121  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Blackout - No transactions on Christmas Eve! on: December 24, 2017, 05:16:33 PM
well, without this initiative i'm kinda doing it already, this year christmas is for my parents, my wife and my family.
I will put BTC and crypto world aside and enjoy my well deserved vacation (it has been a hell of year at work), i'll check it every now and then but no transaction from me.
This is a nice initiative but it will not solve the issue we have at the moment, let's hope 2018 will be a succesfull year, especially solving this issue!
122  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Future of altcoins without Bitcoin on: December 24, 2017, 05:12:52 PM
for couple of altcoins they might survive without BTC, can't be sure but some of them are kinda grown up and can walk by themselves.
Everything depends on investors and community, if people want to invest and support them like they are doing with BTC why not? It isn't an easy task but i think it can happen.
123  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will you donate Bitcoin for the poor and needy? on: December 24, 2017, 05:08:38 PM
well, i can't really donate my btc because it's just some dust in my wallet, but for sure, like every year i'm donating to charity, especially for childrens.
If everyone would just give something, BTC or not, their lives would be a bit better every day, think about that, we are lucky to have "almost" everything's needed.
124  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Best GDAX alternative? on: December 23, 2017, 05:05:38 PM
Kraken was one of the bst exchanger for me, but it's working in degraded mode for months, many errors, on the peaks it's impossible to login, even harder to make a transaction.
They promised to upgrade their infrastructure the first 2 weeks of December but as now, nothing changed.
Hopefully they'll do it before the end of the year, but for now i wouldn't hold my breath on that.
125  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Thank you Bitcoin and GOODBYE (Let it goooo) on: December 23, 2017, 02:48:10 PM
thank you too for selling everything and leave this cruel BTC world at the first sight of a dip.
Hopefully you will not regret it as soon as BTC will be back on track and stronger than before, it was a pleasure to have you with us.
We wish you farewell and best of luck with your BCH or whatever you will get.
126  Economy / Speculation / Re: get ready to buy guys on: December 23, 2017, 01:26:52 PM
well, i think this is still a good price but BTC is quickly recovering, yet another time some people lost the train after an huge drop of prices (me included because i'm stupid).
There is still some time to buy at "cheap" price but i wouldn't wait for too long.
127  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I need an opinion on rejecting a job offer or crypto on: December 23, 2017, 01:14:51 PM
I would advice you to give it a try and move abroad (i move d out of my country nearly 5 years ago, working), stable income it's always welcome and you might regret it in terms of salary but also in life experience.
Trading, mining and doing crypto stuffs can be done while abroad via internet, i would not lose the chance to at least try it, you will still have the possibility to go back to your country if you don't like it.
128  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 2018 is the new era for bitcoin? on: December 23, 2017, 12:56:17 PM
i'm expecting a weird year for BTC in 2018, roller coasting even more than the last couple of months with the mass adoption we will see things becoming huge.
My advice is to fasten your seat belt and enjoy the ride, because the BTC airlines can take us everywhere (up and or down of course).
129  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How Do You Cashout BitCoins? on: December 23, 2017, 12:33:28 PM
the few times i wanted to cash out something i did it through the exchanger (some of my coins were there) to send it directly to my bank account, otherwise like most of us, localbitcoin or, in case of friends/colleagues, by hands.
130  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Warning signals regarding cryptocurrencies investments on: December 23, 2017, 12:19:56 PM
same is happening in my homecountry but for me it's just a joke because my country can't relly understand how does this world works.
In a tv interview to our major, somebody asked him "how do you think we can regulate BTC?"
Do you really want to know his answer?
He answered: "there is anyone who can explain me what it BTC and how it works?"
We are light years away from the regulation of BTC, they will probably make in the coming 10 years a generic rule about this, but we all know this is a grey area and you can interpret the law and bending it to your needs..
131  Economy / Gambling / Re: Investing in a crypto currency casino (Just-Dice) on: December 23, 2017, 11:38:25 AM
i agree with Chris, why not invest in both? altcoins (the most promising ones) and some on casino.
Neither alt or casino can assure you profit but diversification would be the way to go depending on the amount of money you want to put in.
