681  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Renting Hash Power, is it profitable? on: December 22, 2016, 08:25:46 AM
Well, I rent hash power on nicehash and I spend 0.01 btc. after spending all of it, I only got 0.0004 in return. is renting hash power profitable? then why many people still renting hash power on them. am I doing something wrong?

First ask yourself why Nicehash are renting out hash power. Did it not occur to you that their rigs are not profitable for themselves? The purpose of renting out hash power is to transfer their risk to you. You are the hedge in their risk of their mining operation. So the answer to your question is a simple no.

This is exactly how to think about it. If I can make $100 mining with the hardware, why would I do MORE work (I still run the hardware, but now I also have to deal with accounting, user maintenance, etc.) and charge less than $100? Hint: I wouldn't. It doesn't make business sense.

Don't use Cryptopay for gambling.
Yes they have sent me message regarding this, not only gambling they are saying they will lock card if you receive fund from paypal and skrill too.

Quote
Please note that unverified customers are not able to accept payments from third party websites like PayPal, Skrill or online casinos.

And it seem this is due to updated KYC policy of wave crest limited (Card issuer). This may now affect all other debit card provider affiliated to wave crest.
Quote
I'm sending this email to remind you about changes in "Know Your Customer" policy of our issuing partner — Wave Crest Limited.

Better you try sending your document again, please note that they don't accept document with non-latin characters (i think passport is good for this). Try to translate if you have document with non-latin characters before sending them.

Seriously, they block you when using PP/Skrill as well, two of the largest payment processors IN THE WORLD? Luckily, I haven't used Cryptopay, but looks like they're taking the Coinbase "let's alienate our users" path.

Wow, these are expensive. What's the reason for picking this over something much cheaper, like an anonymous VPN? Not trying to crap on your thread/pricing, genuinely curious.
684  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Debit Card top 6 on google search 2016 on: December 22, 2016, 08:20:30 AM
6. bitpay : https://bitpay.com

- bitcoin hidden fees : low

Can someone please elaborate on this part? Based on what I could tell, the deposit rates were comparable to what Coinbase claims BTC is worth at that time, and there are no fees for using it as a credit/debit card. What are the hidden fees?
685  Economy / Securities / Re: [Cryptomerian.com] 4%/monthly Average - 105 BTC Total Investment on: December 22, 2016, 08:18:17 AM
What is the fund's policy in case one of the investment center defaults ?

The fund can't control anything... out of their control. What is the policy? What are they supposed to do? The issue with the p2p lending in the crypto world is that none of it is licensed, so there is no legal obligation for anyone to repay any of their loans, nor any true punishment for not doing so. It's a trust-based system.
686  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] HaoBTC, mining dividend paid out hourly on: December 22, 2016, 04:47:21 AM

What's the current normal interest rate?

1% per year.

Lol 1% , well next to nothing thats something, but seeing it used to be 6% earlier this year. And also seeing that the having happen shouldn't it be around or near  ~ 3% ? 1/2 of 6 you know.

Save up all month to pay 1 withdraw fee..

Icon

With 1 BTC, it'd take 9.x days to get enough to pay the withdrawal. So it really depends on how much you deposit (10 would take 1 day, 0.1 would take 4 months, etc.).
687  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [FREE] Monero Brass Coin Giveaway on: December 22, 2016, 04:27:44 AM
Hey! Wanted to toss an update and let you know my coin came in! I sort of lucked out... had someone ringing my doorbell, found out it was a neighbor and they handed me a little envelope and just said "this came to our mailbox..." and walked away. Saw who it came from/location and was baffled by what it could be. Opened it and found out it was the coin!

Really happy the people who received it gave it to me. I never would have even known it came in otherwise, Smiley.

Thanks, Smoothie!

The new project seems taking time.  I think it will be big, I hope it push the price of VictoriousCoin soon.  I will wait here patiently what will happen next before I buy myself VictoriousCoins.

I hope so as well. It's pretty crappy for them to advertise one of the biggest perks of being a large holder as getting a bonus 3% per month, then reneging on that. I'm seriously hoping they will make up for this somehow. It's essentially a contract they're breaking at this point.

