New picture:

Sorry or delaying with that but I had some bad trouble with my computer these days.

Looks like a lobster to me Tongue

Looks like a duck here... I really can't see the lobster. The middle part would be the duck's beak, and at the top of it you'll see the eyes, surrounded by the white head. The bottom white would be the body.
9502  Economy / Exchanges / Re: BuyBitcoins.com - 50,000 bitcoins for sale at 15 BTC/USD on: May 16, 2013, 03:03:40 AM
Ah, 3 years ago. I still remember what I did in those days, watching Clannad on my MSI GX640, playing TF2. Didn't know what bitcoins were.

lol, I was doing some research on coin-related things last night when I ran across a post where someone had up a chart to show that BTC was going to be really successful. At the time it had gone from 1 cent to 13 cents over a period of multiple months, but the poster stated that it was going to be big in the future. I doubt they had any idea how big...

Hey there! Some constructive criticism for you:

1) I love the site and the way it looks. It's fluid and it just "feels" great. The tournaments page is awesome!

2) The HTML client is perfect, if you're on a portable device. It looks and feels like you'd expect on an iPhone and such. But when you move to a real PC/laptop/etc., it just doesn't feel right. Essentially it's giving that iPhoney vibe on the PC that really isn't too good. If it'd be possible to make a client, or at least adapt the current one to separate between PC users and those on portable devices, I think that would be perfect.

I love the site and I look forward to seeing what you guys have in store for the future!

We always had the plan for having 2 different clients for mobile play and for live play on the website, but it was most convinient to launch the html5 client first. We will start working on our flash based client now, which will be more suited for pc and notebook play. We will never stop moving forward.

Thanks for your input!

Thank you for listening! It's great to hear that you're already moving in the direction of a new client. I can completely understand where you're coming from regarding the current one being used for all platforms right now.

Like a couple others have said, though, it would be preferable if you could do an HTML5 client for the desktop version as well. A lot of people are against Flash, and HTML5 is a lot faster (or should be) and less "intensive" (ram and I think CPU?).

1st of all I think using a VCC is the best way to avoid CC fraud.
2nd Sorry for digging up this grave here.
3rd I'd really wanna know if this works anymore cuz apparently I just placed an order.

You really got the short end of the IQ stick, didn't you?   Roll Eyes

If you want to know how something works, start a new thread and ask - don't dig up one that is over two years old.  Especially with the price difference.

When I saw it I was like "whoa, this is an obvious scam" but then I realized it's from 2010, lol.
9505  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: which logo looks better ( Updated ) on: May 15, 2013, 10:05:04 AM
I prefer logos that have graphics, so all of them in the first post would be out for me. If I had to choose one, though, I would go with the second one (looks like a Harry Potter font?).
9506  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: USB Powered Miner >300MH/s on: May 15, 2013, 10:02:36 AM

The payoff time is not exponential by adding more of them either, it will take around the same 160 days for one or for five (1500 mh/s if you're counting).

This part is a very valid point. Consider the increased earnings by having more though. After that (160d) you would be looking at, say $1,500 a month instead of $150 a month by having 10 instead of 1 (all using theoretical numbers). Of course, the investment is also larger, increasing the risk.

I've had no issues getting the game to run, being disconnected or anything, but I do have a huge problem with the lack of information about some things (and the chat system is so difficult that people seem to not use it much).

I've been playing for 8 days now. I went to all of the statues on the "newbie" island on the first day and then started playing the various games needed to level up. When I ran out of kSAT I was under the impression we could get more from soldiers (which a few people have confirmed). The issue here is that I am still level 1 (I had very bad luck so am missing a lot of tasks needed for level 2).

Every 6-12 hours or so I log back into the game and go to the statues to see if any have kSAT. They all still (after 7 days) say "You wouldn't want to dishonor the soldier..." leading me to believe that I need to do something to get them to reset. But I can't find information on what that is or how to go about it.

Any assistance with this would be much appreciated. I'm trying to better understand how things work and as of yet (even searching through other threads across the 'Net, as well as reading the Wiki) I've had no luck.

Thanks in advance.

Ha.

You broke the first rule and talked about it on the site!!!!

Anyway, the first red flag is this: this website has no income. So there's nothing to invest in.

There was no considerable downtime or rollbacks recently, so I don't know what that's about. There are no plans to start an exchange here.

The site has received so many donations from members that it was actually having problems finding a way to store the funds. Why would they need further investments?

It's just a scam. And if it wasn't, I think a website that has absolutely no interest in monetizing itself would be the worst investment ever  Tongue

Come on, it said the site earns over 200k a month after expenses!

Another red flag is the email address. If it came from an official person I'd expect it to come from an @bitcointalk.org address. I don't really take things as being "official" until their email matches their domain.
9510  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Would you rather on: May 14, 2013, 06:45:07 AM
Since this is only rather unformal forum where "newbies" try to farm comments... I have a question to ask:
Would you rather fight a horse-sized chicken? or 20 chicken-sized horses?

The horse-sized chicken. Ever heard of a chicken killing anyone? No. But horses kill/injure people all the time!
9511  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Restrictions for newbies on: May 14, 2013, 06:43:02 AM
I think it does stop the creation of some spam accounts. Mostly because of the time limit, which isn't hard to reach if you're a legitimate user. However, if you were trying to create 50 spam/scam accounts, I wouldn't want to be the one managing them all to 4 browsing hours.

I think the timer is a great thing, but the whole "x posts" is a little detrimental I think. It sucks when you're like me, someone who's lurked for quite a while (hours a day) and signed up an account to respond to a thread today, only to find out you can't because you now need x posts and x time spent logged in as well.

I'm not seeing any images on my screen either...
9513  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: USB Powered Miner >300MH/s on: May 14, 2013, 06:40:55 AM
too expensive for only 300mh/s with asics coming out.

Yea might as well buy a half-descent GPU as at least you could use it for gaming or resell to gain some bucks back.
When ASIC's finally arrives i don't see why anyone would buy a USB miner except for maybe novelty purposes.

This is my thought as well, especially considering they'd have no use after. It's not like you can unplug them when they're obsolete and then use them for some other purpose.