Like somebody said, trading is a zero-sum game but worse due to transfaction fees and if you set your "goal" as one year window nothing can assure you gains.
132  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why are so many people against bitcoin? on: December 22, 2017, 06:22:55 PM
there are many different kind of people against bitcoin, the most common are the ones who read newspaper, doesn't know anything about BTC and crypto in general and they feel entitled, because they read on a newspaper or facebook, to give their opinion on an unknown topic.
Then there is the ones you see here on forum as well, spreading FUDS just for the fun of it, "hey look! BTC is dying! down to 40% in 0.3 seconds!" and so on, i honestly have no idea why they are wasting their time trying to convince everyone to follow them.
Then, there are the ones who are lazy, not willing to read anything about this world but their opinion have more value than yours.
All in all, take everything with a pinch of salt, from the enthusiast to the negative, the truth usually, is in the middle.
133  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is the invention of the century! on: December 22, 2017, 05:17:56 PM
definitely blockchain and all the coin related (BTC in primis) it's a revolution in this IT world.
Last big one might have been the TCP/IP protocol, it was the foundation of the actual network where we are digitally living on Smiley
Plus, it has a market value, and this is huge.. i keep thinking if the inventor or TCP or the torrent protocol, in some way, could have gained profit out of these 2, how it would have developed internet?
134  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Upcoming forks and wallet question on: December 22, 2017, 05:02:48 PM
definitely if are interested in the new coin after the fork, it's better to move your dust to an offline wallet, in this way, owning the private key, you have the total control of your coins and on top of that, you will be able to claim coin after the fork.
Personally i'm using electrum wallet and it works properly and it's very easy to use, next step will be an hardware wallet next year.
135  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: This is history repeating itself - make it count on: December 22, 2017, 03:36:34 PM
haha, nobody listens NOW. it will fall on deaf ears.

let the weak hands get on with their panics and run out of coins to sell and let the price reversal start and then leads to the next set of rallies in one week after the bottom and then everyone starts listening to this and starts buying out of FOMO. and history repeats itself another time Wink

like for any country history, history repeating itself and people will never lern from history (it was boring for me at school i admit) but reading the last couple of topics in this forum is confirming it.
People will never learn from mistakes Smiley
136  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you think BTC will above 20k start of 2018? on: December 22, 2017, 03:33:54 PM
yep, this is a hell of a correction, pretty scary but in the last 2 hours BTC price rise up a bit more, we're "only" -16% compared to yesterday.
This makes me a bit more confident we will get back on track soon, still there are issue which have to be solved but we're ok-ish.
137  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A Q for Bitcoin gamblers. Are you affected by high transaction fees? on: December 22, 2017, 03:18:36 PM
this is another thing i wasn't considering at start but right now transaction fees are very high, i guess the best way to gamble now is with altcoins or by depositing a good amount of coins once to not keep paying fees every small deposit.
138  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoins dropping! What price point to buy? on: December 22, 2017, 03:15:06 PM
if only i would have some money to invest this would be the perfect time to buy some, i'm not sure it will go below 10K but you never know.
Many topics in the last couple of months about people willing to buy but the price was way too high, now it's your time folks, if you are willing to invest some money (always the amount you are willing to lose), don't hesitate, do it now Smiley
139  Economy / Speculation / Re: If going long, do you hodl or sell the dips and buy back lower? on: December 22, 2017, 02:37:16 PM
as a small amount holders, transaction fees are killing me, i don't want to leave anything on exhangers so, having my dust on a wallet leave me in a sort of limbo.
Sending it to exchangers will cost a lot compared to what i have, then after some trading (with some luck to gain something) you have to send it back to the wallet, and some more fees have to be paid.
In 2018 i will change my tactic and somehow will find a way to keep some on a trusted exchanger for when this kind of dips occur.
140  Other / Off-topic / Re: Bitcoin is a good investment now, because... on: December 22, 2017, 02:05:56 PM
now it's the best period of the year to invest due to price correction, consider it as christmas BTC sales, people were waiting for this drop to happen to be able to buy some more.
The price last month was way too high to invest (unless of course you have a lot of money to invest) but right now it's perfect time!
