1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Be careful with scam copycats of YFI on: August 31, 2020, 01:35:13 PM
The wild appearance of YFI and how unnature it got to such a high price already put a lot of investor and trader at lost. Now, those YFI copycats come like a wildfire and I already saw a number of people fall for FOMO of them. This YFI coin really brings out a lot of trouble with it and I'm sure the YFI and its copycats are going to be dump soon.
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: All hope is lost?? on: August 17, 2020, 01:51:56 PM
The price of ETH has increased many times compared to before. And if you still hold 4 ETH then I believe you now have nearly $ 2000 from it, and you can reinvest with this money. If you invest carefully and scientifically, I believe you will quickly get back profits in 6 months
Yes, $430 x 4 ETH = $1720 to be precise. If he still got hold on the last 4 ETH, he is at least got half of what 14 ETH was worth back in May (~$3000, I think). This is what crypto about and everyone should never give up hope because the chance you can earn back your loss is there.
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Now is the best time on: August 06, 2020, 06:10:46 PM
Release a new project around a hard time where everyone tries the best way as they can to make some money? I don't think that is a good idea, to be honest. Not many investors have carefree thinking and more investors with a picky attitude about their investment. Introduce a new project around this time doesn't yield a good result. I think any new project should be on low profile and waiting for everything back to order before making an announcement for their project.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Could this be the best time to invest? on: August 02, 2020, 07:37:36 PM
Never too late to invest in an altcoin when you saw the price was gradually raising. Tho, you need to plan your entry point and exit point if somehow, it has a weird move and falling down.
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are Altcoins getting Boycotted? on: August 02, 2020, 07:24:06 PM
I think people are not easily trusting like before as not many new altcoin projects good enough. Old altcoin projects already have a hard time keeping their investors to believe in them. So a market like that, Bitcoin dominance is not unexpected.
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why do people still fall victim to obvious scam? on: August 01, 2020, 07:42:16 PM
I think there is only one reason for this: greed.

People are greedy and most of the times they know there is a scam but they hope they can get out before it falls down. Mostly they couldn't.
Yeah, most victim of a scam is 10% of naive idiots while 90% of greedy pigs who thinks they could pull out and make a sizeable profit. Heck, most scams just exploit the greed of people to work so I don't have any empathy for the victim of obvious scams.
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you agree with the experts? on: August 01, 2020, 07:37:53 PM
I don't agree with any self-proclaim cryptocurrency expert. Only follow a few high reputation crypto predictions expect but they always have said their predictions should be taken with a grain of salt. Everyone can see the covid making every sector looking bleak so you don't need cryptocurrency experts for a simple remark.
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How much you earn in bounty hunting for the year 2019-2020 on: August 01, 2020, 04:08:24 PM
Bounty hunting still works and earn a couple of dollars for each bounty project, the rate would be higher if you have a better rank for the signature campaign. Tho there are no ICO projects like it use to be so no bounty for them. Mine highest paid in this year would be $200 for 1 month in the signature campaign. Nowadays, there is a group call Bounty Detective that has been employed in serval bounty projects.
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bounty thread with self moderated lock on: August 01, 2020, 03:56:29 PM
Self moderated threads are 80% scam or having something to hide, it's an tend to cheat or avoid comments from people that are a a bit curious about the new project, stay away for your own good or get scammed and cheated in the end
That's a too harsh view, man. There is always scam lurking or operating right now in bitcointalk and nothing we could do about it until the unveil their trick and got call out. Like any thread could be possible made by them, not just self moderated thread alone. 80% scam from self moderated is a long stretch.
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does Name really matter in crypto? on: July 31, 2020, 05:21:26 PM
The name is more important than you think. No matter how good your project is, the best and hardworking members it is, the first thing people remember is your project name. It carries a message of how the coin want to be. Although name alone won't make your project become a success, it still very important.
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Some priceless tokens. on: July 31, 2020, 05:18:25 PM
Unless they're holding sort of private sale, I don't see any benefit from withhold a token from listing on exchanges. If they are already distributed token then why they don't try to list on exchanges is beyond me. How did you get those pricelesstoken? From bounty or from their sale?
