If 1 xem = $0.001 usd that would give each stake a value of $2250 with a total market cap of $9m. All of the top 9 or 10 coins have a cap above 10 million so if we're expecting NEM to at least make the top 10 then we should expect $.001usd/xem around launch. Imagine 1 xem = .01 usd!

The bearish trend looks to be over for bitcoin, we've just crawled up past $280. Its looking to be a great time to launch NEM if development is ready.

Good job on the development guys. It looks like things are moving along nicely.
Its been since November since I've tried the software, I thought I'd test the latest beta. I first went for the new installer and realized I'm running 32 bit Windows so that was a bust. I'm running the the standalone version now and so far I am impressed. It was easy to get it going, just opened runMon and everything did its thing. I thought it felt very clean and user friendly. Now I am waiting for the blockchain to download, 11 days behind and I am about 45 mins waiting. I saw the other day where I could just download a copy of the blockchain to speed things up, does anyone have a link?
Edit: blockchain fully synchronized! Can someone send me some coins?

I think switching to 8 billion is a good idea. It might confuse some people with the amount change and yes some people will be upset, but oh well. I think its going to boost the market cap by a lot. Its all about the numbers. Its about what price people see on the exchange sites. With the illusion that its cheap it should bring in more buy support. 100 satoshis a coin looks twice as good as 200 sats. Attention is usually focused more on price than total supply anyway. Also it should help with hoarding coins by making it psychologically easier for holders to part from them. Someone is more likely to give up 100k nem of 2 million coins vs 50k nem of the amount of 1 million. "That shiny pretty 1M coin stash isn't complete anymore  " VS "I'm still holding 900k along with a whole 1 million, whoo!" |

I don't understand why its a big focus now when everyone knew 4 billion was the number all along. I don't think its going to have an effect on adoption.
If Nem turns out as great as we all believe, a little superstition won't matter.

There are 2 ways to invest in NEM currently. You can buy NEMstake on the NXT AE or you can buy gold and silver coins or donate to AltNemo ( http://altnemo.com/), the first company in the NEM ecosystem that will work on social mobile apps and a fast trading exchange (just to start!). Donating to a company may not seem like a way to invest, but donators will be given "exclusive privileges" in AltNemo. That's all I can say... Also, next week or the week after next people will be given a third way to invest in NEM, but that is a secret for now  Which exchange site will be the first? |

It may be very hard to ever get ahold of Nem at these prices again. There's only 5 stakes for sale below 50k NXT and that will probably get eaten up in the next several hours. Once the beta features start rolling out I wonder what kind of price will we see then?

Transactions seem to confirm very fast, within seconds. I noticed when I set my transaction fee manually, it automatically adjusts it after I click send. I specifically set 1 NEM fee for several transactions and they were all changed I initiate the transaction.

Too many people fell for this trick. There's lots of time being wasted here dealing with this account/stake reset crap, all could of been avoided if you guys were careful. If you have to suddenly re login while your browser session is already active, that should tell you something is wrong. You all are lucky he doesn't have some sort of behind the scenes java trojan installer hidden on the page. Its time to start being more careful, after all A LOT is at stake.. especially when we reach 1 NEM = $0.01.
