881  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Ask about The Best Wallets for Bitcoin ? on: September 24, 2022, 11:49:25 PM
Here (highlighted text) you could give the names of reliable mobile applications that can be trusted (as far as it is possible in the case of app), so that OP avoids interacting with dangerous ones. Unfortunately, I don't have sufficient experience in using mobile wallets and can't recommend anything. Actually, for me to know too.
Electrum has a mobile version too. He already talked about it though he had emphasis on the desktop version but the mobile wallet is equally good.
The reason most people suggest electrum is because it's open source and reproducible, something which is not possible with most software wallets.
Mobile wallets aren't equally good as desktop wallets for example Electrum, IMO.
Considering its high risk when you're using Electrum in the app version especially if you will use your personal mobile phone or it's a rooted phone.

The best Bitcoin wallet IMO is the hardware wallet, because they'd built-in security features that will secure your fund.
882  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: All I need to teach my employees about Bitcoin on: September 24, 2022, 11:38:18 PM
My request from this forum is to give me more hints on other things I must lecture them on concerning 😟 Bitcoin and how to receive payment from customers.
This is great. I followed your previous thread. Also, coming back to ask for more hints on what to teach your employees about bitcoin proves that you are committed to making it work. This is my two cents. First, have your employees sign up on Binance or on whatever platform appeals to you. Teach them to buy and sell bitcoin. It sounds crazy but unless they get to understand the importance owning and using bitcoin for transactions from personal standpoint, it will be difficult for them to see the importance in the business.
Signing up without proper knowledge may result in losing the fund.
It should be teaching them first how Bitcoin will work and how it will store in a safe place, let them understand that storing in custodial exchange might have a chance of losing their fund.  After purchasing it should be transferred into the non-custodial wallets.  Transferring crypto isn't reversible, they should be careful with every transaction.

Chose a wallet that you can modify the fee which I think Electrum wallet is enough for this.
883  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Where to buy bitcoin on: September 24, 2022, 11:12:22 PM
Hey guys,
So I know this is common question but where is a good place to buy a large amount of bitcoin with no to little fees. Aswell as a website that doesn't lock your account so sending btc to a ledger wouldn't be a problem after buying btc. Those are the two big things I'm looking for since I'm about to dump around 50k into btc.

Thanks everyone!
Aside from what they suggested a decentralized exchange where to buy Bitcoin that will protect your privacy is a P2P exchange, you can also use this forum Bitcointalk the same as a p2p exchange.  Visit this section, Economy > Marketplace > Currency exchange and make sure to use a legitimate escrow member for every transaction that you have.

A 50k of what?  It is a dollar?
Sound like it's a big amount and it might be good if you split them twice or more per transaction.  Regarding the fee, that's natural, even blockchain transaction has a fee, there's nothing free today upon moving your fund.
884  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Gambling Companies and Bitcoin on: September 20, 2022, 11:54:47 PM
IMO, using Bitcoin in a regulated gambling casino/website isn't a problem, as long as they followed the certain regulation of the chosen jurisdictions where they get a license that operates legally which is very notable and popular in the Curacao iGaming jurisdiction that didn't prohibit cryptocurrencies.

Some countries aren't legalizing Bitcoin but they regulate people who use it, those who used centralized exchange may experience a heavy KYC requirements process.
885  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What is happening with Crypto market on: September 20, 2022, 11:39:12 PM
The current market is very out of control. In such a situation of the market, every investor has a problem now. From such a high level the market has come down to the lowest level it has become a very expressive language in the mind of every human being. Why the market is going from so bad is really something to think about. Will the market ever recover?
Of course, it is.
It has been proven for how many bear market seasons passed but that there's always a new ATH come.  The problem is why the bear market becomes struggling to recover because of those newbies that keep panicking, sometimes those FUD continue to spread which makes other people panic.

But anyway, that's right, everything in crypto is unpredictable but if you'll look around, Bitcoin has already established its name and becomes trusted that supported in any e-commerce business which is very useful and I don't think there's a reason the market fall down.
886  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Tips that could help crypto beginners. on: September 20, 2022, 11:28:03 PM
2: spread your digital asset portfolio over several digital assets such as BTC, ETH and other Altcoins.
And other altcoins?
People should be careful about this, it might be considered if people will stay on Bitcoin investment because it's safe, not on random altcoins which have the potential of losing your funds very high.

Crypto isn't a quick investment scheme, there's no promising time for this when you'll get a profit, it's talk about "patience" that you have.
If you want an investment low risk it could be Bitcoin and wait until it will reach a new ATH.
887  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: More details of bitcoin address on: September 19, 2022, 11:20:46 PM
If you're willing to spend another amount of money, you can reach out this company, Chainalysis.com.  I don't know how much it cost and also the percentage that you'll recover your lost fund.  One thing that I know is their experts tracing a blockchain transaction that could be the scammer's identity will unmask.

