1  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Whitelist Requests (Want out of here?) on: May 20, 2013, 05:08:27 AM
I currently have an "invite-only" with some parts being open to the public but still BETA bitcoin related company.  It is, under US law, considered an MSB - or Money Services Business - I help users access the $USD value of their bitcoins through means other than the traditional ACH bank transfer or having to deal with individuals on forums.  I have 10 years eCommerce experience and before eCommerce I worked for a large financial institution where I did AML training for corporate customers - AML being Anti-Money Laundering.

I want to interact with other Bitcoin users, ask questions, answer questions, get feedback, hear opinions, etc.. so that when it's time to fully open 100% of my business to the public I will know for certain I am doing it in a way that Bitcoin users will like and feel comfortable with.  And, as icing on the cake, I'll be able to say "I learned it all from Bitcointalk.org!"

ALSO,
My business partner and I are looking to invest $25,000 and $10,000 into two types of startups.  $25,000 into a startup that sells pre-built Bitcoin mining rigs, and $10,000 into a company that already sells pre-built rigs but needs a little help getting off of the ground.  If I had full access to the forums I would be able to connect with potential small businesses and/or individuals with great ideas so that I can properly invest into the Bitcoin community.

As someone with a HUGE financial background and a decade of eCommerce experience, I can't begin to say how exciting it has been to learn about Bitcoins over the last month!

Who can help me to make a bet?

Thank you in advance!

I doubt anybody who can will be reading this or posting here.  Once you're allowed full forum access there's little-to-no incentive for other users to come visit the Newbie forum anymore.

The mods should set another CRON job / automated rule that says once you've been granted full access you need to come reply to 1 newbie thread per month.  This would get plenty of established users coming back from where they started to help other Newbies

replies like this one should surely count. Otherwise I would expect a large amount of threads being opened and few being replied to.

Yeah I think the rules for such a low required post count but somewhat high in comparison online time of 4 hours are only meant to keep people from registering new accounts rapidly for spam and trolling or to prevent automated software, like XRUMER, from making accounts to spam automatically.

It's a CRON job that checks every 10 minute so if you just made your required number of posts, it may not have automatically updated yet.

Bitcoinmonitor's API structure is eerily similar to Coinbase.com - I know for a fact that Coinbase.com's API was giving HTTP 401 error codes last night and today.  This has got to be related to coinbase's issues
7  Other / Beginners & Help / Moneygram "cash in hand" Transfers AND Money Order "cash by mail" BitXCash.com on: May 14, 2013, 09:30:39 PM
Hi Fellow BitCoinTalk newbies!  Our company is currently slowly implementing various "cash transfer" options at our Money Service Business, which is backed by Bitcoin.  We are mostly invite-only but currently offer Moneygram Cash Transfers and Money Order Cash By Mail options open to the public.  Since we are slowly introducing everything, it seems fitting that we slowly introduce it to the newbies over here before going full-steam elsewhere on the board.

Bitcoin Cash Transaction Services Open To The Public:
  • Moneygram Cash-in-hand Transfers
  • Money Order Cash-By-Mail

To give you guys an idea of what's coming in the next couple of weeks, here are some of our "invite only" options that will be open to the public in the coming days and weeks.
  • Cashiers Checks
  • Western Union
  • Wire Transfers
  • Bill & Utility Payments
  • Visa Pre-Paid Gift Cards
  • Misc. Gift Cards
  • Charity & Donations

All of the services above will become available one-by-one every couple of days.  We hope to have everything out of 'invite only' mode and open to the public all within the next 5-10 days!

The reason for the wait is to give our machine-based fraud detection time to "learn" what proper transactions look like.

I left my career in finance over a decade ago to invest in many tech startups.  With my strong finance background it was only a matter of time before I got involved with botcoin.  I used to train MSBs or Money Service Businesses in Anti-Money Laundering techniques and proper accounting, taxes, etc..  I'm excited to announce my very own MSB based on Bitcoin!

My services are at http://BitXCash.com
