21  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Trade war China and US on: May 22, 2019, 07:55:37 AM
It's a step towards the integration of the US and China into one country. Think that is rubbish? Have a look at this project, and check its backing.

https://www.schwarzmanscholars.org/
This is really weird. I've never heard of this before. So they actually want to integrate?

I only see this trade war as something that may hurt the price of Bitcoin -- if it goes sour. Think about it like this, if the price of traditional investments is to decrease substantially. Then you're going to see speculative investments such as Bitcoin, and other high-risk investments start to go through more of a sell-off because people need liquidity in their other assets.

This would carry the assumption that those that invest in Bitcoin, have holdings in traditional investments as well. That assumption may not (fully) be true which would nullify the rest of what I've said.
Well actually I believe the opposite might happen. If it goes sour and turns into currency war bitcoin will benefit from this. First you have to look at bitcoin as a precious metal. Problems with gold and metals in general are multiple:
It is difficult to store. If we keep gold, we also need a place to store them safely.
It's not easy to exchange. In our times it is impossible to pay gold for our transactions and let alone when transactions are made electronically.
Bitcoin, other than trading, enables us to store value in them. And indeed a value that we can exchange at any time, which is unprecedented for those who are accustomed to the idea of precious metals. Bitcoin shares some of the positive characteristics of metals, but it does not have their negatives. So eventually it would be the safest choice to run to.

I really think this trade war going on is an opportunity for us all who believe in a decentralized world, can start promoting blockchain technology. And I mean talking about it everywhere. News, e-magazines, etc. Blockchain  can solve all of those problems. All it needs is recognition.

This trade war between these two strong economics will not gonna help us.
It would be better is one small economic will be restricted and then they are going to find another options in order to get rid of these barriers. Then the decentralized ecosystem would make sense. China and the US have strong allies thus a decentralized ecosystem is not necessary for them.
I know what you mean. They would prefer everything centralized . I'm a dreamer. I dream of the day I see a decentralized ecosystem. The banks fear it, so do governments. But my vision is that eventually they will adopt it.

Hard to say. I would advise you to do your own research and go with your gut. Personally I pick btc, eth, and Ada.
29  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I LOST OVER 10 BTC IN GAMBLING IN 2018 on: May 16, 2019, 10:33:48 PM
Well, you actually have enough to spend and loose. Never the less trading is also gambling. So that makes us all part-gamblers I guess. Just try and have stop-limits.  Wink
30  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH vs BTC on: May 16, 2019, 10:03:19 PM
No. But eth will certainly be the top 2 currency following btc. My opinion is that both are very undervalued. We will certainly witness big changes for crypto in the coming years.

Haters gonna hate. Eth is and will be a top coin! Price at this moment is irrelevant. Adoptation is the key and it has succeeded.

38  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think IOTA has the potential to dethrone Bitcoin? And why? on: May 13, 2019, 07:25:16 AM
I don't think we can compare any other crypto currency with bitcoin. Btc is and will be the King. It's the most trusted and more valuable crypto out there. Plus it's dominance in the market is strong making all other crypto following its uptrend or downfall.

Actually I believe there are lots of countries who accumulate btc. They just don't want us to know. Crypto will be the future of world currencies. This is for sure.
