1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If Facebook releases coins, how much does this cost? on: March 03, 2018, 06:37:17 PM
Some people are crazy about trading coins and they are waiting Facebook to launch their cryptocurrency, it is reality?
It is still a rumor unless Facebook CEO would announce that they will launch an ICO. I just don't know what approach or what project are they going to make to  have an added value  in the community.
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I lost 2/3 of my initial investment on: February 27, 2018, 11:00:40 AM
Hey,

Long story short, I started with $3000 almost 4 months ago and now I'm down to $960.

I lost $200-$300 while learning, the rest was from cryptocurrencies crashing, and of course my mistakes.

Two days ago I wanted to ride the Nano train and bought in with all of my $1400 literally at its peak, followed by a colossal drop.

Then, I went all in on Vechain because of the upcoming rebranding, plus I originally purchased it when it was sub $3, but never kept it. Needless to say, it went down by 12%.

So currently I have $960 and I am feeling down that I am losing this battle and won't be able to stay a part of the history we are making.

I haven't bought into ETH, LTC, BTC because with my $1000 I would be getting nothing in return, even if they grew crazy. Any recommendations would be highly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

If you are  newbie in trading, better stick on altcoins that has a stable price and have a huge community. I would recommend Ethereum, NEO, Monero and Litecoin for starters. Once you get a profit, diversify it to other new altcoins that has a potential to get more than 100% profit. Remember that your goal is to get profit whether it is 10% or 20% in a month. It is  still profit. What I see is you lose because of greed. It is useless if you get  500% today and lose 1000% by tomorrow.
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you truly believe in cryptocurrency on: February 23, 2018, 03:20:04 AM
Seems like most people just want to become super rich in a short period of time.
If you don't believe in this new technology, and just want to earn quick money, I think you will probably not achieve what you want.
All I want to say is be patient, live your life, and don't get too emotional by all the negative news/FUD. Yes, crypto might be ended in a really bad way and you lose most/all your money. But if you truly believe in the new technology, just invest the projects you like the most and hold until it gets mature and returns.

Yes we believe in cryptocurrency as it is the next big thing that will happen in the history of mankind and will change the way we live because it will disrupt many industry like financial, education, government and so much more.
4  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Trezor or Ledger? on: February 05, 2018, 04:20:26 PM
Ledger because it has more supported altcoins and cheaper than Trezor. Though this two hardware are both secure and reliable, it is up to you which one you like best in terms of design.
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: which alts should i buy now? on: February 05, 2018, 10:07:07 AM
I suggest to add Monero, Cardano and NEO becuse it has a good team and supported with big community. I also encourage yo to do your own research before buying certain coin to avoid or lessen the risk of getting lose.
6  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can we all please accept.. on: February 05, 2018, 03:13:13 AM
Accept the fact that most of governments will oppose crypto currency. Obviously there are some countries who have decided to embrace the future, but let's face it, most of governments will stand against. Who likes their currency to be weaken? Every time a stupid country opposes bitcoin, there is so much fud and a great price drop.

China bans mining

South Korea will not ban crypto but obviously does not welcome it

India banning crypto

I fully expected this resistance from governments.

Don't be surprised if more countries come out against bitcoin
But you know the fact that they will have to accept it later whether they like it or not because Blockchain is the future. They can suppress it for a while but they can never prevent it from growing.
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Rate my portfolio! :) (result from my analysis so you can benefit from this) on: February 02, 2018, 07:44:49 PM
It is better if you have Ethereum and Bitcoin in your portfolio because this two giants are the one that dominates the market.
8  Other / Meta / Re: Merit & new rank requirements on: January 30, 2018, 09:45:07 AM
This kind of system is unfair to the community. Why?

1. Only the higher ranks have the ability to give more merits than the lower rank.
2. Majority of the members will tends to abuse it. (Give me a merit and i'll give yours in your alt account).
3. It will only create another offense or another SCAM for buying and selling Merits.
4. Many quality post specially low ranks are taken for granted ( and i know this comment will taken for granted by many because this is a newbie account) unless you know the person or the account holder.
5. Demerit also needs to be implemented to create a balance  if @Theymos is really serious of eradicating shit posting or spam.

I DARE those so called Legendary and Heroes  to agree with me if you have BALLS enough (only people who have BALLS will quote and agree) and you are really serious to eliminate shit posters.

I'm also calling all DT's to agree with me and lets finish this shit posting for good.

I would give you a merit or two but I don't have them Smiley I have just two questions for you: are you serious about the point 5? You really think someone is bothered by spam posts? This system is conceived to slow down the growth of the forum and to separate the upper class from the commons like us (which is not such a bad thing, if you ask me - these guys have created this forum, answered so many questions and did so many favors to juniors that they deserved to be the upper class, kings, Gods, or whatever they like to be).

