No, this does not work. Unfortunately, bob123 is correct. You cannot recover the seed just using a list of private keys. So what now ? It's over for good ? Damn i'm sure about my password , i wrote it on notepad , paste it on Electrum when i change the password. Then, i changed electrum version, and now i'm dealing with this problem for months. And i can't understand why my seed doesn't works. Fuck Electrum, the software is not safe. 2.5 bitcoins in the wind... Can't believe this shit. |

I try many ways to unlock my wallet . I ask to Dave, still no response. I try professionnals, nothing. Months i 'm trying to find a way...
Nothing works.
Now i have only one question to maybe find a solution :
Can i recover seed from a list of private keys ?

I don't understand what you mean...
He is saying that you can have multiple wallet files in Electrum... The "default" wallet name is called "default_wallet"... when you attempt to create new wallets it will call it will first suggest the name "default_wallet", if that already exists it will try "wallet_1", then "wallet_2" etc. However, if you choose a custom name like "MySuperSecretWallet" then that is what the file will be called. As Electrum does NOT use a file extension (like .dat) the wallet files are called named whatever you use for a wallet name. Note that this has pretty much no relevance to your issue whatsoever and I have no idea why the guy posted it.  I check all the wallet file... Nothing... I think i can kill myself now. |

The default wallet is called "default_wallet"... any further wallets are given default names like "wallet_1","wallet_2" etc... if you change the name they will be called whatever name you give without a file extension... ie. "MySuperSecretWallet" etc.

I do not think for a password your wallet can forget it and cannot remember it.
Creating a password does need a strong password, but it would be nice to make it easy for you to remember.
It could also be by writing it on paper and storing it in a safe place. so if forgot to see in the paper earlier.
I answer that many times. I wrote down the password on the paper and on the pc. It's not the problem. All this days, i try to export private keys from the file and nothing... I put all the adress (more of 50), i have some transations (a lot) but no balance. I don't export the file manually. I think there is an option on electrum to export private key on csv.file, that's how i do it. I don't know how to do now, and no answer from dave recovery wallet... @HCP |

You have to admit that you seem to 1) not understanding our questions and not answering them properly 2) tell contradictory stories/information 3) be unable to read yourself
Yes i have a CSV file of key call electrum_private_keys. When i try to create a new wallet, using the option "importing bitcoin adress", it doesn't work, when i use my file, or when i copy , paste one or several adresses of the file.
The Button "Next" stay gray and i click on it.
Can i use my file to get something on it ? What can i do ?
You should maybe start reading the thread. You question has already been answered the first time:
It seems like you are either a bit confused on how to click on a link and read the small guide for about 3 minutes or you simply don't understand anything at all. In this case please clarify what EXACTLY you don't understand and/or doesn't work. We try to make it as easy as possible. Even monkeys could understand this if they were giving concrete information about whats going wrong. First calm your self. Second, i answered all the questions and multiple times. If you have any other question, ask here. There is no contradictory stories at all. I told you many times what's going on. Do i have to repeat my self again and again ? Which part you don't understand ? You think this i a good way to help me ? And yes i wrote the seed and the password on the paper and yes i used btcrecover many times. Now i'm trying to restore the wallet with private keys and it works but @HCP It restore a wallet with no balance on it, but there is transactions history. I only used 2 btc adress from the list. What's the next moove ? |

epayments.com are serious. Just a bit picky to verify your account (it takes 5 days), but if you have the documents you will be ready to go in a week. I got their card and it works well. I will try it. What about Revolut bank ? |

Second, Yes i had the same problem on MULTIBIT. I recover a wallet with the correct seed. But the wallet was empty. I have resolved this problem by finding an old version of my wallet file. I can't do it for my electrum problem because i dont have an other old copy of the wallet. Did you import a private key at any moment into your ('lost') wallet? Is it possible that you have imported a private key sometime in the past?
Those are not included in the seed.

Everyone, i told again and again : i'm sure about my seed and my password. When i use my seed, i recover a wallet with nothing on it, but there is two btc adress who i used in "adress".
And i had the same problem on multibit. I recovered my wallet but there was nothing on it.
Here is the same. I recover my wallet but there is nothing on it.
So , my old wallet won't work with my actual password and when i recover it, there is nothing on it.
I hope i m clear.

Someone here told me to restore a wallet with my seed and i did. Then, to try to recover some btc adress used and i did find two of them.
When i say no balance , no adress, i mean no balance and no History of transactions.
But when i go to "adress", i find two btc adress who i used to move funds.
So we can tell that Electrum restore 2 of my old btc adress , with my seeds.
I hope i'm more clear now. Do i have to stop asking Dave Recovery service ?

Sorry for the late answer...
I try seed recover with BTC. Nothing works.
With my actualy seed, i recover a wallet. But on this wallet, there is nothing on it. No balance, no adress.
I did'nt know what to do next. So i hire Dave recovery service. Now i wait for the result.
This situation is very difficult for me, so i'm trying not to think for now. Like i said, i hope that one day, someone will find a easy and a sure way to break a electrum wallet.
I tried many options and i m' very exhausted. I don't know what to do next.
I know that maybe there is a way with the master key or something like that, but i don't know how to do it.

Why would it be over and why wouldn't you use it? It's up and running exact same way as before. Minus the cards for now, of course, but that is being fixed. "Minus the cards" . So whats the point having a bank account without the card to withdraw his money ? It's not a bank account. If there's no point for you, don't use it, nobody's forcing you  It doesn't mean advcash is 'over for good'. Card providers come and go, it's absolutely normal. One is gone, the next is on the way. It's like a bank account. You know that a lot of your users, have it to convert btc to cash. So without card, how can we do it ? "The next is on the way" ; But who, when ? Give some real infos |

I still thinking that my wallet is corrupted. The file seems damage. Like i said i always had a possibility to restore an old version of my wallet.
What do you mean you "always had a possibility to restore an old version" of the wallet? Do you mean you were able to restore old versions of wallets when you were using a different wallet application? (like Bitcoin Core etc) Here I can't or maybe there is a way to restore the old file with the previous password ?
It's pretty simple... you either have a backup of the old file with the previous password... or you don't. Do you have a copy of that file stored someone like on a usb drive or other backup media? If not, then there is no way for you to magically restore this file I'm still confused by a comment you made earlier where you said: 3 / I know that's strange for my seed. I try to swith servers, i try everything and nothing works... And I'm sure about the seed because like i said, i recover one of the btc adress. It's green on the corner everytime.
If your seed was recreating a wallet that has the same address that you previously had... then there is something else that isn't working right. I found someone to buy my wallet for 2 btc... I don't know if i can accept.
If the amount that is in your wallet is even close to 2 BTC... sell it! why is this even a question?  And if you do sell, just remember to use an Escrow service! I'm guessing your wallets has more than 2 BTC in it? 1 / In Windows , i can restore old version of the file : "properties , previous version" for all my wallet except this one. 2 / No it was my mistake. I write the password and the seed everywhere but i don't think to make a wallet copy. 3 / No my seed WORKS. I recover a wallet with no balance, no adress. NOTHING ON IT. 4 / 2.5 btc on it. But i can forget selling it. The buyer ask me to send it first with no escrow... So now, i wanna just know who is fault ? Mine, the software , my hard drive ? Becasue i wrote the password, i wrote the seed who recover an empty wallet... I will never use Electrum again. @ncsupanda I'm ready to accept your help, maybe you will able to make better passwordlist that i do. I hope in future someone will find a way to crack electrum wallet...I keep it , hoping that it will be true one day. |

I'm dying. I don't know what to do next. I found someone to buy my wallet for 2 btc... I don't know if i can accept.