I don't want to get into conflict you will get the 3% as promised, but if you look at it positively being a vip members entitles you to download I'm sure you already downloaded all our premium e-books and tutorials all of these are worth if we summed it up $300..

We are thinking of the best step that will benefit everyone involve,
Let's enjoy the holiday and wait for our update ..
Thanks for supporting us this early.. Smiley

I'll give a decent amount of time for the next update. I hope it comes early on in the new year. Looking forward to hopefully seeing some good progress in this area, Smiley.

Bitdice fixed

For BitDice, it's not sending the email when I do this -- only when attempting to log in through the browser.

well technically you should be able to use the email from the browser to verify dicebot. As to why it's not sending the email. Are you using the correct email and password to log in with bitdice? and did you select bitdice from the site menu?

Yep, and yep. Even logged out of the BitDice website in my browser just to see if that was the issue. I did copy/paste of password just to verify (log in site -> try to log in bot) and still errors out. Wonder if anyone else has this problem.

Edit: weird, just tried it again and had had no issues getting in. However, it shows my balance as zero across all four currencies. It shows the other stats correct (wagered, profit, etc.) but balance of zero. Logged out of the site and that's still not helping (logged out of site -> relogin on bot).

I know the stats are messed up for bitdice (although they're even more messed up now because Alex made a bunch of changes). And unless Alex added the balance to the bet response again, betting won't work either.

Ahh, that explains it. Yeah, had tried betting and it wouldn't go through since the bot thinks there's zero balance.
690  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] HaoBTC, mining dividend paid out hourly on: December 19, 2016, 07:27:22 AM

This is true, but it is a huge step. It would allow the service to truly pose as a wallet.

Also, there's no interest for just holding balances anymore, is there? It's only if committing to the 1m+ period?

There is interest for your balance in the wallet. We calculate this interest hourly, but we pay it to you on the first day of every month.

What's the current normal interest rate?

Uhm my site is correct Tongue I don't use any fixed percentages or something like that. It's all calculated based on your stats.

Is your site not assuming we've obtained commission off every BTC ever wagered? Because that's the part in question. The math itself is correct -- the encapsulated period (and thus wagered) for which we've obtained commission is not.

Also, to add on to the last post, we've given a decent amount of BTC to help with promos, reimburse users that had deposit issues back when they were a problem, etc. We will continue to show our dedication to both investors AND players through the coming years, proving time and time again that we're in it for the long haul, Smiley.

Is it true only investors lost the money in moneypot but moneypot owners and app owners are in profits?

I'm not so good in understanding the statistics, but from this table, it looks like only investors lost the money and others are in still profit. If it is true, then moneypot is not suitable for investors, right?

Yes, it's true.

The site and the apps make a guaranteed gain every time a bet is placed, even if the bet wins. When a bet wins, not only do the investors have to pay the winner of the bet, but they also have to pay the site and the app owner. You can see that in the screenshot. Comparing the left and right sides you see that while the site profit dropped by just 78.5 BTC, the investor profit dropped by 82.5 BTC. The app owners actually profited by 3 BTC from this large loss, and the site itself profited by a further 1 BTC. The investors made up the difference.

On the other hand, if the apps ever do better than expected then the investors will also do better than expected. The site and the apps take a percentage of the wagered amount, independent of the actual profit. The way things are set up means that when the site performs at less than 70% of expectation the investors take a loss.

If moneypot and app owners are not involved in risk taking than I don't consider such sites are safe to invest money and it is just my opinion because I think in some way site owners and app owners also need to pay these big wins then only I feel whole business model can grow in a healthy way otherwise I think it is not fair to push all losses to only investors. And I don't think hosting and maintaining site cost will be that high to push all big wins only to investors.

App owners have their own costs. MP has their own costs (encapsulating coverage of all apps, development, time expense, etc.) PLUS has always had a large portion of the BR. To say MP has not had any "risks" is asinine. When the BR tanks, MP loses as well, not just investors, as MP is, at its core, an investor as well, both personally and business-oriented.

