how come that site is not a scam?
Why don't you buy the 10BTC Card so then you can get 20BTC in 23 days.. awesome Cheesy
They're offering something that i'm sure they can't keep up.

IF YOU WANT TO LOSE YOUR MONEY/BTC GIVE THEM A CHANCE AND YOU'LL SEE YOUR CASH VANISHING FROM YOUR EYES.

I did buy 3 card all for 0.15 BTC they should have been matured after 10 days day number 4 the withdraw I did ask were in pending day number 6 the site disappear from the net, a website was there offering to reimburse which I fill too and no answer since them.
I want my money back I wanted to use this site to leverage in other one to...

It was an obvious ponzi from day 1. If you throw your money into ponzis, you're going to lose more than you make. That's just how it works. Your money's gone. Next time don't throw random strangers your money when they promise things that are obviously fake.
322  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is Bitfinex turning into Mt. Gox? on: May 02, 2017, 01:58:38 AM
I think comparing BFX to Gox is a little unfair. Are there some similarities? Sure. But this is the crypto realm -- there are GOING to be similarities, no matter what site you look at. Gox went down because they were insolvent. BFX (at least if their word is correct) is not. Not to mention you can still deposit/withdraw BTC and other cryptos without issue.

You're right, but it was more of a screed about not trusting any exchange which blatantly has no comebacks.

BFX have managed to stay in the game but I've never been able to understand why they won't be more transparent.

Do you mean transparency as in their identities/locations? If so, I've seen that pattern across the crypto realm as well -- maybe related to the businesses being in other countries where social standards are different than in the Western societies? Not really sure on that.
323  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is Bitfinex turning into Mt. Gox? on: May 02, 2017, 01:36:53 AM
Not really...

Mt Gox was THE most popular and viewed as the safest and reliable exchange that was in the bitcoin world back in 2012-2013. Nobody ever could have predicted that Mt Gox was going to crash - it all seemed to function smoothly a few months before.

I first got into Bitcoin in early/mid 2013. At that point Gox was still touted as the go to place.

After five minutes of googling I discovered the following - In a far off land, check. Completely unregulated, check. Previously hacked, check. Passwords showing up in the browser, check. Legal problems, check. Run by some incomprehensible weirdo on a beach ball, check.

it was perfectly obvious to me that it was a dangerous shit hole so I never went anywhere near it. You would have to have been stunningly dim to trust it. And I'm not saying that with the luxury of hindsight.

I remember when it first started to really look like it was dying. People were saying it was too big to fail. It was still a handful of assholes in a rented office. My feeling that Bitcoiners don't have much to do with the real world persists to this day.

Obviously there was little or no alternative for a long time and Bitcoin wouldn't be where it is without it, but I still went straight to Localbitcoins and stayed there.

And I find it pretty depressing that somewhere as shady as BFX still plays a major role to this day. It should be gone by now.

Excellent wallet, fast and reliable, GUI s great, ability to exchange coins as well.

The only thing which s missing is Factom support, hope to see this one added quite soon, hopefully during May.

Factom is definitely something coming, If you can check the releases page, you will see a screenshot of the wallet. Factom is listed there, so I believe they are currently testing it and should be available in future updates.

So it's based on income, is what it looks like he's pushing (validating the business model). But it's not entirely clear what the business model is. Is it just getting income off trading fees for conversions or are there others planned?

I honestly don't know but the trading is based on ShapeShift.io API so I doubt they are taking any fees from it. You could ask them on their slack, they are very active there.

May have to do that. ShapeShift allows for commission for those that use their API, so my assumption is this is their monetization method. But if they really need income from the project, I don't see this as being viable.
325  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: BTC buy&sell - best rates from HiRiBi.com on: May 01, 2017, 04:37:28 PM
Mini Review

I don't think it is a scam but I don't think it's an automated system. I prefer automated trades because of how quick they are. I sent 0.03 BTC I got 3 confirmations within an hour and my transaction was moved to processing but I haven't still got any money in my PayPal account over 8 hours later. I think it may be because I started the trade around 11:30pm Sunday evening. Ordinarily this shouldn't matter if it's an automated system but I wonder if it isn't and someone has to be online to process orders.

