Sorry about the captcha, I have run a few forums before and what happens is if you lax up on captchas, when you start to get a bit of noteablilty a spammer will set a program to make 500 accounts and make them post spam all at once.

I'm not seeing how it's any more active. As far as I can see most of the posts are by one user, with the Agent Smith avatar.

Over 50 members, and almost 150 posts, thanks to everybody for posting, and keep posting!

Lets face it, the altcoin section of bitcointalk is a mess. It's a jumble of posts about 25 different coins, not to mention all of the new coin announcements. I decided to take matters into my own hands. I started a forum dedicated to altcoins, each with their own board.  It's over at altcoinforum.com We already have over 40 members and 100+ posts!

Yes, someone recommended I start that board for that sort of thing, so post all you want there!

Also, I made sure there were NO restrictions on new members. I always hated that about this forum.

I'm working on having the theme changed, thanks for the input!

Each coin has it's own board, and I think that having them all in one forum helps give newer coins a chance, because of diffusion between different coin supporters. A lot of new coins don't have the clout to carry an entirely new forum, but with many coins, a fan of one coin can contribute to another coin's board without having to log in to another forum.

@aes1 Thanks! I started it because I was tired of all the noise in this board, it was chaos. New coin announcments, mining questions, giveaways, all of that. It was too much.

I just opened up a board on my forum for discussion of powercoin, here at altcoinforum.com

Changed Frankocoin to Franko 

Yacoin and Powercoin added.

@Tradefortress the name is completely coincidental, but .org only has 5 altcoins, whereas my site has over 20. I try to include all of the new currencies, and not exclude any.

@mokahless fixed it so it's easier.
