in 5 years there will be a lot more people interested in BTC and this is only a good news for this world. Giving a chance to bitcoin (online shops transactions, loans and so on) have an huge impact in real life and BTC can help with that; there will be more investors and many sharks who join this world just for some gain but all in all is not as bad as it sounds; spreading the day-by-day BTC usage would be amazing, for sure money wont be replaced but blockchain will be a different form of payment, on pair with credit/debit card, paypal, wire tranfers and so on.

one month ago i would have says possible but not really realistic, today i'm a bit more confused. Seems the uptrending of BTC is going strong, a lot of fuds around didn't touch BTC at all, is keep growing at a very fast rate, id say it's quite impressive. 10k it's a bit too much optimistic, i would say we can easily reach 8/8.5k by the end of the year, is not the peak what's interesting is where BTC can steadily reach! what i love of this uptrending is the support this crypto world is receiving from the world, the snowball started years ago, nobody can stop it yet

hardware wallet is a must if you want to store your BTC for long time, like everyone already told you, you don't own your BTC unless are stored in a wallet where you own the private key. Just don't be like couple of guys i've read on this forum who lost his passphrase/password and whatever is needed to get access to your wallet, you will lose everything if you forget your password and it's hardly recoverable. paper wallet, if properly stored and covered in plastic paper are safe but have to be kept in a safe place waterproof/fireproof because, all in all it's still paper.

it depends to what degree you want to get into crypto world. BTC itself can be considered like a stock market option, you have some you buy/sell trade on a daily basis and you are ok with that (gain or lose), for this point you don't need a deep knowledge of the technology behind, you just need to be on pair with news and be prepared to pump&dumps in order to buy low and sell high. Different thing is if you want to deeply understand this technology while holding your BTC/alt coins. Understanding what's behind crypto world takes time, a lot of reading around besides his market value because, the people who are contributing to this world are not just holding because they want to get rich at certain point in time, but because they trust this project and want to contribute to his life. Again, also for the first point having a better understand/knowledge of this world helps a lot with trading but is not really needed; sometime i read some legendary guys in this forum explain some stuff which for me are quite hard to understand because i'm not so deeply informed in it but it really amaze me, these guys are the ones who are contributing more than others to this, are committed to do this and we can only applause them!

i think we have read this statement way too many times already, can BTC itself die? yes of course it can, but the technology behind (decentralisation, blockchain and all the services around it) will never die. BTC started small but caused a snowball, the world has evolved and changed his shape with BTC, blockchain will be used in many different way in the future, not just for crypto. We also read about banning all the crypto in x countries now and in the future, if this will get big, for sure somebody will find a different way to use the blockchain to start something different but related to this project. BTC can die but not this project, forget about it, people will keep support it even if it shift in something different than today.

you are never late to join the BTC train, but what you should ask yourself about BTC is: are you buying to do daily trading for gains or you believe in this project and, by buying some, you want to contribute to this world? If so, do not check the BTC price every 10 minutes (like i did in the past and trust me, is not healthy) and forget about it, if you want to do daily trading, that's a different story.

i do agree with the OP, we just need to relax and watch the bigger picture; every now and then when the price of BTC swing much i check the exchanger charts to see the whole trend of BTC, if you check it from the start of BTC until now (without focusing in the day by day price) you see a steady increase of the price, of course it can drop every now and then but the trend show that BTC will keep growing in the future. So, unless you are a trader (or somebody who invested in altcoins who pray it would take over BTC), keep calm and hodl! If you want to do some short term investment/trading, i would suggest to go with alts because BTC is a long term investment, huge drops/raise of price will not happen overnight for sure.

never had or heard about bank declining application to open a bank account. In both country (home country and country i'm living in right now) they didn't ask for a lot of information besides ID card and residential status and you can even open a bank account without the need to deposit anything. Maybe i've missed it but where are you from?

i guess the correction will happen after next fork but won't be that much as we saw with the last fork. My crystal ball is not working so i can't give an insight of it now..

when you are a newbie, to be sure go for BTC instead of altcoin, big fluctuation of the main coin can give you some gain while with alts you need to be a bit more expert before start to trade and earn.

ye a 2 posts account is vouching for him, not smelling like fish, what about you give a free trial to a reputable member of this community to try it out? Stay away from this shady topic unless proven it really works.

if banks will start to accept bitcoin, for me, it wont be a good news because that means BTC will be regulated, with the power of banks the whole concept of BTC/decentralisation and stuff like that will be wiped or twisted into something they want. At that point, BTC will become another currency being regulated by government, laws and politics.. i dont think community would take it as a good news.

well, they do have internet in space, but my guess is if martian guys are accepting it or they use only MarsCoin.. let me check marsstockmarket.mars and gets back to you! on a more serious note, why in hell they need BTC in space? to refuel their shuttle? Funny question though..
