1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: if bitcoin becomes the country's currency on: June 01, 2018, 10:53:41 PM
I highly doubt that bitcoin will become any country's main currency. However I believe it can replace paypal and be used for international, or merely private, transactions.

Most are not good, they're often used for money laundering and tax purposes as well. I also think it's better to pay for good service and products to keep the economy going, on top of rules to prevent monopolies from lobbying, rather than hand out money.
3  Other / Off-topic / Re: What did you want to be when you were a kid? on: June 01, 2018, 10:49:38 PM
I wanted to be a mad scientist making cool monsters and robots. Let's see if that will still happen in future.
4  Other / Off-topic / Re: What kind of life do you think is perfect? on: June 01, 2018, 10:10:57 PM
A life with a community of people who love you, and a community where you have a role/job/status.
5  Other / Meta / Re: Merit System: the true value behind it on: May 28, 2018, 04:53:03 PM
To be honest, I don't like some aspects of the merit system. The only reason I am going out of my way to post regularly is because I want to be able to use avatars. I am usually a person of little words, and I feel like making people post so much is just taking up more server space.
6  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is age an important factor in a relationship? on: May 28, 2018, 04:37:20 PM
Yes, it matters, just like anything else matters. Both should be above age of consent and have enough life experience to know what they want in a partner, and they should be able to relate to eachother on a certain level. It's not always bad for someone who is 20 years apart, for example, to date eachother but it may be more difficult than two people of the similar age. If I had a kid who was 20, I would raise my eyebrows if a 60 year old was after him/her, but I would not mind if my kid was 40, for example, and a 60 year old wanted to date them. It's all relative and depends on the context.

However, I often think - why would a older person, like a 40 year old man, be going after a 20 year old woman when he can be with another woman of the same age who is more mature and more relatable? Obviously it's not because of the young woman's "personality", because what does she offer than an older woman cannot? Youth and looks. So the man is specifically going after the young one for her hotness. See, this is what I don't agree with. There is nothing wrong with liking someone for their youth and looks, just don't blow smoke up people's asses about "connecting" and liking their "personality".
7  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Health and Religion on: May 28, 2018, 04:31:11 PM
It's not religious belief in itself that is helpful with health, but many religions are set up to promote social collectivism and keep the family unit together, which helps with health as it provides a good, stable environment to raise children in.

Also, just because a group has many children does not mean they are more healthy. There is alot of overweight, fat Christians in the US, for example. However I would say that as a group, Mormons are physically healthy because many of them focus on family helping eachother in hard times, providing a social net for fellow Mormons, and because they don't smoke, drink, or do drugs.
8  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What do you think of North Korea? on: May 28, 2018, 04:20:05 PM
I think N Korea ain't shit. It's a small country with no industry, there is no way they could've afforded all those missiles by themselves. They cannot even feed their own people let along their own troops, how could they be any actual threat? Think about it.

The attention on N Korea right now is just used as a distraction from the bigger "countries of conflicting interest" that the US does not want to deal with yet. N Korea is a safe proxy for us to mess with, because the ones with any actual influence, we are not ready to attack them publicly yet like Russia and China.

N Korea is nothing.
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to hold coins in 2018 on: May 28, 2018, 03:57:12 PM
I don't plan on selling coins back for fiat "for profit", I plan on holding until it increases in "purchasing power" and then using cryptos. I prefer the speed and anonymity of cryptos.

I think in purchasing power, not profit.
10  Other / Off-topic / Re: How to get a beautiful woman. on: May 28, 2018, 03:52:26 PM
Getting a beautiful woman is no different than getting any woman, most women want the same thing. Be able to support yourself/your wife/family, spend time with your woman and talk to her, take care of yourself physically. That is about it.

For 6 years, this girl already shows she doesn't want you. She can also probably tell you just want her for her looks, because otherwise you would've mentioned other things about this girl to us. Go find another girl who you can appreciate both physically and mentally.
11  Other / Off-topic / Re: How do you know that you are with the right person? on: May 27, 2018, 09:09:15 PM
i'm male, 32, have had a lot of partners in my life and am finally with a woman whom i love, who loves me, and whom i plan on marrying.

we met online 13 years ago this year on a forum, and became very close friends who've talked and known eachother and always stayed in touch ever since.

3 years ago i was finally able to find a year where i could meet her, which happened to be ten years after we met online. i asked her to choose a month, and i flew from australia to see her in prague in august of 2015. we fell further in love and decided to try and now i'm travelling the world to stay with her while she works as an art director for a game dev. and it's the most amazing feeling i've ever felt in my life.

when you have someone who shows just as much empathy and consideration for you as you do them, someone who will compromise their life for you as much as you would them, who loves you truly for what you represent to them, who you are inside and what you are, as you do them... man it's something i've never felt before, and used to think i knew what love  was. but this is something else.

all the pain i endured through my life before this, the hardship from previous heartbreaks, the depression i suffered, it was all worth it to grow into the person i am today who loves this woman with every part of his soul. life's pretty nutty.

How long were you long distance? What made you think it was worth it, instead of finding a local girl?

For the ones who pray, what is your religion?

I was raised a protestant pentecostal, so the prayers I am aware of may be different from Hindu or Islamic, for example.
13  Other / Off-topic / Re: how to get a girlfriend on: May 27, 2018, 03:24:40 PM
You have to learn to be satisfied with yourself, and not be lonely even when you are by yourself. You first find a path for your life, a goal or a dream, and as you walk that path will you find your girl who will walk alongside you. That is truly the best way to meet a girl.

Focus on improving yourself. Have a purpose in life, develop your social skills, have a sense of humor. Take care of your appearance and health, get a job and build decent savings, and don't be afraid to talk to girls. Not all girls will like you, but there are a couple who will.
14  Other / Off-topic / Re: How much money do you need to be absolutely satisfied? on: May 27, 2018, 03:12:02 PM
I would say enough to spend on shelter, food, and tools of trade for things I like to do. I draw and write, I tinker with electronics. I also want money that I can spend on my boyfriend. If I get family, I need to make enough to support their needs.

In America, where I live, I think I'd be satisfied with $3000 a month. It's not much but it's not bad either.

16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: is ETH very cheap now? on: May 27, 2018, 12:37:11 AM
It's a good time to buy. It's been $1300 before, so right now it's a good time. Unlike bitcoin, applications can be written on ethereum.

What should you look for in a partner? What are the red flags? Are you female or male?
18  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Some Lightning channels up on mainnet. Should this be encouraged? on: January 20, 2018, 01:02:37 AM
It's still beta, I rather not risk it. Also, listen to the creators.
19  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Bitcoin versus other offline currencies on: January 18, 2018, 12:01:23 AM
Bitcoin can only be used if you have a virtual connection, however that connection is universal. Bitcoin is also portable, swift, and protects your privacy like cash would. That is where the power lies.
20  Other / Off-topic / Re: What is your favorite manga? on: January 17, 2018, 11:35:21 PM
Berserk is pretty good, I agree.

There is many good manga, but the first one to pop up that I've been thinking about recently is Cromartie High School. It's a comedy about delinquent highschoolers and very smart humor.
