401  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Microsoft accepting BITCOIN ??!! on: October 16, 2017, 11:27:42 AM
Microsoft is always a step ahead of the rest of the IT company, MS received a lot of blackmailing in the past and failed hard on different OS (windows vista, millenium and some other crap) but, at least for me, she always recognized their mistakes.
In a nutshell you can put money into your MS account for digital goodies by depositing BTC.. it's a shame that MS didn't advertised more the use of BTC.

i'm using kraken for years now, reliable and low fee exchange; never had any issue with them besides some site unreachable every now and then

what if you die under the nuclear explosion? not wishing anything like this but you should consider this option too, gold, btc, fiat.. useless
besides dying, electricity is the issue for crypto

408  Economy / Services / [FREE] IT Specialist/Architect solution manager at your service! on: October 13, 2017, 12:44:58 PM
Hello fellow bitcoiners,
i would like to offer my service to you guys.

Background:
i’ve started in the IT in 1997 (ye, i’m an old bloke) in a small company, throughout the years i’ve moved to different companies until i’ve joined big multinational companies (Citybank, Vodafone and so on).
Went from a simple pc/server builder until now, a technical solution manager in one of the 100 fortune company (i wont name it but well… easy to guess).

What i offer:
Have you doubt about xyz software? Have you lost your data and need someone who can guide you to recover them? Have you an idea about a new infrastructure? Need help with virtualization? Need some hints about your network security? Penetration test? what’s that?
Fear not, i’m here to help you!

What i expect from you:
I expect you to trust me, of course not blindly as i am “another guy from internet” but i want to gain your respect with time and my experience.
“can you hack xyz facebook account?” despite if i can or not, i will not do anything illegal for you.

What to expect from me?:
Experience in this field, technical knowledge with a solid background and will to help you.

How much does this cost?:
It’s up to you, i would like to offer my services for free, donation and tips are always welcome of course! (i trust way too much humans)
P.S. depend on the criticity and the request, if you are asking me to design a new infrastructure it wont be free but i’m always willing to negotiate.

How long will it takes?:
Depends on the difficulty and, as i have a full time job, on my free time but for sure, if i accept to solve your issue, i will find the time to write and help you.

Unless you clearly ask me i WILL NEVER ask you for credential, to connect to your system remotely and things that will harm (or potentially harm you) your machine.

If you are interested, send me a PM and let’s help each other!
409  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC hit $5600+ on: October 13, 2017, 08:20:30 AM
price is keep rising and, IMHO, will keep grow before the upcoming fork.. if it was for me i would HODL everything but i don't want the responsibility for your BTC Smiley
Definitely i would keep my BTC very close, use your brain not your emotion while trading
410  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Main problem for mass-adoption? on: October 13, 2017, 07:27:37 AM
because they are not educated about this crypto world, i don't see any problem to explain them (like you would explain to a 12 years old kid) what really Bitcoin is, and in particular satoshi.
"They don't know", it's your time to let them know how this works, educate them, they will thank you later!
411  Economy / Services / Re: Could you answer some questions? on: October 12, 2017, 11:12:33 AM
nice and simple questionnaire, filled it for a good cause.
Keep studying, the best way to understand how this crypto world is going is to get educated!
412  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin overcome Paypal? on: October 12, 2017, 10:08:36 AM
this can sound a good way to pay instead of paypal, but on the other side of the coin, when you do a BTC transaction it's irreversible while with payPal you have a safety net and adding an escrow in the middle can help the process (but it will raise the price of the transaction); all in all would be a nice payment method but still, is not for "ignorant" people
413  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Small investors now is your time! on: October 12, 2017, 09:48:56 AM
checking the BTC graph for the 14th of Sept. (date of this topic) which was 3.2k Euro and checking it right now: 4.3k Euro i would say the op was right and if somebody listened to this guy, i bet now he's smiling about the raise of the price Smiley
I'm still holding but since 1 month the price raised quite a lot, let's see where it can go from here!
414  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you expect a crash soon ? Or you see bitcoin keep climbing ? on: October 12, 2017, 09:42:14 AM
Bitcoin is behaving in a very strange way since the start of this year. When we started the year, the price started going up and it looks like it might not come down at all. Now that it is trending over the $5,000 mark, I am not sure what will happen next. My fear is that it might be prone to manipulation by big players which might lead to it crushing.

