i still think maxx token from you guys have better potential .. may be later you dump this one also for your profit ??

The "profit" from the MXX tokens were negligible at best. If you look at what price the dev sold his holdings at, it was barely enough to cover the gas fees for this current airdrop. He did that when he announced a move to CSL tokens, so it wasn't so much as a dump as it was an opportunity to swap for a bigger yield at a lower cost.

I have never used a paper wallet before. When we transfer our coins to the address printed on the paper wallet they are stored on that address offline and safe.
But if I want to access this wallet and transfer those coins to an exchange, how do I do that?

I have the same question !

via the app using QR code or manually typing in the keys to transfer your funds.

Looks pretty decent. The price is low enough for easy entry and the social media network attached to the coin is promising. Will take a closer look, but this one seems to be the best out of all the ERC20 tokens coming out. They have a working product, but the only thing they really need is exposure. Glad the supply was drastically lowered. Gives such a huge incentive to invest.

Once again, I congratulate the company! Wink You were able to reach the hard cap so quickly.
I'm waiting for November 1st. Soon mobile cryptocurrency will be available!

What was the hard cap and how quickly were all tokens sold out?

The hard cap was 40M or 6.3B tokens sold. We hit the 40M mark due to price changes in BTC and ETH. We hit the market cap 2 weeks before the end of the ICO or 1 month after the launch of the ICO. What surprises me is that they only expected around 10,000 people to contribute. They managed to get 120,000 people to contribute, plus another 180,000 who signed up to check out Electroneum. By far the biggest ICO in terms of participants.

I have a few questions I hope you guys can help me out with these.

1. How many tokens were sold during the ICO?
Whitepaper says there are total of 6.3 Billion tokens.

2. Is it possible to mine coins with iphone right now or after 1 november?

3. How many electroneum can there be total mined?

4. Why would you mine tokens when there was already an ICO to distribute them?

If you read the whitepaper, literally everything is there.

1. 4.4B were sold during the ICO. The leftovers from the ico are being pooled for the mobile miners to encourage growth.

2. It's impossible right now. ETN needs to be listed on an exchange before Apple allows the ETN app be put into their store.

3. 21B TOTAL supply. There is going to be an extra 15B that is going to be mined after the leftovers from the ICO are gone.

4. Wait what? Why would you mine? Mining ensures that transactions between consumers are confirmed. It generates ETN to the user who helps with the blockchain. You mine for more ETN...

Thanks, I was confused because it said "token" somewhere but it's a coin so I understand.

The way ETN uses the term, they're pretty interchangeable. Token just seems less obnoxious IMO than coin sale. But in this regards, it doesn't mean ERC20 token or the likes. I know it confused quite a few people I talked to.

This coin is a major scam! Asking people for 1 ether is bad.

I'm a bit skeptical too, especially with all the scam coins out. However, I got into the airdrop and so did many others. The 1 ether is meant as a donation if people wanted to support the project. You can buy it much cheaper on the exchanges. Considering the price he's asking for in the donation and only getting like 500 BLUE, there's a decline of how much he's offering out. In the beginning, I think he sold 147,000 BLUE for 1 ether, so those who bought into it for that much made profit so far. I'm still skeptical, but I threw a little bit into it just in the off chance.

Why did harry redknap deleted his tweet? Hmm Huh
Anyone have the archive of his deleted tweet?

Most likely never existed but was fake as so many things in this ICO.  Gathering $40 million to make a coin fork and plan to make a mobile wallet is totally insane.   I do not understand where you guys got this money you have that you are giving it so easily to people that have no ideas what they are doing or exactly know that they scam you.    Why on earth you dont invest in legit projects with solid developed that pushes borders of concurrency further? Why?