EDIT: Just got my payment. Worked well all in all.

EDIT 2: Turns out they send payment through the 'Pay a Seller' PayPal method rather than the 'Send money to friends and family method. The downsides are these:
1. There is a percentage transfer fee. I was supposed to receive $45.59 they sent $47.71 but I received $44.83 because of the transfer fee.
2. It is reversible. PayPal state they don't offer payment protection for 'Pay friends and family' on the other hand. So that should be much harder or impossible to reverse.

I believe the reason why it's manual is because they aren't keeping a huge stock, so they take your order/coins, then sell them and give the money. At least that's how I took it based on previous posts.

.
Looks good.
Can you explain how gourl bridges a bank account and Dash please? (noob version for someone who doesn't know much about payment processors)

General instruction -

Convert received Bitcoin/DASH/altcoins to USD/EUR

https://gourl.io/#section8

You will need to create an account on any crypto trading platforms (Poloniex.com or Bitstamp.com or Bitfinex.com, etc)
Setup so that all your received payments are automatically forwarded from your GoUrl.io account to your account on Poloniex/Bitstamp/Bitfinex/etc (enter your Poloniex/Bitstamp/Bitfinex/etc coin wallet address in gourl payment box settings). And use the "autosell" feature (auto trade your cryptocoins to USD) on Poloniex/Bitstamp/Bitfinex/etc.
Using that functionality you don't need to worry if cryptocurrency prices go down or up. Within 1-2 hours after a cryptocoin payment has been received by you, your payment will be automatically converted to USD on Poloniex/Bitstamp/Bitfinex/etc and will be kept on your Poloniex/Bitstamp/Bitfinex/etc USD account.
Later you can withdraw your USD from Poloniex/Bitstamp/Bitfinex/etc to your own USA/UK/France/etc bank account

The big benefit of our GoUrl Cryptocoin Payment Box is that it fully integrated on your website, no external payment pages opens (as other payment gateways offer).

.

What conversion rate is it using, though? Even excluding the obvious volatility of coins, how it's calculated means a lot. Some have a spread of 5%+, and if you're using the buy price to decide value, the sell price could be far less (meaning that $10 you just got only sells for 9).
327  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: CoinChat.io now live ! Chat about Cryptocurrencies for free in real time! on: May 01, 2017, 04:32:55 PM
It'd be very beneficial to allow people to join with temp usernames, rather than having to register. Lowers the barrier to entry, lets you chat anonymously (people can already create unlimited accounts), etc.
328  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: [Unofficial] Exodus Wallet | Multi-Currency | Built-in Exchange on: May 01, 2017, 01:53:19 AM
Jprichardson who is the Co-founder of the wallet btw has already explained on why Its not open source (yet): https://www.reddit.com/r/CryptoCurrency/comments/5q7wna/jaxx_and_exodus_wallets_are_closed_source_why/

No there DVC: https://www.coingather.com/walletstatus/
In "Balances" the DVC deposit address disappeared and my last transactions on this exchange did not come.

Wonder if it's related to my wallet issue. Up until about 2 weeks ago I was able to sync fine (for a year+). All of a sudden, it throws errors in the blockchain. I have the feeling they might have had the same thing happen.

I'm not sure but the support staff at Coin Gather is exceptional. The site's admin was here in this thread a few months ago offering to add DVC to the BTC trading pairs but no one from the Devcoin team responded.

It seems like the dev(s) getting the block reward would be motivated to take care of these things? Give the block reward to the people willing to work and this coin could rebound to record heights.

I'm going to have to agree with you. At this point, one thing is clear: it's going nowhere under its current setup. Any change at this point is welcomed by me. At the end of the day, it can't get much worse than it already is.

Who is "C-M" holdings? They are a public entity on the NXT chain but I can't find any information about who's behind that name.

The Witcher: Enhanced Edition - GOG (not Steam) key: 9PNSB0336CD7BD42C1

Cheers! :-)

Ooh, nifty. I haven't yet played the first Witcher. Thanks for the free key.
Edit: For anyone else seeking a copy you can get it through Ars Technica at https://arstechnica.com/gaming/2017/04/ars-and-gog-two-great-tastes-that-go-great-together/

I also just attempted to acquire MW2 and on the checkout page when validating email addresses it claims a + is invalid, it's commonly used for filtering/tagging emails https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Email_address#Sub-addressing

As in username+sitename@gmail.com

I used a different email in the mean time and am just waiting for the confirmation of the btc

Awww, I missed it. And missed the GoG giveaway. I've heard great things about Witcher, though! Interested in hearing how it is after you get a chance to dig in, Smiley.

