Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Are we repeating the 2014 BTC crash???

Every bear market crash is different so you cannot compare one with the other based on a chart. The reason for this crash is the mt gox sell off and the increasing number of regulations from different countries. The G20 summit has dismissed the need for regulation and the next mt gox sell off is after september so we should be ok now

XSPEC is good, but looking at your portfolio i would dump ETC and put more into LISK. There is a much bigger development team and a bright future ahead. ETC is an abandoned version of ethereum that few serious projects will bother to use. LISK will compete with ethereum later this year when DAPPS are built on their sidechains.

Normies probably bought in at the ATH speculating that they will double their money within a few months, but due to the crash they mitigated their losses and cashed out early. Can't say it was a bad thing as it did go down further, we should hope they do return and invest again at the right time - which as we all know is now!

Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Zcash be a tool to avoid tax?

Any privacy coins can be used to evade tax. Zcash is one example but there are many more as well. I would pick lower market cap coins as they are away from government radars and have the potential to rise up more. Deeponion (TOR integrated) is a good example with a low market cap and solid roadmap for the future.

He left it in good hands by creating a foundation with plenty of volunteers. Other coins however will need to keep some development funds to survive as they won't be as popular as bitcoin. They won't have developers working for free, and it should be locked into a smart contract with gradual release over several years.

Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: HOW DO YOU THINK ABOUT ANONYMOUS COIN
|
on: March 18, 2018, 09:55:35 AM

Once the coins are stolen there is not much you can do about it. It is easy to convert into anonymous coins so even if they stop listing the top 3 privacy coins, another exchange will do it. Also there is a rise in Decentralised exchanges which has no requirement for know your customer. They should have requested a NEM fork instead.

As many others have said, you will need to take a risk and in this market that risk is going to be big. I recommend buying WAGERR and using their sports betting platform to double your money. WAGERR itself might double, and if you win your bets then you'll get even more profits! Not sure if betting is available yet but if not it will be soon

Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to earn more merit LEGALLY ???
|
on: March 18, 2018, 09:31:13 AM
|
The simple answer is to write interesting posts that offer something useful. An example is to call out a scammer by doing research and submitting your proof to the bitcointalk community. By helping to clean up the crypto world you will be doing us a service and will receive a lot of free merit for it.

Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which cryptocurrency is the most anonymous?

I'm surprised no-one has mentioned XSPEC yet, although there is still a battle going on with the state of development it is still a good anonymous coin with stealth addresses and TOR integration. However, if you want a good investment then DeepOnion has a large development team and ambitious roadmap. This will go up for sure.

Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What am I to do?
|
on: March 18, 2018, 09:19:57 AM

It depends on how quickly you need money. The market will recover as it always does so the best thing to do is HODL. If you can spare it however, an even better thing to do is buy more to mitigate your losses. If you buy a coin at $10 and then again at $5 then your average price is $7.50 so your losses overall will be less

Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is 2018 the year of stablecoins?
|
on: March 18, 2018, 08:52:24 AM

There is no need for an influx of stable coins, if the price doesn't move then there isn't much point investing in them. Part of the fun is seeing your investment go up and down, although less fun when it goes down If they are tied to different markets then it could be good e.g. gold, usd, oil, etc..

Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Do you think this year will be Red?
|
on: March 18, 2018, 08:46:44 AM
|
I think that this is a prolonged period of red but 2018 will recover, the market always does when there is good news - we just need to wait for it! There is a lof of pent up demand right now, when there is a sign that a bull trend will begin, there will be a sharp correction going up so it's good to get some cheap coins now.
