wallet hack on: June 21, 2020, 05:45:41 PM
It seems like that your seed or privkey is exposed and you got hacked is more likely than it was on Binance DEX or Atomic Wallet fault. No one can access your wallet unless they got your seed or privkey somehow.
30  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitfinex IEO "RingX" on: June 21, 2020, 06:23:35 AM
This is just a part of public sale of Ringx tokens. They plan to sell a total of 150million Ringx token through private and public sells according to their Whitepaper. The prices could be different on private sells. The 150 million tokes is still just 30% of the total supply of 500 million tokens. 70% of which are going to team and advisor and marketing.
So this is only the first sale on Bitfinex with a small allocation, then when will the private sale begin? is their marketing good enough to do marketing compared to IEO which is quite better than the sale?
That's not the first sale on bitfinex. I remember bitfinex was doing some crowdsale too. there will be no private sale as the coin has already traded on bitfinex and investors have been making very good ROI from there.
Well, it doing well so far but that is very understandable for such a low number of the initial sales. The ROI for anyone invested in the beginning is good too but I still have my doubt since $50,000 is a very easy amount to manipulate if you want.
31  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Vault coin. is it a scam? on: June 21, 2020, 06:13:37 AM
What's up with people having a thing with projects that use 'bitcoin' in their name? I won't call this project a scam just because it's name is Bitcoin vault, that's not right, sharing names have no meaning, use case is what I'm more interested in.

OP if the returns are too high then it's probably a scam, don't listen to people calling the project a scam because of its name, Bitcoin cash is a scam too? I guess not, what I'm against here is High returns, there is no real project that will give out huge ROI, they are probably a Ponzi scheme
Yup, any project that promises you high ROI, huge profit or anything close to that is most likely try to scam you.
32  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Gift cards to bitcoin or Ethereum on: June 21, 2020, 06:10:03 AM
Hi friends, do you guys know any reliable website or platform that I can trade gift cards for Bitcoin ? Please don't mention paxful, I lot few cards on that website, thanks
Like the other user suggested, you can try the Digital Goods section on this forum. Use an escrow, but still selling gift card is a bit complicated. Like, what if the user claims that the card isn't working after redeeming it or it doesn't really works? There is no way to proof either anyone of you guys are saying the truth, hence the escrow can't do much over here and just be lost. The best way to trade over here is to build a reputation first. Try trading with trusted users over here. Another way might be make him redeem the code through team viewer or something (sounds absurd, i know lol).
You can always set up those AutoShops, but most people don't trust them.
Yes, this is the only way for him as an untrusted new trader. Find any long time, trusted trader to trade and build up your reputation, op.
33  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Officially fraud!!!! sportbet.one on: June 21, 2020, 06:05:48 AM
You can post this accusation on Scam Accusations. Just follow the format that's pinned on that section.
[1] https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=83.0

Making as scam accusation  is not the right way for this one its better to contact the support and ask them to what is really happening and wait for the explanation .

Or make a post for the issue he experience in sportbets announcement thread here I am sure they can answer it there.

I talked with them. they say it doesn't concern us. I bet against the platform. it wasn't a fair encounter. and I shouldn't be a victim of this situation

The platform you made a bet with doesn't control the esport or the results. The esports organizer would have their own set of rules and ways of making decision. If you were to bet with any other platform, same would have been the result for all. There's nothing the platform could do in this case. If you don't like how things happen in that Esoccer live arena esports, don't bet on Esoccer live arena's games.

The platform you made a bet with doesn't control the esport or the results. Huh?

If you think there is a foul play between that esport organization and the betting website, make an accusation toward any of them on both here and their social platform. Inquire them why that score was canceled to see their reason. Your money won't coming back but at least, other will know if those two are in bed with each other to manipulate bet rate and result.

34  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Why we trust binance exchange? on: June 14, 2020, 09:33:51 AM
Why? Because 1, 2, 3 already well-know fact among the crypto community that Binance clearly the number one. Compare to other exchanges with their bullshit and shady data about security, volume, IEO launcher,... I take Binance over any day.
35  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Any use for failed cryptos? on: June 14, 2020, 09:28:03 AM
Any use for coins/tokens of defunct projects like Synereo/Hyperspace (AMP) and others?
Most likely no use for them unless there are rumors of another team will to take over and revive those cryptos. I saw one thread about someone who want to take over a dead project in so it isn't impossible.
36  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Crypto Exchange Owner Admits Laundering $1.8M in Online Auctions Fraud on: June 14, 2020, 02:49:26 AM
Quote
Often using stolen identities, the group would pretend to be U.S. military personnel who needed to sell their goods before beginning a tour of duty. They even set up a fake call center to assuage any concerns victims had about the advertisements.
Most victims are just greedy pigs. I saw too many scams like this, "U.S. military joe wants to marry you and send you a gift, please pay some fee to receive it" to even care or give sympathy to the victims.  $1.8M laundering but how much for his commission of that amount? The exchange owner should know better because that is just a tiny amount to risk himself.
37  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Future of Crytopcurrency on: June 13, 2020, 04:47:55 PM
Which crypto you're thinking when you mentioned: "future is cryptocurrency". Cause right now, I saw a lot of cryptos said exactly the same thing but they still have a few flaws, some even worse. Sure I understand your point about the future but it will be very long to that future if nothing changes.
38  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Smartphones aren't spywares attack proof on: June 13, 2020, 04:40:41 PM
Huh, this is the first time I see someone said that wallet client on PC is less secure than a mobile wallet on the phone. Are you sure you get it right and understand the mobile wallet and the ecosystem of a smartphone, which typical between ios and android os? I know that smartphones need your permission for each app, su and root but just one click to allow data storage access could lead to a string bad things. And you know, PC is not just windows but linux/unix based distro too and they could be very secure if you want.
39  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: High rewards still possible in bounties? on: June 13, 2020, 04:24:19 PM
I think it is impossible under today's standard. First, the bounty manager won't let you take that huge reward unless you're cheating. Second, most bounties funding right now well below that amount so unless coin from the bounty somehow mooning to 10-100x so the fund would be higher and each reward would be higher too.
40  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Timing to Hodl tokens is very important. on: June 13, 2020, 04:19:55 PM
I kinda understand what you want to say. There should be a balance between the time of holding cryptocurrency. Holder groups that root for either long term or short term usually only take results that justify their thinking. They failed to realize the timing is the most important than black and while holding style like that.
