1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does staking even make any sense on: July 04, 2022, 06:56:31 PM
Staking can make lots of sense when the aim is to stake for a long period of time. Staking is the same thing like holding your coins but with interest and we have different types of staking depending on what we really interested in. There are staking for a year and there's are ones for 6 months, 3 months, amd one month depending on what we care about. I prefer staking my coins now that the market is down with better APR.
Staking is definitely better than holding long term and letting the investment did nothing, after all if it's waiting for the coin having value increase, staking could definitely helps make gain a little in term of the investment.
So basically it depends, if the investment is gonna be for long term holding, staking definitely makes a lot sense since it's just waiting.
But then you have to take into account that staking also carries risks. Sites you let it stake can get to problems over long term of staking. They might be too stupid and invest in a failed project and can not pay back your promise staking reward.
2  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Traders Stop Being Greedy. on: July 04, 2022, 05:36:26 PM
Greed seems bad in everyone's view but you can't deny that thanks to greed, people are more likely to hold and push the price higher. You've to understand now all greed is bad since crypto has some form of greed in itself, attract investors thank to the 'get rich quick' scheme and exposing it to the mass public and social media.
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will LUNA's downfall scare away investors from the crypto market? on: July 04, 2022, 04:17:26 PM
LUNA scares away and triggers a sense of fear in every investor I know. That once a crypto crash, there is no point of return and you could lose 99% of its worth in less than a few weak. This led to a massive sellout and forced the site with 'swap, earn, borrow and send' model becomes risky. Many of them have already halted and freeze withdraw cite to the market uncertain.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bear markets are a time for building, development and research on: July 03, 2022, 07:27:11 PM
In my opinion when the market drops we should focus on bitcoin, top projects, projects that already have products and utilities.
Meme projects are just tools for hype, and this usually only happens during the bull season, a bear market is not a good place for it to thrive. Because we can't tell when the sale ends so buying the meme now is like gambling. the price of this token does not fluctuate too much because its trading volume is small and is of interest to many people.
Meme projects are there because it is easier to work on them via social media. Like when you create a legit project, the marketing of it requires a lot of work, and you never know which one will really work. But when we are talking about a project that is based on crypto, then it would not be really working well for us and the money would be gone.

This is why they create meme projects which they could use for a long time and would not have any problems at all. I know that it's not going to be easy, and there will be trouble regarding this issue, but memecoins are marketable and that is why they do it, it's so easy to just go out there and get yourself heard with it.
I don't know meme crypto that solely exist thanks to marketing and social media's hype is a good thing. It sounds like an empty fart, pardon me. It just... so wrong again crypto that usually have the strong focus on feature, innovation and use case.
5  Economy / Economics / Re: if you think 18k btc is low wait until autumn ... on: July 03, 2022, 07:02:04 PM
Today the price of Bitcoin drops again to around $ 19K, in my opinion this is a good four, I have a target to continue to buy as long as I think is low, of course the opportunity to buy at a low price is difficult to happen again when market rising.
We do not really need to fear this one fall because to be fair to it, we didn't really had any problems in the fundamental sense, it was just one whale that sold a ton of bitcoin. It was a huge amount, like half a billion dollars worth, and when the volume is low, and you take out half a billion dollars, then you end up facing a bit of a fall. Believe me, when the prices return to normal and the volume is high, all of these would be normal.

