2  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Study shows majority of U.S. consumers ‘unlikely’ to purchase and use bitcoin on: September 09, 2014, 06:13:34 PM
translation: study shows majority of US consumers doesnt know how fiat really works.

Doh! Where do dollars come from? I think less than 10% is in tangible notes. The plastic cards are capable of reproducing pseudo-dollars or something and then there is fractional reserve banking, oh the humanity!
3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Reddit Blocked Our Pro-Bitcoin, Anti-Banking Site BanksWorstFear.com - entirely on: September 09, 2014, 05:44:36 PM
This is rather unfortunate. Seems like they could have sent you a message or a warning. But I also do not understand why you were banned.  I read the whole thread and I am still confused. I love Banksworstfear.com perhaps we should start using whoaverse...

edit: I read your article. Honesty is rarely rewarded. Fuck reddit.
4  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What wallet do you use for your Bitcoin? on: September 09, 2014, 05:34:47 PM
bitcoin core, electrum, mycelium
5  Economy / Speculation / Re: The only reason Bitcoin is more valuable then other altcoins on: August 13, 2014, 12:59:30 AM
Interesting that nobody repeats what Andreas Antonopoulus says about other crypto-currencies. He has said that he thinks there might be millions of crypto-coins being used in the coming decades. HE is the Bitcoin Guy. The Host of Lets talk Bitcoin, perhaps he knows a thing or two. It is sad that so many are quick to judge based on charts and forum posts. Is it really appropriate to call other crypto-currencies scams when are current economic system is already scamming us? I would take any crypto-coin in the #20 spots on coinmarketcap.com over fiat.

Have you guys heard we are due for a "Global Reset"? Newsflash banks do whatever they want. fiat=scam
6  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 1,000,000 bits = 1 bitcoin. Future-proofing Bitcoin for common usage? VOTE on: August 08, 2014, 03:32:00 AM
Is this going to happen soon? Im sure if this is a standard feature of the bitcoin core other developments will follow suit like electrum and mycelium etc.
7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A Reddit user is claiming to be a whistleblower from the Federal Reserve... on: August 06, 2014, 03:07:14 AM
I am intrigued. And I patiently wait for validation.

9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin Holders: Will you continue to hold or convert to Bitcoin? on: August 02, 2014, 11:10:27 PM
Most alts may well climb if BTC starts skyrocketing again, but others might climb faster than LTC at this point since it seems to have lost most of its buzz. Scrypt ASICs have definitely taken away the impetus from LTC because being ASIC resistant was one of the main selling points.

True true, though bitcoin's last spike to 1200 might also have been affected by the rise of ASIC's. The inevitable difficulty increase followed and the total amount of bitcoin users increased as well. This might not have been the case so much for litecoin since many of the investors in Scrypt ASIC's, who might have also invested in SHA-256 ASIC's, may have done so simply to increase their bitcoin holdings. That being said I think Litecoin is still very relevant and has very large widespread user-base. It is only a matter of time and development before the price increases. A stable price is also nothing to scough at. Many good things with litecoin. I'm holding, everything i invested and everything i have mined. It may not be the best, shiniest coolest altcoin, but it is still faster than bitcoin.

I donate to podcasts and other groups and buy things from time to time.
11  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Time is Running Out for Mark Williams Prediction of a $10 Bitcoin on: May 31, 2014, 07:50:35 PM
The only chance of Bitcoin dropping to $10 is if an early investor tosses 2-4 million coins on the market all at once.

We can only dream for such a dump, but it'll never ever happen. Ever.

And we have been having this dream since the beginning of last year...
12  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: eBay will go bankrupt in 10-15 yrs, and Bitcoin will be largely to blame on: May 31, 2014, 07:31:03 PM
My colleagues and I have had issues with ebay in the past. And being that sites like ebay and amazon survive off fees mostly it will be interesting to see how they adapt or fall off as bitcoin becomes more mainstream and then more preferred as a payment option. Though this is probably another five years away or more. I am really  hoping both ebay and amazon choose not to accept bitcoin for a long while; which will  hopefully allow other smaller start-ups a decent share in the market.

17  Economy / Computer hardware / [WTS] 2x sapphire R9 290 ESCROW (price lowered) on: March 23, 2014, 02:40:25 AM
I am selling 2 sapphire R9 290's that I purchased in December. I am asking $350 USD each or $700 for both cards. I will accept the equivalent in BTC or LTC based on their current market values and will definitely us escrow. The cards have been hashing for me since January. I was able to achieve a ~860 kh/s rate for each card and I'm sure the rate could be increased with overclocking. These cards ran great. No issues with windows 7 and they can run in temperatures up to 95 Celsius. I live in Houston Texas for those interested in local pickup. Otherwise I will only ship to the US. I am unsure on the shipping costs. Send me a PM if you are interested and we can discuss shipping costs then. You can also contact me @ foulowl@hush.ai

The cards will come in original box with all the accessories.

20  Other / Beginners & Help / bitcoin wallet on android phone on: December 15, 2013, 05:16:40 PM
I had a bitcoin wallet on my htc android phone. My wife did a phone reset through at&t. Of course the software informed her that all the settings would be backed up to the cloud. After the phone synced and reset, none of the previously installed apps were on the phone. When I re-installed the bitcoin wallet app my money was not there. Is there anyway I can recover this money? I did not back-up the wallet in the app, so I assume the btc is lost, but I want to know for sure before I give up.
