Hi, I was wondering how I can buy shares/invest? I have 0.1 BTC, I know it doesn't seem a lot, but I want to help. This is a great project.
Here's an idea for a motto/slogan : "Make things easy for people, not difficult."
Go to GLBSE (glbse.com), register and buy shares of asset "IBB". Currently its priced at 0.1 BTC, so you can get 1

Thanks. I went ahead and setup a Dwolla account. I decided it wasn't worth risking my PP account
Very good move, a lot of people got their PP account suspended by doing bitcoin transactions. Dwolla is only for US customers, what are we non-americans supposed to do? Western Union

I'm interested with Xoom transfers. However, I see that whenever I'll be using your service, I'm estimating like a more or less 18% fee for everything. For example, 35 BTC, your rate is @14.5 as I've seen, there is a separate Transfer commission and WM commission.
35*14.5 = 507.5 > -32$ - 30$ = 445.5 $ Received Total 507.5 - 445.5 = 62$ 62/507.5 = 12.2167 % COST of transferring money
Current exchange rate is @ 15.5. So instead of getting 542$ I get 507$ with your service. I see something like close to 17.80% commission on your part. Don't you think it's a little rip off by having 3x commission on your part?
I know there are costs in running your business however, how are we encouraged to use the service if it's quite expensive? Just a thought.
I agree.

Hi Guys, is there anyone trustworthy that would like to swap dollars for bitcoin? i've managed to load up my Liberty reserve account with dollars,it was complicated to do this., and involved moving funds from some dubious? nigerian? exchange, too change, who then took a large chunk in commision. Anyway, got it done eventually What I want to do is buy enough bitcoins to make a large purchase on 'The Silk Road' as they only accept bitcoins. I would ONLY like to deal with established forum members, with multiple posts, and a trading record on the forum. There are some real sharks out there, Ive already been ripped off for 300usd so, i'me very wary! ideally i'me looking to swap USD for Bitcoins outright. Dolllars are not really the main concern for me, and i am more than happy to pay 20USD (negotiable- for more money, if you can help for the full amount of bitcoins outright). Need exactly 100 Bitcoins. Don't feel comfortable at all using another exchange after all the hassle, and what i have been reading recently on the forums of exchanges being hacked. Would much prefer a personal trade. I'm more than happy to go first for the right person, or equally to use an escrow service if you prefer. So long as it's quick. Can anyone help? if so please pm, or just reply here if you prefer. Not sure of the correct ettiquette, as I'm fairly new to the whole bitcoin trading. So, aplogies if this is not the correct way to do things. Many thanks and kind regards, Sammy (United Kingdon). PM sent.

Hi, after reading through the forum and finding a lot of different answers I am still unclear if I should use Paypal for trading on for example bitmarket.eu. Is there any risk to pay or receive money for BTCs via Paypal? What are the DOs and DON'Ts when using Paypal for BTC trading, what is the risk Thanks End. Dont trade with paypal. You have below risks: 1) The buyer files credit card chargeback. 2) The buyer files dispute. 3) Paypal freezes your account. I have gone through all the above. Hence, just a warning.

Son: What are bitcoins, papa? Me: Tokens of value, son. Son: <blank stare> Me: See this coin? You can give it to someone in exchange for something. But it's just a token. You've seen me pay by credit card, that was another token of value, a different one. Bitcoins are another token of value, but just easier to manage. Son: Oh, I get it. It's an enhanced form of cryptocurrency that solves the double spend problem through the use of an open block chain. I imagine it'll use SHA256 or something to act as a proof of work so that transactions can be mathematically proved to be correct without the need for an overseeing middleman. And because they're just numbers then they can be stored on arbitrary media making them extremely portable. Me: <blank stare>