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Who said that ICOs are dead? on: July 23, 2020, 06:51:36 PM
Is this what you're talking about not dead? Cause I feel it as the same thing as back then. Unknown, unheard project boasts about they raised huge amounts of investment and people would FOMO without any research. Look as how many posters in this thread and you will see.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New projects and their unreal excuses on: July 19, 2020, 08:33:51 PM
With the second wave looming as people don't take social distancing and lockdown seriously, do you think the same excuse will resurface? No, these unreal excuses as you said are very much real and if it was hard for them to keep in contact or meeting to work on projects, they have every right to said so.
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: People still falls for Bitcoin doubling scheme and fake giveaways on: July 19, 2020, 08:05:15 PM
Honestly people aren't learning anything, I am so disappointed in the way people think nowadays, believing they can actually double their bitcoin, as a newbie, the moment I saw the giveaway on binance official Twitter account I knew it was a hack

In this case, Binance and other well-known Twitter accounts had a lot of authority, which allowed scammers to convince newcomers of the reality of doubling the balance. In addition, these newcomers do not understand how the cryptocurrency market works. Otherwise, they would understand that there is no such way to double your balance in 1 day.
Now you said it. There was really someone who really didn't understand how Bitcoin or crypto work but did think you can x2 balance in a short amount of time? If there is then I really want to know how they able to get hold of some Bitcoin.
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The best time to fill the bag? on: July 19, 2020, 07:34:29 PM
March 2020 was a month of opportunity for those who aren't scared of the bear market that took over crypto space at the time, pandemic was the reason and all those who took a giant steps and buy many top altcoins and Bitcoin at cheaper price already made their ROI after Bitcoin recovers
Not just cryptocurrency but with stock market too. Although some stock hasn't recover yet but if you brought stock or cryptocurrency around that hard dip, well you're already set!
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How Altcoins Failed To Win Over Bitcoin on: July 18, 2020, 07:57:20 PM
I think you can read all replies on this thread so far to see most people would agree Bitcoin is something you can't win over. There is no shy in admitting that for altcoins and accept to co-exist with Bitcoin. Heck, if your altcoin was able to trail behind Bitcoin in top CMC already a feat.
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Bounties managed by team themselves on: July 18, 2020, 07:42:31 PM
To be honest, bounty managers are not some kind of god that you should completely trust them just because they ain't from the team. Maybe only the good and trusted bounty managers could really make sure your profit but I don't put the very well-know bounty managers on the same level of bounty project managed by the team themselves.
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is ICO WhitePaper Matter Most? on: July 17, 2020, 05:59:39 PM
Gone are the days when project Whitepapers meant much or decided if investors invested in a project. These days, a lot of projects have nothing to offer other than properly packaged Whitepapers with absolutely nothing to back up their projects. No products or clear definitions of their goals and objectives. Worst still is, most of these Whitepapers are rewritten from old projects with some tweaking just to entice unsuspecting investors to invest in their projects.
After all the white paper plagiarism so of course, investors don't pay attention toward project's white paper anymore. All thanks to the dark age of ICO scam. Tho, I still think it's a must for a good project to caught investor's interest.
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Alt coins worth buying on: July 17, 2020, 05:55:40 PM
I've been reading through this forums for the past few weeks and all I see is "this coin is dead" or "everything is a shit coin". Is there any alt coin with potential to invest in or is it only bitcoin?
Any altcoin among the top 10 is worth to be a long term investment. It's up to your personal liking to decide which it suits your taste in cryptocurrency (aim, inovation, technology behind it,...).
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Beware of fake gold backed tokens on: July 16, 2020, 01:46:46 PM
Gold-backed tokens are the most stupid scam that I've ever seen. I wouldn't trust the bank and their fiat backed by gold reserve then why would I trust the same thing but not even fiat but freshly made token? At least fiat have a government's backing also so you still have time to trade for some value before it crashed.