I do agree with you, i have the same fear, price is skyrocketing and whales are closely watching; of course the hope is that BTC will steadily grow but 5k milestone is too juicy
415  Economy / Speculation / Re: $5000 is already breached on: October 12, 2017, 08:27:49 AM
that's a great milestone for sure, i'm expecting all the casual holders to start to panic sell before the drop, use your brain folks and not your emotion. Personally i would HODL and wait for the next future.
Besides that, amazing milestone BTC!
416  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How I lost 95 Bitcoin on: October 11, 2017, 11:34:37 AM
please please please, do not listen to people who claim to be "expert hackers" because they have no idea what an hacker is.. you can show your task manager and we can check if there's any fishy background process but usually are encapsulated into a "legit" .exe so is not that easy.
Feel free to send me a PM and i can give you some links about some solid tools to check if and how your pc is infected (and i can help you for free, not doing it for your bounty).
417  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hacked stories on: October 11, 2017, 11:32:22 AM
the world is ruled by machines which are supposed to do work instead of us, i've read that topic and i can feel his frustration and, as stated many times in this forum, bitcoin is not for everyone.
There is a technology behind to be understood in order to embrace BTC, secondly, i work in IT companies since 1997, the main issue with pc and technologic stuff doesn't allow ignorance.
Let me explain, if you screw your pc with virus it's just a matter losing data because you need to format your pc in the worst case, but what if the data are actually your BTC?
It might not be the nicest thing to say in this case, but for 99% of the times you get your pc infected it's a clear case of P.E.B.K.A.C (Problem Exist Between Keyboard And Chair).. machines does no mistakes, computers does what they are told to, if you give wrong commands you screw up, money or not involved.
And please, please and please again, DO NOT listen to people on the internet who claim to be "expert hacker".. these guys are 14 years old with no idea about what they are talking about (or are just scammers trying to screw you up even more).

Just a quick and free hint to everyone: if you have a windows machine, enable and keep updated windows defender. it works flawlessly now (not in the past)

P.S. do i need to mention to NOT click any "free moneyz!!1!" link around? If you really really want to click it, run your windows defender and an anti spyware/keylogger for a full disk check; remember scammers use people ignorance to screw you up.
I'm free to give advices if needed..
418  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are your plans with your Bitcoin? on: October 10, 2017, 07:49:52 AM
i will hold ad much as i can (depend on my family needs), in the meantime i'm trying to buy low and sell high in order to have some more resources to buy some more because i believe in this amazing "project"
419  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin ATM increasing at rapid rate.... update on: October 09, 2017, 08:46:55 AM
in the small country i'm living in there are a whole 20 BTC atm machines and, by the look of it (there is only one in my city) people likes it a lot, you can always find somebody using it.
Weird enough in my home country (Italy) there are only 11 and not a single one in capital city or big city like Milan
420  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A site to search all local exchanges at once. on: October 06, 2017, 12:34:26 PM

is i see none of them are online anymore, appart from localbitcoins
try https://www.megachange.is they operates the same way as localbitcoins.com does

Now that you mention this, we should have a site to send a letter to all of the companies listed here:

https://bitcoin.org/en/posts/denounce-segwit2x

telling them to stop supporting segwit2x or else you'll stop using their services forever. We need to take action and we need to it intensively and quickly. Someone should code a site that sends an email to all of these at once.

are you really promoting mail spam? I mean, do you think bitcoin.org will care about you and your "stop supporting xyz or else i'll stop using your services"? With this kind of attitude you are not gonna change anything.. for sure not with brute force/mail spam and crap like that.
