From Jareso:@bubus Update info regarding my effort of making fast Yespower 1.0 miner for Nvidia GPUs.
In recent weeks, as Yenten transition to new algorithm gets closer, I worked hard on my experimental prototype of Yespower 1.0 Nvidia GPU miner for all its N, R variants programing all sorts of optimizations to my Yespower 1.0 CUDA kernels. Several times I even rewriten my Yespower 1.0 CUDA kernels, redesigning algorithmic approach and even with all of this effort, with tons of time and optimization work I spend on it, the fastest where it managed to reach is 550 H/s (550 hashes) on one single 1080 Ti at Yespower 1.0 N 2048, R 32. Similar for N 4096, R 16. It's waaaaaay tooooo slooooow.
So, I can basically say that if Yenten wants to be CPU dominant coin than Yespower 1.0 is indeed a great choice to stick to!
It's very unlikely that GPUs will be able to overtake Yespower 1.0. Optimization techniques, tricks and CUDA speed-ups that work great for Yescrypt and other mining algorithms are basically useless for Yespower 1.0.
Despise being skeptical now for fast Yespower 1.0 on GPU, I still have more ideas in my mind about more approaches how to proceed to Yespower 1.0 on GPU which I haven’t tried so far. Of course, as I said the last time, it is always very hard to predict hashrate of certain algorithm and various optimizations in advance – without actually implementing and running them. Those will again require tons of programing effort and time with questionable outcome, but anyway, I actually like things like that. When things don’t go as I expected, it gives me more strength to the challenge to find some way how I will finally twist neck of that Yespower 1.0 on GPU, one way or another. :grimacing:
But to be objective, the outcome is that Yespower 1.0 seems to be so bullet-proof algorithm that probably not even in years from now it will be dominated by GPUs, not even by the highest-end future GPUs.
We express our gratitude for the great work!!! yes this is incredibly valuable work. our community has risen to the occassion over the last year to right the ship and set Yenten up for a successful future. in the beginning, i had my doubts whether development would progress without conan revealing himself. now, i understand that there are many talented community members who are willing to contribute time and effort deapite seeing zero compensation in official dev fees. although we had already achieved community consensus, Jareso’s work goes a long way to solidify my support for the algo change.

we are now 16 months in. Here’s where we’re at:
- We now have EIGHTEEN mining pools. wow. - We are seeing buy spikes in price ever since the coinmarketcap listing was updated - Our Discord channel is still the community's HQ - The Graviex exchange works very, very well. I do all my accumulating on Graviex, can anyone speak for CREX24? - We are staying ahead of GPUs by changing algos this year. Thank you to our active dev bubus. I think he's russian? the russians also run the Graviex exchange and I'm not sure if this is related. Russians seem to be taking up the development of small coins right now and I believe that development and stewardship of once-forgotten coins will build the foundation for the next crypto bull run. so. . . thank you bubus!

okay i'll bite.
i got on graviex to trade yenten.
but i was very interested in investing in an exchange coin earlier this year, and now i see that binance coin is pumping but i'd like to accumulate a smaller market cap exchange coin.
so i'll throw some into gio.

How is everyone feeling as we enter this bull market??
Has everyone accumulated enough YTN?
Is anyone concerned about MU9? I think he must have several million YTN by now, right?

Great to see this coin's comeback... let’s get the old gang back together

Price dropped but network hash remains constant and just increased too. Virtually every other coin’s hashrate rises and falls with price but yenten’s hashrate is inelastic. 30 days in: 7 pools, one of which was already hacked and another crashed, 60+ discord users ( https://discord.gg/MW6aPzb), new users can still SOLO mine effectively with their office PC, and nodes are popping up all over the globe. I don’t think yenten is going anywhere. we are now 60 days in. Here’s where we’re at: - We now have TEN pools. wow. - We hit a high price of 1,800 sat last month - The discord channel is active and growing - We were added to CoinMarketCap - We were added to Delta Portfolio App - You can still mine this with your desktop PC - it was proposed that the smallest unit of measurement for yenten should be called the "conan" - buy orders are building again on our super duper high quality exchanges. Happy New Years We are now 105 days in and oh how far we've come: - We have TWENTY pools in operation. - We are on 4 exchanges - BTC trends are in accumulation mode while YTN is at its lowest price since the ATH of $1.33 - We have over 500 users in our discord channel! I'm not really sure what to say, other than congratulations. The Japanese and Russian teams are growing and interest is spreading. We are a no-brainer for new exchanges: we have a strong community, our POW coin is easily adopted for exchanges, and we are not dying anytime soon. Also, with the advancements of interoperability and cross-chain collaboration, it is becoming clear that niche coins like YENTEN are not disappearing but are being worked into the future of blockchain infrastructure. EOS, Cardano, the interoperability alliance, LINK. . . all these networks are creating technology that will allow YENTEN to coexist as a tokenized asset on each blockchain, or allow YENTEN to be atomic swapped.

In the past I didn’t think we needed a different exchange, but I’m reconsidering that position after this coinsmarkets fiasco. On the other hand. . . paying for a listing!? It seems as bad as ASICs. no one forces you to donate. who pities the coins - he always comes up with a reason not to donate it's just a warning. so that later did not say that they did not warn you The Russians will do everything themselves, as always lol okay i'll bite. how much do we still need for a new listing? Also, how long does the lowest yobit listing take to be added? 6 months?
|
|
|
Yeah. . . I would buy but I need a few positive reviews.
Also, I would take a chance on a $6 or $10 credit so maybe start with those?

Mining with AWS results in something like $.10 per coin and those credits are becoming scarce, so I think I'm stopping mining and will buy for cheaper when it hits an exchange.

Okay guys, this is a call to action. Let’s blow this video up: https://youtu.be/42YmJ5E_5esView, comment, and share. The true Yenten spirit is strong with this one.

Where can I find the compiled Windows Wallet please
there is a windows gui guide further up. Guys, this coin has a very active community on askmona. consider mining a bit.

big miners are killing this coin
You guys don't see what's going on. Yenten will prevail.

These are active pools that written at official website koto.cash. but pools have a payout problem, and being restored now. I use cpuminer-opt and it seems to work. I'm glad kotopool.work fixed their remittance issue. I believe I am fully paid.

Almost 4 hours ago i just withdraw 580YTN from YentenCore to stockexchange and still my balance is in 0, its my first time using this exchanger and this is a insane await, nothing usually like on anothers exchangers like hitbtc, bittrex, etc.
I'm scared, changelly stolen me 40 Aeon like 10 months ago (when i was a newbie novice, using changelly for exchange), and im afraid this time with stockexchange, dont want the same to happen again....
im optimistic that stocks.exchange and coinsmarkets will come through. eventually. some of us think there’s a chance that stocks.exchange is stalling on deposits, creating artificially high pricing.

I don't think they actually closed. I believe it will reopen. It takes time for servers to move.
Yes. i still have hope for coinsmarkets. There is definitely activity on that site, and so I doubt they ran with everything.

The block reward for Koto increases over the first month.
So it is increasing by 3.3 coins every day.
And it will reach its full reward, 100 koto, very soon on January 13th.
