1  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: scam alert, do not use freewallet.org on: October 01, 2020, 08:38:22 AM
Hi, everyone!

A quick update on this case: We got in touch with OP and concluded that the transaction was sent to an address external to Freewallet, thus, it wasn't reflected in his Freewallet account.

Since we haven't heard back for 3 days after the investigation on this case, we closed the request and considered it resolved. If the OP still has any questions, doubts, or concerns, we are available via email. Thanks!

[

Now, freewallet... I'll be honest: when one of your sockpuppets enters a thread to defend you, i usually feel this action is contraproductive for your case. If you need a shill/alt/sockpuppet coming in to defend you and say positive things about your service in the thirth person, my gut usually tells me you have something to hide... Same here: i would have given you the benefit of the doubt (innocent untill proven guilty), but since the shill army has entered the discussion, i'm inclined to add more value to the accuser's claim... Nothing was proven tough...

Thank you for sharing this logical conclusion! It seems, however, that we've never been given benefit of doubt in this thread.
Anyway, we dare to stress that the funds being sent to one address are unlikely to be reflected in another one, right? And the address used by the OP was never listed as the one belonging to Freewallet.
How does that sound it terms of logic?

Just not to take an aggressively defensive state, we are still on this case and ready to facilitate a transaction once we find there is a different transaction being sent to our address.
If the OP turns to her transaction, she may find out that originally it was sent to a different wallet/person. It's also possible.
Still, we have not heard from her!
Thanks everyone.

I tried to use freewallet.org to test send 0.54 BNB from Binance address to my freewallet.org. They claim it was never received.

After i complained to them, they switched the BNB address on my freewallet.org account and claimed i had sent the funds to a false address.

But they forgot to change the memo.

When i did the transactions i checked everything 3 times.

So apparently if i typed the correct memo i would have been attent enough to type the correct receive address as well right?

As you see they managed to change my deposit address but forgot to change my memo.

We still have not heard back from you and are looking forward to receiving an update in your support ticket.

Sorry to hear that you have this impression. All memo IDs generated by you for the BNB currency remain on your account - which you can double check in the Freewallet app.
The issue with OP's case is with the change in deposit address though, not the memo. Do you mean the change did happen then? I think even if you need to change deposit address, there should be a time frame for users to manage it.

From what we've found, there is no mismatch between the user's deposit address and Freewallet's deposit address.

However, the transaction was sent to a completely different address. We are waiting for clarifications from the user in the support ticket.

Hello,

I wanted to let you know that we are on your case and currently reviewing the details provided by you.

Also,
on the screenshot you sent here we can see the memo for your BNB wallet with our service but a different address.
We could not change the wallet address in the blockchain explorer.

Best regards,
Freewallet Team.

Hello Stuart,

We have your request on our list. The token routine in our app implies that we need to enable full support of your asset in our financial system. That's why the liquidity of these tokens is so important to us.
Once again, we'd like to remind everyone to carefully check the presence of tokens of your choice in our selection: http://bit.ly/2BzxJKQ

Dear author of this post, do you think the reviews https://cryptogeek.info/en/wallets/freewallet of your wallet users are objective? They are radically different from the reviews on this forum.
Ever heard about paid or fake reviews?
I just read through the review and it's fake and bullshit. If they are not scammers then why do we have so many individuals complaining about foul play by Freewallet. It's not like freewallet is not the only custodial wallet around. Why are we not getting this many complaints about other wallets.

Looks at a few complied complaints around the forum. This can't be a coincidence.

Just wanted to draw the attention of all reading this post,

We've replied to each complaint right under this list: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5249178.msg54452971#msg54452971.

Hi Stuartgh,

When it comes to adding new previously unsupported tokens, our focus is on the most liquid assets. As we can see, most exchanges are not reflecting the current price for OCTb tokens, due to the liquidity issues these assets might experience now.
We are on this case and continue to monitor the status of this project.

Hi javaloami,

The transfer was sent to the non-Freewallet address of the Segwit format.

Please note that Freewallet has not changed any details on its side. All changes took place on the side of the user interface which could be affected by malicious extensions of browser. We continue to investigate the incident.

Freewallet team are scammers, once you lose access to your email and password ( login details ) just forget your coins, I used to use freewallet when I still love using faucets and hunting airdrops, I lost some satoshis to freewallet simply because I couldn't log into my wallet again, the team never helped either

Hi there! We wanted to follow up with you regarding a login issue. Feel free to send me more info via DM. Thanks!

I hope the participants in this discussion from 2018 don't me picking up the thread, as I have a similar problem after making the mistake of sending OCTb, an ERC-20 token, to Freewallet before it was supported, back in August 2019.

I'm still waiting on a solution, after many emails and tweets; so in case anyone else makes the same mistake I've laid out the discussion with Freewallet on my blog

Any suggestions how best to encourage Freewallet to escalate this to a solution in June 2020?  Smiley

Hi stuartgh,
We are sorry to hear that you had such experience with Freewallet.
At the moment, we still don’t support OCTb tokens.
The full list of currently supported tokens can be found here: http://bit.ly/2BzxJKQ.

We understand that it's very important for you, and we are doing everything to find the resolution as soon as possible.
Our specialists will contact you as soon as there are any updates for you.

I used it for a year, there was no problem and I trusted it, but now ...
I hope they keep their promises because my team has talked to big organizations about their scams.

Dear mamoxe,

We are on your case and sorry to hear that the reviewing process takes longer than expected. In some instances, we may take additional time to review the documents under the verification procedure.

Brands are often labeled as "scam" which is easier to do when there is no immediate resolution of an issue. We understand your disappointment and keep you updated on the matter.

PS

We are glad to inform you that the full activity of your account has been resumed. Thank you for your cooperation!
15  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: *Scam* Freewallet Scam Report - Do Not Trust Freewallet *Scam* on: June 15, 2020, 05:58:25 AM
For now you are asking me for a "sending service", I don't understand what you mean with that, all I ask is for email verification, wtf

Hi Aeoris,

Since you are not able to receive email to the specified email address, we'll have to replace your verification email address and therefore ensure the best possible security for your account. That's why we asked for additional verification details.

Please provide us with a new email address in the support ticket.

I have also a problem with them, I used their XMR App for Android, as I needed it to receive a XMR payment, then when I wanted to withdraw it they asked me for email verification, all ok until I add my email and tried to verify it, never received a email since hours. Then I contacted them for help and they asked me for 100 things lol, I provided all info and they still asking me more and more things, I provided my phone number (same as the account), the IP is also the same, email too etc...

Hello Aeoris,

Sorry you've encountered the issue with email delivery.
As we can see, you've tried to receive a confirmation email too often within the last hour so the attempt could be automatically dropped.
We recommend you trying to receive a new email in a while.

We are still looking forward for your details for us to identify your request and proceed to the fastest resolution.
18  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: *Scam* Freewallet Scam Report - Do Not Trust Freewallet *Scam* on: June 13, 2020, 07:21:08 PM
Hi Mamoxe,

We always follow up on each thread and complaint posted on social media and forums. Every service has unhappy customers and it's a tendency to post negative experience rather than positive.

We are no exception and we have both good and bad feedback. We are happy to see positive reviews and gratitude to our team for the great service while negative feedback helps us fix our weak points and improve our wallet apps.

When the verification procedure is successfully completed, the operations on the account are limitless. We don't steal or transfer funds from any wallet; you can check your account yourself.

Please share your Used ID or support ticket number via DM so we can locate your case and look into it.
