recently in an italian tv show they were talking about mafia's money laundering methods, and they noticed the new trend which is buying art (paints, statue, etc.) and bitcoin. being not regulated it's the best way to wash the dirty money, it's a volatile form of money, untraceable and secure; shame it doesn't exist in english or with subs otherwise i would like it here because it's a really interesting analysis.

we are all dreamers but sometime, we are not practical.. bitcoin will never replace currencies, it can't be regulated that's why, do you think with all the interest behind (politics, economics and so on) will let BTC get recognized worldwide? It would be amazing, but it wont happen anytime soon.

what if i have "all" my BTC in an exchanger? what will happen? if the exchanger will not support it it means i wont get any btc gold? (still don't understand why the need of a second fork)

Yes you did sadly but none can see the future so i wouldn't put much pressure on it.. i mean, if everyone would have known about BTC rise during the years everybody would have invested his own family, an arm and both kidneys. Don't cry over spilled milk and get back on the BTC train.. for sure now you are more educated about BTC than ever!

sort of agree with the previous post, every decision you take in real life is a 50/50 (and of course most of the times we take the wrong decision ) BTC is not different, it always depend how you use it, the moment you decide to invest in it, it's a gambling move (same for fiat). Every investment is gambling there is basically nothing which can give you 100% gain.. otherwise everyone would invest in it

Day trade is much profitable if you have those excellent trading skills, buy at low or at dip and sell with profit even with a little profit, if you earn atleast 5-10% per day that is good enough avoid being greedy.
gaining 5/10% per day? it always depend how much are you trading and is not possible to have such gain on a daily basis with just BTC unless you're 24/7 in front of your exchanger ready to buy/sell

well, like for many other things (religion, politic and so on) you can always show them the benefits (and the downsides too) in a polite way, if they don't like it you should not force them to love something they don't understand. Don't be a bitcoin-nazi (same as vegan-nazi ) teach them what's bitcoin and eventually they'll embrace it
think it in the opposite way: what would happen if i lose all the money i've invested in bitcoin? Doesn't worth the risk, many people lost all their money with a move like that and some of them suicided too.. don't want to sound too harsh but definitely i would advice you to invest SOME of these money in BTC as investment, keep the rest as a safety net

this will never happen, have read tons of question like this but no, an unregulated currency replacing fiat? no way, it's ok be a dreamer but come on, be real. Way too many interest behind, big company, government, banks and so on, it will never happen (at least while we're alive who knows what will happen in 150 years?)

Enjoy the profits, maybe we should immediately go to exchange to fiat money and then buy something that we want. but I will hold because next year the price will reach at least $ 8000 or 200% of the current price.
in every second topic i read sentences like this and i'm like: is this guy a magician who can see the future or it's just a believer (like most of us) hoping to gain more and more from their investment? Don't get me wrong and don't take it personally but i'm amazed how many are saying the same, it might be true but 200% of the current price in the next year? Careful with your statement or at least, to not make newbies in this world waste/lose money due to somebody else statement (id put "imho" at the end of these sentences). because right now, the price is dropping and dropping quite fast since yesterday/2 days ago

when i've learned about bitcoin it was love at first sight but i wasn't able to join the bandwagon at start because i was away from my family/pc for work and couldn't literally do anything about that, then due to busy schedule i've forgot about it.. joined back when my life went a bit more stable but it was too late as the prices were very high (no possibility of money investment). With some help with my wife we started to mine some altcoins (LTC in particular and LTBC) and we put them to kraken exchanger.. then we had to move from our homecountry and again, we forgot about our dust (as the amount of BTC/LTC were so small that didn't mattered) but couple of months ago, logged back to kraken and with our good pleasure, LTC had very high price (50$ or so) and sold them all to buy bitcoin. Now i have a small amount of money which i've invested again into BTC and this time, i wont forget about it and will keep follow this amazing "project"

i'm scared to play with altcoins because i'm not informed enough, can't really read the market fluctuation and i'm sure i would lose money. I prefer to stay safe and invest in BTC
first decide how much money you have to waste, i mean, the money you are willing to lose, study the market (and read this forum, lot of useful info) then start with altcoins (LTC/ETH), remember when you gain something to convert into BTC, rinse and repeat!
besides the value of bitcoin, the idea behind worth to be learned, as a tech freak it definitely fashinate me
bitcoin is like money, it's a currency but you can gamble with it
my goal is to sell at 15/20% of the price i've bought.. still learning alt coins, for now not confortable with these
no way, instant way to get rich only if you have bitcoins since the start, just sell some of them and you get richer.. we would be all rich if it was easy
bank and cash will never disappear, not even with bitcoin.. there are way too many politics things behind
well.. for sure we wont bitcoin, the idea will survive
i have read good hints on this forum, but the best one was: you need to think with your brain and don't follow emotions while selling/buying
