It is not lazar engraved. It is one piece of wood in the middle where you see the grain then on both sides are separate strips or wood. The B is cut out of Cherry wood and inlaid. Then it has a the cherry wood strips surrounding the board and that is surrounded by the Maple wood strips.

Thanks. It would of been a lot cheaper if he just added the B to a cutting board, but the cutting board was made from scratch. The time involved just with making the cutting board itself justifies the price in my eyes. Of course not everyone will agree with me, but thats cool.

I don't know if it was actually carved. More like cut and put together from a couple of pieces of wood.