Plus, if someone ends up buying half a billion dollars today, we would go back up right away like nothing happened. This is why it is not a fundamental reason and it is a simple drop that would be recovering anytime now.
You need more volume to push the price back up while it doesn't take as much to push it down tho. As long as the market is bearish like this, most investors stay their hand and don't put all their money into the buy order since DCA is a thing. That's why I think it will dips then recover but then dip further since every dip, investors try to DCA in but it will not enough.
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: What can be done in this situation? on: July 03, 2022, 05:49:36 PM
The first sign of red flag for a fail signature campaign: the bounty manager is inactive. If you sight them, better left it and stop wasting your time on it anymore. Too much risk for doing all the work and receiving nothing in the end.
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which alt-coin do you trust the most? on: July 02, 2022, 08:31:20 PM
Litecoin Grin
I know, it sounds like an unpopular opinion but I remember every time when BTC and cryptocurrency approached ATH or in their bull run, transactions stuck with a very high fee. Moving your asset from one exchange to another or depositing it from your wallet to your exchange wallet took a lot of time. Only Litecoin work and show it was reliable at that time and I really like it.
8  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Did Bitcoin Disappointed You ? on: July 02, 2022, 08:09:45 PM
To be honest, I never expect Bitcoin to have that bull run up so well, even manage to hit at $60k. So for me, I'm not really feeling disappointed with Bitcoin at all. Or maybe since I missed the chance, selling my 0.8 BTC @$4k which now makes me want Bitcoin's price to come lower.
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Next ALT season year ? on: July 02, 2022, 07:01:01 PM
You should got answer from btc price because If the price of btc does not increase, the bull market cannot be considered. If btc continues to bravkdown its ath then bull market is not possible for this year. Because btc doesn't follow me and your point because we are small investors so all this will depend on big investors.
Yes, BTC is the main indication to see if there was an upcoming bull run or not. From what I saw right now, BTC is still in turmoil, sideway with overall trend seems to go down more like up. Sure, there will be a next bull run but I doubt it will be in anytime soon at least for this year.
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Be careful buying alts right now on: July 01, 2022, 07:09:26 PM
Buying Altcoin and Bitcoin certainly has the opportunity to lose, this has happened since Bitcoin is present at Exchange, there is always an opportunity to lose money, especially since the current market conditions are increasingly difficult and the number of scam projects that add to the image of cryptocurrencies is getting worse.
I doubt there is more alts scam when the market is being like this. I mean you have to realize there are now new flow of money and investors. No enough to keep the old alts running hence price keep going down across all coins.
11  Economy / Economics / Re: Should we embrace a cashless policy?? on: June 27, 2022, 06:32:04 PM
I think the thing that can make Cryptocurrencies users not afraid of investment is a clear policy, in my opinion without a clear policy will make users always worried and confused, especially the latest cases namely Luna, this can happen and repeat without being able to be controlled.
So don't invest in stablecoin peg by the vague value of alts, easy. A cashless policy doesn't mean you have to use crypto or stable coin in the crypto network. A digital dollar with the real backing from the US banks is the best thing that could possibly.
12  Economy / Economics / Re: Solar panels set to be mandatory on all new buildings under EU plan on: June 27, 2022, 05:29:23 PM
You guys are missing the bigger picture. Solar panels have the variable cause the dependent on the sun lit in its way to provide power. This makes it become tricky to make it an energy source for stable 24/7/365 day, all season in EU country. The movement or green deal behind it quite not close to what it stood since waste from the battery, from the used panels, from maintaining upkeep doesn't worth what it can give back. I rather have EU haste its plan to renew and build the new nuclear plants.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Good for future hold? on: June 27, 2022, 03:41:20 PM
As I have said before, it is difficult to trust some altcoins, but I think that the best option to keep and be clear about is BTC because it is the only asset or currency that is worth it, in which case I think the other good option Be it ETH, ETH is considered the second best currency, in other tokens it is different, because the other tokens depend on the movements in the market made by the owners of the project and what they particularly do is try to find investors so that they can sponsor their project and this is something difficult to find, in 2017 it was very difficult and yet some strong communities were built, now the process is stronger.

Of course, ETH is considered the second-best currency right now. Because it actually has a group of active developers instead of BTC which is forever stagnant. Moreover, ETH has the upcoming PoS rollout which might be the biggest update yet in the crypto currency. I said ETH is at the best for long term hold in the future right now.
14  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ignore the dip and Invest in Bitcoin for long term on: June 26, 2022, 08:44:51 PM
What you are doing is a good strategy because you can take advantage of the market's situation and conditions to benefit you. Not many people can be as patient as you in waiting for the market to go back up because they can panic and sell it as quickly as possible. But be careful if you want to buy altcoins because the price of altcoins can drop deeper and make you have to hold on to the altcoin for a long time. But for altcoins that have the potential to go up high, it can still be recommended but still be careful because we don't know what will happen in the future.
Long term of not, ignoring the dip and market signal as a whole doesn't seem like a good strategy to me. Sure we all know how Bitcoin is for the long term and eventually climb back and hit a new ATH. Though, looking for the best possible price both in the short and long term to reduce the risk is more sensible.
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Your opinion, NFT last long or not ? on: June 26, 2022, 07:57:57 PM
NFTs are definitely not something you should be considered as long term investments. It will not last long and the cycle life of NFT is very short. This applied to the majority of new NFTs in the market right now.
16  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: 📝[Discussion topic] Overview of Bitcointalk Signature-Ad Campaigns📝 on: June 26, 2022, 06:54:26 PM
I otherwise think bonuses for most merited participants would be an interesting dynamic, rather than those who max out the campaign getting paid the most, in order to encourage quality of posting not just quantity.
Relying on most merited alone can get boring and sometimes unfair.