I also want to stress the fact that the grand total paid to ANY of the MP owners over the past year (which covers our ownership period) is exactly 0.00000000 BTC. ALL income that has been made has always been put back into the system for growth, development, etc. There has been a lot we've worked on behind the scenes, and just don't want to share at this point because people like to ask for a specific release date and then attack you if something slows that down and/or things change with regards to actual execution of ideas.

What have you guys spent $100,000 on over the last year...?

The number shown/claimed on Dicesites is FAR from actual. We had zero commission for a significant period of the year, which isn't accounted for there. We didn't get even close to 100k. And that's assuming it was all kept in BTC. Our expenses are almost entirely fiat-based, where the value of BTC was much lower than it is today.

Anyways, I brought up the fact that we've taken zero satoshi because we are in this for the long-term, not short-term.
694  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: (JWL) JEWELS 🔷 HEROES LAUCHED 🔷 1ST JWL USE CASE 🔷 TRADING ON BITTREX on: December 19, 2016, 03:58:26 AM
JWL added to poswallet.com. Block explorer, staking wallet, and faucet are all online.

I'm going to suggest NOBODY use PoSWallet. They screwed me bad (stole coins with very little notice) a while back. I won't forget. And it's just a matter of time before they do it again with other coins, so BEWARE.

Actually looked around since you posted this & it is quite alarming how many people have had this happen to them.

What they pulled was shady as hell. To clarify:

They have an announcement board where they will list coins that are going to be delisted on x day, say, December 31st.
They phantom update this list occasionally.
They add coins THE DAY OF, some just minutes/hours BEFORE they remove all of them on the list from the site.

If yours happens to be on that list, they claim "well, we told on the site before we removed them so that's your fault."

The issue is there is NO TIME for most of them, as they don't send out any alerts or anything. And even if you withdrew as soon as they added one to that listing, there are some that take 12h+ to be withdrawn. I've seen a couple that even if you tried to withdraw right as they added it to the "we're removing x" list, you still wouldn't get them since the withdrawal would take too long and they take the coins offline before that happens.

On top of the outright theft they do, they also don't stake most coins properly. I did tests side-by-side of a few coins in the past. One got 30% of what it should, one was 5%, and one was around 1% (assuming equal amounts deposited to local wallet/PoSWallet and watching the balances as they stake over a period of 30 days).
695  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] HaoBTC, mining dividend paid out hourly on: December 19, 2016, 03:43:08 AM

You can send out the funds once every hour to combine the transactions. So that the average fee will be reduced.

They shot down the idea a bit earlier but I think clarification may help this: you offer two types of withdrawals:

1) Batch, sent hourly
2) Paid, sent instantly

This would allow those that don't want to wait the chance to get theirs instantly, while those who don't mind can get theirs free. Win-win.

Thank you, I will discuss this proposal with our product managers and engineers. You know there are a lot of issues to trade-off.

This is true, but it is a huge step. It would allow the service to truly pose as a wallet.

Also, there's no interest for just holding balances anymore, is there? It's only if committing to the 1m+ period?

they once said anything over 1 btc would have no fees, they were wrong...

Wait, there are fees even if you're sending 1 BTC+ now? If so, that largely kills the point of using the wallet over another party that doesn't even pay interest.

Hi, ranlo, this 0.0005 is paid to miners for their confirmation of your transaction. Every wallet has to pay it. We used to pay this fee for our users when the fee was low and our user number was small. But, obviously, it is not sustainable.

You can send out the funds once every hour to combine the transactions. So that the average fee will be reduced.

It's very frustrations, probably illegal, from a company operating from the US... unbelievable.

It's an unregulated market. They are not licenced, and they are using a cryptocurrency, as opposed to a "currency" (note that in the U.S., Bitcoin is still not seen as money yet). As far as the law is concerned in this case, it's no different than you "loaning" rocks. There's no legal recourse here for lenders OR borrowers. And that's what makes it so dangerous.

Are you attempting to market this as being a Darknet-type deal, or is it just a decentralized marketplace so that you don't have to deal with corrupt administrators (with legal items)?
