301  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin be too big to fail? on: November 03, 2017, 03:06:08 PM
nothing is too big to fail, but the idea behind will not die.
Blockchain will be used for different project crypto related and, as history taught us, you can't kill an idea if there are people supporting it, and i'm sure this idea will be supported for life by his community.
302  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The cryptocurrency market cap touch the $200 billion mark on: November 03, 2017, 02:57:47 PM
ye, at this point with BTC so high i don't see the point in altcoins other than diversification (aka, selling them to buy BTC).
Altcoins were ok at start but for now does it worth to buy/hold?
303  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are you surprise by bitcoin price now? on: November 03, 2017, 02:26:49 PM
definitely we're all surprised by the rate of BTC price increase, it doesn't looks like an usual bubble; BTC is steadily increasing is value day by day.
I wont be surprised if it will grow up to 7/8k by the end of the year!

307  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Did you ever convince or encourage someone to invest in Bitcoin? on: November 03, 2017, 11:34:12 AM
i've encouraged couple of colleagues, but the very first sentence was: "this is what i'm doing, do you want to invest? Great, but i'm not responsible for your money, i can show you the market, how BTC is keep growing and that's it, your money, your decision".
I don't want to feel bad for somebody who will follow my steps and all of a sudden they lose money.
308  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I HATE 90% of Bitcoin investors on: November 03, 2017, 11:32:06 AM
A short summary of the topic: I hate people who act in accordance with their interests, not mine  Undecided

add to the summary this sentence too: "i'm jealous of the early adopter because they trusted a project while i didn't care at all, and noe they're rich and i'm not BabyRage"

Seriously, why the hate? I'm not an early adopter for many things (one of them was not being able to access to a proper pc when this project was born, was working abroad), but for sure i don't hate them, i envy them for trusting something new while i could not.
Gets over it bruh, everything revolves around money, especially for the new adopters!
309  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshi Nakamoto is 247th Richest Person in The World on: November 03, 2017, 09:52:13 AM
well.. he might be the xxxth richest person in the world but unless he/she/they sell all of their BTC the value is pretty much 0.
We have BTC and we know the value of it but until you convert it into fiat the value is only on the paper (putting aside shops and company who are accepting BTC as form of payment).
Anyway, if i would have been the creator of something unique, of course i would have tons of my own coins.. and as a creator i would hodl no matter what, it's my creation, my little son who grew from 0 to the world!
310  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BitCoin Is Too Complicated for Average People! on: November 03, 2017, 09:43:11 AM
there are different level of BTC technology, it depends how deep you want to go in order to understand it fully.
You have money and want to surf the BTC wave? alright, you just need to know what's an exchanger, the meaning of offline wallet and just some basic info about stock market (which you might already have with options, it works in the same way).
What to go deeper? deal, you have to learn what blockchain means, why you need x confirmation for the transaction and so on.
"we need to go deeper", that's up to you at this point.

First layer it's quite simple to be honest (not easy, simple), then it gets a bit more complicated (nothing very hard for an average person), the other layers are for people who are curious about this technology and not just about BTC market value.

313  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Proving the zip file for core is legit. on: November 01, 2017, 01:18:15 PM
Anyone have a guide on how to check the signatures?  Do I like take the zip file and put it through a hash of some sort?

what do you mean with signature? i guess you're talking about MD5 checksum, check this link:
https://www.lifewire.com/validate-md5-checksum-file-4037391

it is one way to check if the checksum it's the same as the one you got with the file Smiley
P.S. if you need help pm me and i'll guide you through the process
314  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Are Now Used in Crimes on: November 01, 2017, 01:09:56 PM
BTC can be considered as fiat, if people uses their money for crimes, i don't see the difference with BTC.
BTC are even easier to use due to decentralisation and anonymity, transaction can't be traced nor your can find who's the owner of the wallet.. not saying it's a good thing, but this is what's happening for years now.
315  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My mother is 70 ... on: November 01, 2017, 08:29:28 AM
your mother is 70 years old and she is very old, but she still wanted to invest those 30 $ in something that she does not even know deeply, she does it because she trusts you, you should not tell her:

I explained the volility of the coin that we could go from 100 to zero just like that.

If you really think bitcoin could drop to zero, why you continue to invest in bitcoin?

I'm amazed by the number of guys who answered to this post saying they're sad that a 70 years old doesn't want to learn what's BTC is and she only want to make some profit, are you guys serious?
For a 70 years old understanding crypto it's very hard, she did because, as a mother, fully trust her son.. sometime you guys need to step down your high horse and try to understand people.
Is not about capital, gains, volatility and stuff like that, for me this is a very nice gesture from his mother, put aside the value of BTC, because a gesture like this between mother and son it's priceless.. and is not affected by volatility and greedy person.
What the hell guys.. seriously.
I completely agree with the guy above me, enjoy the love of your mother instead..
316  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin just jumped $200, and then dumped $100... on: October 31, 2017, 02:59:15 PM
love this rollecoaster! in a couple of mins it went up for nearly 400$ and then back down, this crypto world is not for weak heart.
Sometime is really scary indeed, but there's still room for improvement (toward the top or the bottom) Cheesy

That's is the most important part because in a matter of minutes things might either change for the better or otherwise just like what is being witnessed not too long ago. But the issue is that a lot of people got into bitcoin with the wrong orientation which therefore affects the way they react to issues happen in the market. How I wish the way the people are happy they now they can show the same resilience in situations when the price is crashing to everyone amazement.

you, i like you.. great minds think alike!
You know why i'm not scared and will be an holder even if BTC would drop to 100$? Because the small amount i have was earned with hard work, giving advices, helping the community and so on, there was no investment involved (my financial situation is not the best ever), in all honestly, i don't know i would react if i would have invested real money, with my own money involved i would be so stressed because investing money i would have used to buy stuff i need (not luxury crap but useful things) it's a different story.
317  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should we buy now or sell? on: October 31, 2017, 02:48:30 PM
with another fork incoming (will it ever end?) i guess the BTC price will keep rising like we already noticed during le last 2 forks.
Besides these crapcoins created with the forks, for the hodlers it's an amazing thing.. keep em coming we're not scared!