It did exist as I read the comment under it to see so many hate comments by his followers. The $40M I saw came from the hype that surrounded it. I joined into the ICO when there was only about $4M raised and as I watched it steadily grow in users/funds, it skyrocketed passed what I expected it to. I like the idea of mass adoption. We don't have that in cryptocurrency. Only a handful of people use Litecoin. Only a handful of people use every other currency. The tech behind ETN isn't that great, but what is great is the potential of getting people into cryptocurrency. I went into this ICO with the idea of mass adoption, not some ground breaking tech that's going to disrupt the crypto world. As far as I know, the tech is stable, that app is functional, the blockchain is ready to launch, and everything seems straight and narrow.

i bought in, but they remind me of those fake plastic fake coins u used to have which u played with in kindergarten... someone on youtube said 1 cent is way overpriced. I think he could be right. Or is really. But i hope im wrong.

On the same boat as you. Bought in to ETN, but I dont see how people can throw around values like $1/coin. Even after 1 year that would be very very optimistic. Obviously I would love to see it happen, but to me that is a very naive thinking. Firstly, a lot of people who bought on discount will dump, secondly since it will be easy to mine the incentive for buying would be lower. Hope I am proved wrong.

No chance of it hitting $1 anytime soon. I think people just do not understand how many coins are in circulation and just comparing it directly with bitcoin or something.

Is this an ETH token or its own thing? I see mobile mining and then I see this will use the cryptonote algo.

It's its own thing. It's a fork of Monero, to keep transactions private. They have their own blockchain. Mobile "mining" is just a term used by them to market towards people who don't know much about cryptocurrency. For the most part, people only really know about Bitcoin and that there's mining involved, whatever that means to them. It's just a simulation where coins are airdropped to the user based on the hashing power of the CPU on their phone. However, the desktop miner is full fledged and will use your CPU to mine, as oppose to a GPU miner or an ASICS miner. This will prevent whales and larger entities to farm ETN, well discourage them.

And an issue that started this whole trains was a guy who sold 100,000 ECASH for .1 ETH. That crashed the market almost single handed.

I don't know why people are complaining that the airdrop is a scam. I managed to get #1 on this round without much effort. Some times people get unlucky. Sometimes you refresh the page on the "unavailable" screen without copy and pasting the URL again. The telegram community was so cancerous after the airdrop.

25% of 15 million coins is 3.75m coins. So 100 people, thats 37.5k coins each?

where did u learn how to calculate dude
hahaha all airdrop are over and i believe the next thing will be the partnership with copico and that where am heading to buy in their ico

LOL coinmarketcap says 15M coins. Front page says 25%. i used calc.exe dude.  Grin

CMM states the TOTAL supply, not circulating supply. Each person who will be receiving the 4th airdrop is getting 200 tokens.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETN Electroneum whats your price prediction for Dec 2017? on: October 17, 2017, 04:01:14 AM
With so many fund invested i doubt it will goes up fast.. it will dump at first time it hit exchanger. A lot of product with good road map, concept and get a lot of fund getting dump
Especially if the ico gives too many bonuses. I my self never invest to ico with too many bonuses. But what i know electroneum did not gives much bonuses only 11% right ? Will tro some money on it and we will see what electronum can do in december.

They gave out quite a number of bonuses. It scaled down weekly from Sept 14th at 50% bonus down to 0% by Oct 31st. The referral bonus is 5% and the person that was referred receives an additional 1%.

The next airdrop (round 4) is coming on Oct. 17th at 19:00 GMT

100 applicants, 200 tokens each

I think

I mean, they are airdropping the coins in circulation right now, so since no one really paid upfront, I can't say it's a scam. It only sucks if it becomes a scam and  the investors who trade on EtherDelta lose out on some initial investments.