That's not what I was suggesting. I was suggesting a bonus for most merited participants. This could be a user who only posted 10-20 times in a week, and even with a bonus would be rewarded less than a participant who made 50 posts per week. So it wouldn't be relying on most merited to be rewarded the most what so ever, it would be equally rewarding quality not just quantity.
This seems like a good idea, promo participants to focus on the quality instead of quantity, just to meet the quota. But this also makes it unfair since if the participant has a better merit circle, where he knows most of the people, he can easily get merited for some simple posts. We all know how the merit works in bitcointalk, it doesn't mean the absolute quality gets merited but also has other factors in. A guy talks on his local board, with some of his local friends, where both enjoy the contents of the others, and exchange merited to each other. This doesn't mean they are abusing the merit system. Because it stayed true to the spirit 'your post is worthy in my view so it can receive a token of goodwill'. So I think merit should be counted as a bonus only, not precedence the quote or posts per week.
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stake platforms for BNB on: June 25, 2022, 07:09:59 PM
Hi guys,

Does anyone know any stake platforms for staking BNB? I'm waiting for bnb final drop them I will buy some and hold it for a few years or until the uptrend cycle is reached. So looking for stake platforms to stake bnb to earn some passive income. Thanks

There are many exchanges and platforms that support staking for BNB, but I would recommend going straight to the binance exchange. As BNB is a product of Binance and there is no better and safer place for you to store and stake your BNB. The APY levels may vary a little between platforms but overall not much, in my opinion.
Maybe he just looking for an alternative since there was a decentralized factor to take into account. You know, instead of holding all of your BNB in one exchange to stake, he just wants to diversify it to lower the risk in case an exchange got outage or something similar. Binance is the home of BNB but it's better safe than sorry. In case Binance wants to do something with BNB like intentionally FUD it to buy back it for a cheap price.
18  Economy / Services / Re: [open] Restart of 1xBit signature campaign - new signatures and more spots! on: June 25, 2022, 05:25:30 PM
Despite many reputable bitcointalk users giving out the negative trust for bounty hunters in 1xBit signature campaign which is known as a scam. 1xBit can still adverting their scam practice in bitcointalk. Have we come to a new low that scammers can shill their site as long as they can hire bounty hunters to shill for them?
19  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Overview of Bitcointalk Signature-Ad Campaigns [Last update: 11-June-22] on: June 25, 2022, 03:21:24 PM

To add, owl.games signature ad campaign has also come to an end after it 23rd week payment was sent out to participants, though the Manager put the campaign status as PAUSED, and also said the owl team decided to pause the campaign, But then, he went further to say he's not sure if the campaign will return in the near future.
So for me, I think the campaign is ended, whether or not, it will return in the future is unknown, so I think it should be included in the list of ended campaigns.
I think I may know the reason why Owl.game wouldn't open any new sign campaign in the future. If you hanging around Sujonali telegram (the manager of Owl.game campaign) then you should be able to know. Owl.game complaint that there are too many cheaters logging into their website with the same IP address and browser agent. So yeah, they likely won't open any new campaign in the future.
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will the market rise in June on: June 24, 2022, 06:20:08 PM
We're now nearly at the end of June and the market still going nowhere, even worse than last month May. Slow market moments, depression fall like this scare away any new investor or flow of money. Basically, we're now fighting for scrap under high risk market. Back to accumulate and long term hold, I guess.
