321  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My 387 Bitcoins got hacked and stolen! on: October 30, 2017, 01:33:39 PM
it does smell very fishy this story.
Like someone already pointed out, it's easy to find a transaction with more than 10 BTC and claim the wallet as yours.. adding your BTC address at the end for donation (what donation you want? in case this is real, you should educate yourself while playing with so much money) was the cherry at the top of the cake.
besides that, who would donate just because you lost a fortune? meh, this is weird..
322  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think Bitcoin will survive after 100 year ? on: October 30, 2017, 11:35:32 AM
for sure the idea on crypto/blockchain will stand still for long time, maybe somebody will use the blockchain for different stuff, who knows?
For sure we will not survive (at least most of us) for another 100 years to know what will happen Smiley
323  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's your biggest regret when it comes to Bitcoin? on: October 30, 2017, 10:59:40 AM
i guess like most of the people the biggest regret is to not have invested money in it.
Nobody can see the future, the practical side of me though it was just a nice (and useless) experiment, combined with the fact i wasn't at home but abroad without a pc i didn't have a chance to invest time in BTC.
don't want to cry over a spilled milk but most of us it went like this.
324  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do Bitcoin will be sustainable through the registration of the people? on: October 30, 2017, 09:33:40 AM
If you mean people will need to register their wallets to use bitcoin, then it won't be sustainable. No one would appreciate having all their transactions be public.

that actually would destroy the foundation of this philosophy, anonymity then the next step what would be? a centralised bank for the transaction?
That's not a good idea at all.

326  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does Satoshi Nakamoto Matter? on: October 30, 2017, 09:19:54 AM
if it wasn't for him, we wouldn't be here supporting this project but at this time, he's better to stay anonymous like he's doing since the start.
It might even be risky for his life to show his real face.
How much does he hold? it doesn't matter and by the way, as a matter of fact, if you would have created this massive monster called BTC i would have kept loads of coins even though it would not generate any income/value because it's like your baby who wouldn't keep most of it?
327  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why do we keep converting bitcoin back to dollars ? on: October 30, 2017, 09:06:20 AM
It's almost like we don't value it for itself, but what it's worth in "real" money.

Well, we are not even close to have BTC as daily basis currency, it does have an intrinsic value but for the day by day you need money, cash and so far you can use bitcoin for few shops (compared to the totality of the shops around the globe).
For now this is the only way to go in the future maybe this will change, but i doubt we are going to see BTC as a form of payment in the shops like debit card, credit card or cash.
328  Other / Off-topic / Re: Bitcoin is not gambling on: October 30, 2017, 08:49:54 AM
bitcoin itself is not gambling, is the use you do with BTC that can be gambling (pure gambling on websites or market trading), if you put aside the idea of crypto and consider it like a stock option, it's just another investment until you trade by buying low sell high.
329  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: is it risky to turn all my money to bitcoins? on: October 30, 2017, 08:43:34 AM
it's not just about investing everything in bitcoin, or gold, or anything else, the main issue is indeed investing everything!
That means if that thing fall you lost everything (for example in my home country the value of an apartment or house dropped to the ground due to country issue) and you have no margin to recover, diversification is always the good thing to do, some of your investment (put apart the crypto world) might fall but the rest are keep going.
In this way you can adapt and react by moving some of your finances in the right way.
330  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do Bitcoin will be sustainable through the registration of the people? on: October 30, 2017, 08:30:35 AM
what do you mean with "registration"?
You just don't register to bitcoin, you register on a forum maybe to support the BTC and the community.
Community has a big impact on the bitcoin life because through our support we keep alive this philosophy, a coin without community support it's just another crap coin created to pump and dump to gain some money; there were tons of altcoin who lasted like 2 months and we all know how it went from the creation to the death of the coin.
331  Other / Archival / Re: Custom BTC address! on: October 29, 2017, 02:07:04 PM
OK and after you use vanity gen to create the address and send me the private keys.

Now what ? You still have access to the address and will take whatever is sent to it at once 1
Not a good idea.

you are right, it's a matter of trust in any form of transaction.. i trust too much humans and i hope i'm not the only one because otherwise we'll be screwed.
332  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would the Bitcoin community be willing to crowdfund science? on: October 29, 2017, 02:05:19 PM
this would be an amazing way to show that btc community is not only about money, trading and such things, science and healthcare are the two things in life i would support without any problem; with all the money we waste for crap stuff why not?

334  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Once again,localbitcoin loots on: October 29, 2017, 12:44:51 PM
ye, this is one of the downside of this system, nothing we can do about it.
If the demand is going up, the transaction fee increase accordingly.

336  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Which one? on: October 29, 2017, 08:36:14 AM
BTC is love, BTC is life, the other coins are just for some short term profit, but still, with the market fluctuation BTC is the way to go.
337  Economy / Services / Re: brickblock.io - High paying Signature Campaign - BIG Payouts! (CLOSED) [FULL] on: October 29, 2017, 08:25:40 AM
Hello Strawbabies,
please update my Bitcoin Address to: 37x5AZ4iZSnKCDmgbbTzxwR2xLStZQGfPm
old one will expire in 2 days, thanks in advance (wasn't planned to be changed in any case).

I know there is the rule about the BTC address but my old one is expiring in a day:

if there is a possibility to change the address it would be lovely, otherwise the payment will not go through, let me know if you will change the address or not, if not i have to leave the campaign because it's useless to send the payment to an exired wallet.

Thanks and sorry for this issue.

you should have known that the wallet you are using have some weird expiry thing on addresses and you should have read the rules before joining so you don't have this problem now

is this post just to raise your postcount? because i'm asking to the campaign manager and yes, i'm able to read.
And no, that wallet is 4 years old, it has no weird expiration date, it's just kraken who's switching from bitgo to a different one.

339  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Somebody should make a movie about Satoshi on: October 28, 2017, 09:51:11 AM
They should call it, "The Satoshi Code" ..... and the plot must be similar to "The Da Vinci Code " .... Satoshi Nakamoto left

some encrypted hints in the original Bitcoin Protocol, which could only be deciphered when a new Super computer from the

NSA was used. They follow these bread crumbs and it leads them back to some secret agency within the NSA. Now that

will be very interesting.  Cool

was thinking nearly the same, just add Arrison Ford as Indiana Johnes and the lost wallet (the original Satoshi wallet with millions of BTC) and you got a free plot Smiley
340  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Longest time for bitcoin to enter your wallet? on: October 28, 2017, 09:41:20 AM
Just yesterday I sent a transaction from BitGo to Kraken with their instant confirmation feature and set the fees to "300 block confirmation" because multisig transactions are instantly confirmed to cooperating services. But Kraken was early to cut support from that service and I'm now left waiting for a transaction for over a day and a half...
just today ihave received a mail from kraken abou tleaving BitGo wallet to a different one, the BTC addresses are set to expire the 30th of October, that's probably the problem.