Eric left the Bixin team, that's why no more support here

They don't have anyone at all here?

There is another person, but I rarely see him.

Yeah, I have the feeling their wallet isn't their main concern anymore. They said almost a year ago they were hiring someone to edit the English text on their site as well and never did it. It's all just fallen to the wayside.

The site is largely in English..just a few popups that still come up in chinese

Being in English and being in correct English are two vastly different things. If you want to cater to English speakers, you should hire someone that can properly write in the language. I even offered to do it for them and was rejected (there was a claim about an Australian that was supposed to do it, but that apparently never came to be).
335  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: [Over 1 BTC Invested] 10 Vouchers + <<Business Investment - 20 % Weekly>> on: April 28, 2017, 04:48:13 AM
Giving money to someone and hoping they will pay you back (with interest) is always risky. It's risky even in real life.

If you don't like to take risks: Don't gamble, don't invest. I don't care how the OP is making money: As long as I get my money back I'm ok.

+1. It's all about risk vs reward. What are you risking, what is the potential reward, and what is the chance of obtaining said reward. There are more factors since we're dealing with other individuals, but with that said, I felt the risk vs reward made sense in my case.
336  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: ★ Key4co.in ★ Instant Gamekeys with Bitcoin! Sale! on: April 28, 2017, 03:11:53 AM
Hey, i just check your website and i found Mass Effect Andromeda is very cheap (compared with Origin price). Since it's so cheap, i wonder if the game can be played worldwide and obtained in legal way (since i often see shady/untrustable site such as G2A) Huh
HiHi!

Unless specified otherwise the game can be activated without a VPN and played worldwide. My Keys are legal and never get banned/regionlocked, you also don't have to buy "shield" for a buck Wink. G2A is shady due to the simple fact that their verification for sellers is basically non existent, but I guess they just want to attract as many people as possible. Their fees start at 10,8% + various other fees for editing the stock, listing a new item etc. etc. I only have to pay my server + domain which is considerably less, in addition to that I have to keep my margin low otherwise I won't attract any attention, thus no sales.

If you have further questions feel free to ask Smiley

I was under the impression the only real issue with g2a is buying cheaper games that are in other currencies (and priced according to their own buying power) and then selling in NA/EU. I see that no different than going to the country to buy goods/import back into your country.

It's the manner in which G2A acquires/sells/facilitates them, many of their keys are the result of Credit Card fraud.

Video explanation of G2A: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mBakPg6x63Q
How to unsubscribe from the monthly fee: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vwngbg69iOY
A big name example: https://web.archive.org/web/20160824104932/http://tinybuild.com:80/g2a-sold-450k-worth-of-our-game-keys

That last link really explained a lot. I had heard claims, but not with actual data to back it up -- just people who THOUGHT there was something shady. That is, in fact, an issue, and I don't think G2A cares as long as they profit off it.

Let me try this method you are promoting here.
I don't usually ever believe in any of these ponzi schemes in this section ever.
But yours seems to be different.
If you can give me a vouch for a week then i will give my honest review on your investment program and you will get more investors.
Sure why not. If you are legit as so many have been saying since early last month.
So almost two months is the longest any of these investment based games usually fade and die off so this is why I am going to give it try but do not want to put any of my bitcoin into it before seeing it in action first.
So pm me if you are able to offer me a vouch of this so i can try it out for myself.
Thanks.

Why would he give you free money to "vouch" when some of us that are MUCH more well-known have invested and are already sharing our results? He gains absolutely nothing from you. You just want free money.
Especially when a Vouch on a investment form can't prove anything, just that the investor would re-pay atleast one time. Thats how ponzi-schemes work.

Very true. I don't make any promises as to what someone will do in the future. However, if they've given enough proof to get me involved, I will post my own experience over time. That said, nothing is without risks.