I wonder what the average user has invested in this, like the people who aren't into cryptocurrency. Most people I know, and many people I have seen online have 500k-2m ETN. With the averages of the number of participants and the total number of ETN distributed, that equals to about 19,000 ETN per person. With that huge discrepancy, I'm kind of excited to see what people think. I'm assuming not everyone who registered for an account has participated in this ICO, but it's just fun to speculate.
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] ⚡ Electroneum ⚡ Token Sale Sept 14th Mobile Mining Crypto Coin on: October 15, 2017, 06:15:48 AM
This concept certainly sounds appealing simply because of the sheer number of smartphones out there...2.2BLN! My concern, though, revolves more around the security aspect of this mobile-centric mining platform. Considering how much unfettered data access we give to so many apps on our phones, smartphones, unlike PCs, are inherently insecure. Will this leave our most important devices vulnerable to hacks?

They're implementing 2FA security to both phones and PC once the ICO is over. If you're worried about people hacking your phone because of an app, than I really don't know how to respond. I don't know the frequency or have heard of anyone hacking a smartphone for nefarious reasons, but I could be wrong.

Hey, is that Redknapp? really?

Yes, yes it is. Whether it be for the better or for worse, publicity is publicity. I have never participated in an ICO before this because of the multiple scams and uncertainty, but I am on board with this project. Cheers to the future!
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How much willl you invest in Electroneum? on: October 14, 2017, 09:19:51 AM
Invested 0.5 ETH there , lets hope for the best!

I hope it will surpass bitcoin very soon.

Wait, what? there's a next to 0% chance that ETN will pass Bitcoin in market cap.

I invested 2 ETH and .04 BTC. A small sum, but with all ICOs comes with a risk. I'm not expecting this to soar from $.01 to $5700. A conservative guess is $.1 - $.2 by December. Hoping for the best, but it's all up to the launch and what people are willing to pay in the exchange.

I don't want to post negative comments but I have a question

When I first read about Electroneum I followed some blogs and forums and eventually found a chat where someone said that the mobile mining is not actually mining (adding blocks to the network etc) because real mobile mining would be way to intense on a mobile phone, draining your battery real quick. It's more like a simulation making it look like you are actually mining. Also a mobile processor is so weak it would take such a long time to actually mine something. Charging your phone might be more expensive compared to the energy your phone uses to mine a coin. I found some reviews including this one that also says the mining thing "might" not actually be mining and that this was just a way to gain massive attention for the ICO  . https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yHPPt0LKFH8

can anyone prove me wrong?
please know that I am investing a little into it because I believe focusing on easy to use wallets will be important for future cryptos

It's been stated numerous times that it's not actually mining. It's just going to analyze your processing power of your phone and then airdrop you coins every so often. It's in the FAQs section and have been answered a ton of times. It's meant for viral marketing and to encourage users to join. It uses as much power and data as loading a Wikipedia page. Yes, the main component and appeal of Electroneum is ease of use and the gateway for cryptos for beginners. It's not targeted towards the technically inclined. Mass adoption on a coin with general user appeal is very important, so I'm glad that they're doing it this way. If it's easy to use and can generate crypto, it will create hype and more people will join. Based on their website and beta app so far, I can see this going pretty well. The UI is as clean as it gets and understanding it is what's going to attract people. Whether it be a few ETN here and there or hundreds (based on ICO leftovers), people who want to get into cryptocurrency will have a chance. They won't have to go through a daunting task of sending information to an exchange. They won't have to abide by so many numbers and private keys. They don't have to pay the exuberant fees that Coinbase charges for their ease of use and beginner friendly site. The transactions that are done through the ETN blockchain will require no fees, so the ETN they earn from using the app will be theirs. P2P Transactions is standard with apps such as PayPal, Venmo, Square, Google Wallet, etc., but with the fees and banking that follows, ETN eliminates all of that. No bank is needed and that is why it's targeted towards those  without banks. Imagine the third-world countries where not a lot of people use the banking systems there. They can earn, trade, and sell their ETN for tangible goods. They can make transactions 24/7 a day without the need for fiat currency. The potential in this endeavor is astronomical. If they pull off the marketing aspect, which I'm confident they will, and get the app to hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of people, the growth and value of each coin will be insane.