Sorry for your loss, hope that you've learned from this mistake and that won't happen again.
Think it twice before sending your crypto into another wallet, remember always that once the transaction has been confirmed, it's irreversible.
888  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Crypto wallets have a long way to go on: September 19, 2022, 10:59:36 PM

Solution

Why haven't we seen crypto wallets that disconnect from platforms on their own after minutes of inactivity, it's easier for users to forget to disconnect after successful trans.
A hardware wallet has a security feature that didn't leave any footprint after use and I think even if you'll forget to disconnect it will automatically be disconnected to any device that you use.  I tend to agree with this that there are software wallets that didn't have this feature.

Sometimes our consciousness will lead from the hack if we aren't knowledgeable enough because we're confident of what we're doing even just writing it down on a piece of paper but we know how to keep it in a safe place.  Being paranoid won't help you to keep your private key safe and your wallet.
889  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Someone Sent Me Some Coins, Could Be A Mistake on: September 18, 2022, 11:33:24 PM
Update:

Someone said it could be a phishing attempt in the comment. It's not. I have actually checked the exchange wallet and the fund is there.
Make sure you didn't click the link that was sent to your email, it could be a fishing link that could be hacked your exchange account and might get your account information.  But you already checked it and if nothing happens you'll be fine.

Quote
If you were in my shoes, what would you do?
You can withdraw the fund from the exchange to your non-custodial wallet and after that, you might contact the CS of that exchange and ask where the funds come from and you'll return it once it's confirmed the real owner via the sender's address.

Yes, possible this happen and it could be a coincidence.  Copy-pasting and send without checking the right address.
890  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETC to $100 soon? on: September 18, 2022, 11:18:52 PM
It might be good if there's a specific time for this, not "soon".

With the continuous improvement and developments of ETC right now, there's no doubt that it will reach that high amount but might not go up high to more than $100 this year if many investors will believe in ETC.  It could be below $100 this year and it will keep growing by next year.

IMO, ETC is a good and potential investment and of course, only invest what you can afford to lose.

I've read this article it seems the prediction was very closely related.

891  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Few crypto thoughts of the day on: September 18, 2022, 10:57:00 PM
1. The minimum deep that BTC dived to was 17,500$ do you still think we are going below 13,000$? If yes please explain.
IMO, it will not drop further beyond $15k, though Bitcoin now has been struggling to increase the price I believed it will not down too much this year.  As we noticed the adoption has been widely spread and not only that, some countries started legalizing Bitcoin.  So possible there's an increase and this time we're on the correction stage that might possibly will trigger to become pump after this year.

Quote
2. Does it matter if you build a crypto portfolio at 15k per BTC or 10k per BTC.
Price doesn't matter at all, if you invested at the $20k price range, never sell under that price, because if the price falls down and you have 1 Bitcoin, it will remain 1 Bitcoin and nothing will be a loss, not unless if you sell at the lowest price from where you purchase.

Quote
3. In 2020 covid was the reason why BTC crumbled to 3,500$ what will happen in 2023 that will bring the same deep dive to crypto market.
This isn't true, during that time, Bitcoin wasn't affected by covid-19.
Though we know that Bitcoin price is unpredictable and for sure there's also no infinite growth but I believed new ATH will always come, just wait for it.

4. Crypto keeps looking stronger every year, it's getting more recognised and big players of the world are saying BTC is a better store of value than the dollar for long term, are they right.
Then at least you open your eyes here, it's indeed holding a long term will be the best way to make a profit.
892  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Crypto agents on the increase on: September 18, 2022, 10:43:19 PM
What will you like to add  to this?
Stop promoting obvious scam project campaigns.

Everything that's related to a financial service there's always prone to scams.
The pump and dump scheme which is a very common kind of scam still exists nowadays because there are a lot of greedy people who are looking to take advantage of the market.

There are a bunch of scams that we should be avoided and they always have an advantage if you're knowledgeable about everything that you wanted to invest in.  DYOR is still the best practice when you're new to in investing crypto.
893  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Manipulation looks like on: September 18, 2022, 10:23:47 PM
This isn't new in the crypto world and most of them are those new projects, and their token becomes a pump and dump because it's manipulated.
That's why we should look closely at what we invested, investigations are a must because investing in crypto is very crucial, there are too many big players that wanted to play the market to gain profit.

This kind of project sometimes has investment schemers reap a large amount of profit by making poor investors becomes a loser because of manipulating the market.

Remember how Elon Musk manipulated the market before?
894  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Is it safe to save USDT and BUSD on binance for long term? on: September 17, 2022, 11:59:37 PM
Hardware wallets would be good at the all-time upon saving your crypto assets safe.

Though Binance offers SAFU it doesn't mean your fund is totally safe, there are still frozen accounts that may happen and suddenly increase the KYC requirements, and failure to comply which means you can't withdraw your fund.  SAFU thing is just a marketing promotion of them.

I suggest not storing your coins in the Binance wallet for the long term.  As I repeatedly said that the golden rule of crypto is "Not your keys, Not your coins".  Centralized exchange wallet is very crucial to store in the longterm, they have full control over your fund.
895  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will you buy a token if its price never went up and you could never sell it? on: September 17, 2022, 11:48:11 PM
A potential token that has a utility maybe.
IMO, that depends on the token and its potential, it might be 10% of your capital would be an ideal amount to invest and take a risk, tokens are very speculative and risky to invest.

If that token is backed by the community and has utility, it would be worth it, but if that's because it's a hype token and went down, that's useless.
896  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcoin as an electronic currency, can it be use for bet gambling on: September 17, 2022, 11:34:11 PM
As an electronic currency, I will like to know if bitcoin can be use in sport betting, apart from using your local currency, can I found my sport bet account using bitcoin.
In this section Bitcoin Forum > Economy > Marketplace > Gambling, there are a lot of them.
AFAIK and I used this before, Sportsbet.io is a sportsbook gambling platform that has a reputation that has been here in the forum for how many years in business, promoting and having ads here.

The number one reason why people/gamblers use this is because of the privacy and security, it might not ideal to link your bank account in any online gambling casino, so instead, use Bitcoin.
897  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto regulation in the EU and the USA on: September 17, 2022, 10:45:49 PM
It's already expected that there's a regulation on crypto and ain't surprise by that, we know the government has been always combating fraud and money laundering and that's how to protect people against fraud.  But using crypto under government regulation isn't a problem if you're not hiding something illegal transactions that happen.

It's not really crypto being culled, it's the exchanges. There are still methods for people to transfer outside of exchanges (p2p)

I'm not tech savvy, but I am here to learn about these methods.
Feel free to send a link with more info about this, or a PM.
Here it is, [BIG LIST] Buy/Sell Crypto (OTC, P2P, DEXs, CEXs, NO-KYC, ATMs, etc.).
P2p exchange doesn't require a KYC which for sure you're totally unregulated per every transaction.
898  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What Payment Processors are being used Globally? on: September 15, 2022, 11:58:38 PM
The sole purpose was to defeat the financial institution and now Bitcoin has become a commodity. Credit and source can be found in the image bottom.
No, that wasn't the purpose of Bitcoin, even of the Bitcoin roadmap, it wasn't there to defeat the financial institution system instead, it's an alternative to fiat.
We can't compare Bitcoin to any centralized payment processors, they are centralized which means under control and monitored by the government, they are also can be linked to the bank or to your bank account and while Bitcoin can't.  They're helping e-commerce companies more easily accept online transactions, though Bitcoin did that, but since it's not regulated it can't compete with any payment processor.

I didn't doubt Visa and Mastercard were the leading Payment Processor.
899  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How To Become A Profitable Trader with stop loss and trailing stop loss on: September 14, 2022, 12:00:01 AM
People think, stop loss must be used to avoid from the loss. But it’s not a true way of escape from the loss. When you had fix the stop loss,it will prevent from the more Loss. But when the market was back to the bull run,the order will be placed with minimum profit. Then it will skip you from gaining more profit from it.It only leads to less amount of profit from your investment using stop loss.
Perhaps, stop-loss is not designed to make a profit but as a way to save from losing more.
Fees/commissions are mostly what we struggled with in most exchanges. That is why I was still confident and I see that spot trading is more profitable than scalping. In fact, I've even tried scalping in the past and yes, we might not make losses but because of the fees, that is something that beats us.
I tend to agree with this.  Stop-loss(SL) is to avoid further loss, not a strategy that you can use to gain profit.
This is very useful when you're in day trading, it very crucial there when it comes to making a profit.

Through this stop-loss even though you're in scalping and spot trading still is very useful.
There are a bunch of strategies that you can use but it seems the most important thing is SL.
900  Economy / Marketplace / Re: What do you buy/want to buy with crypto? on: September 13, 2022, 11:49:46 PM
It's currently at 176 votes and 9.4k views. Cheesy
But you only got 5 votes here including mine (I voted others), which means people here didn't want to spend their Bitcoin for those things above.  They want to store value and convert it when there's an increase in the market, this was what holders usually do.

For more context, we've made a platform where people can buy and sell physical goods with crypto. We're currently trialling it as a private BETA in Melbourne, Australia, and now, we're looking to open our service up a bit more to the public. We'd love to hear from the community so we know what cool new products to add next!
That sounds good project, an online store merchant that only accepts Bitcoin.
An e-commerce platform that provides customers with an easy, secure, and fast online shopping experience through crypto payment and fulfillment support, is this how your project works?