The math is simple:
cause everyone can give only the half of the merits they get - half of the people will advance to the upper levels (most probably even much less, cause merits will tend to group together around certain people or groups) And that's just the first round. If we all had, let's say 100 merits to give to each other, in the next round we will have only 50, then 25, then 12, 6, 3, 1 and at the end - nothing. So, basically, by introducing this system of descending number of merits that never renew in the hands of the commons, the forum is locked and can be unlocked only by the mercy of Gods. And then, if you like to advance, only a God can help you with that Cheesy It doesn't have anything with the quality of the posts, the quality will remain the same, of course, only the posts of the commons will sound more stupid, empty-headed, and God-fearing (or this is a pleonasm, in fact, because these three are the same?) because people usually tend to adjust to the system when it's forced upon them Smiley

And the second question about the point number 3: guess once who has the unlimited number of merits to sell Smiley (again: I support that, they deserved it)
Hail to Gods ('cause they give merits) and cheers to commons ('cause they've made blockchain and this forum and Gods possible)!
yes you and your math is right but i think you forgot about merit source
read this
and this is written in the first post of this thread by moderator
"Certain users are designated as "merit sources". They can create new merit out of nothing, up to a limited number per month (which differs per source). I will not be posting a definitive list of merit sources (so that people don't bug them too much), though you'll soon figure out who they are if you pay attention."
there are more info about merit source in the first post on this thread
and there explains well that how you can be a merit source
Yes i am dead serious with Demerit because if it is implemented, No one dares even a high rank that will try to spam or create shit posting ever. They will think first and edit all the things that they will post or comment in every thread. if i where to @Theymos i rather make the ACTIVITY or POST = MERIT   to be fair with all ranks and DEMERIT will be the guide which post or comments are spam or shitpost. In demerit section there should be a reason why this post gets a demerit. You need to directly address the problem not create another problem.

Your challenge here is a bit much, and likely has the opposite effect.  In reality, I should just ignore you rather than even quoting anything... even though you made some decent other points, but your points are not the be all end all, there are a lot of ways of framing matters, and there is not ONLY ONE way of looking at things, which happen to be your own way.  Get a grip.   Roll Eyes    Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy  (see trying to find some humor in your nonsensical attempt at seriousness).
Are you afraid of Demerit because you might end up becoming a Jr Member because of your posting or you don't have enough BALLS to agree?

EDIT:
Looks like my comment is misunderstood

ACTIVITY or POST = MERIT (to be fair with all ranks)

DEMERIT will be deducted to Merit and can only be used for spam post and shitpost ( the section should have a reason for giving demerit)
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Good time to buy ETH now? on: January 21, 2018, 07:35:28 PM
Hi guys,

do you think it's a good time to buy ETH now? Price seems to be kinda low, but I'm not sure what to expect from ETH during the upcoming weekend & the aug1-happening after..
Do you think it's better to wait a few days...?

I hope  you buy Ethereum the moment you read the comments. If you buy early i am sure that you are very happy with the result of being optimistic and believing in Ethereum.
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which Altcoins You Bought On This Dip on: January 18, 2018, 05:49:25 PM
I bought Basic Attention Token, Cardano, Ethereum and Sphere  and got a good profit from this coin. I hope you also bought some good coins that pumps earlier.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you still support Ethereum? on: January 18, 2018, 07:47:25 AM
I have no reason why i shouldn't support  Ethereum. It gives me good profit even their promising tokens gives good profit too. You can't go wrong knowing this coin is the 2nd in coinmarketcap.
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 1 ETH - should buy alt or hold on to it on: January 15, 2018, 05:23:40 AM

I have seen so many alt coins that were cheaper and I was holding on to ETH thinking  it will pave out. I wish i bought altcoins with it as that would got me some profits.

For e.g

I was watching VERGE xvg recently when it was less than 1 cent. today it is 25 cents. I wish that I had invested in it when My gut  instincts was for it.

Did not want to loose the only ether as i lost my Previous eth in Confido scam. Please advise.

If you are holding Ethereum right now i guess you are happy with the result of keeping it. Bitcoin and Ethereum might be very slow in terms of profit compared to other altcoin out there but they have the most stable price. You may lose a little but not 100% or more compared to other altcoins.
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why BitConnect will destroy crypto on: January 15, 2018, 02:36:45 AM
Somehow this kind of ponzi will destroy crypto because other people think that all crypto is a ponzi. Other Entities will also took this opportunity to ride on the negative news for their own gains specifically bankers and people who are involved in stocks and Forex trade.
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Can ETH reach BTC value ? on: January 14, 2018, 04:06:14 PM
Just wondering if ETH can
No, it will not over take the price of bitcoin because bitcoin is the pioneer of all altcoin, it has lesser supply than Ethereum and it has more solid community. 2nd to bitcoin is not bad enough position in cryptocurrency.
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Buy and Hold 100 Cryptocurrencies for 5 Years – Official Thread on: January 12, 2018, 11:50:08 AM
It is  good idea but if I am going to do this i will stick to top 30 coins in coinmarket to lessen the the time for monitoring.
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Etherium crazy growth!!! on: January 10, 2018, 12:15:34 PM
It is a natural growth. In fact i am expecting the price to triple this year alone. The scenario would be like a bitcoin. The moment you sell, it turns out that you will regret it later.
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: will Altcoins Survive on: January 09, 2018, 12:10:53 PM
Only those who have a good community, solid project and good team behind the project will endure the bullish trend of bitcoin. Those who have no solid project will decrease its value in terms of bitcoin value.
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Etherdelta Token sale, will you buy it? on: January 05, 2018, 02:31:14 PM
yes, etherdelta have a crowdsale
maybe i want buy some
i think this coin have a future because have an exchanger with big market traffic

they are hacked repeatedly every year.
this stock market only uses useless coins. it is not a big stock market. volumes are low and constantly giving problems, no need to buy that coin Wink
If the coin they are selling would be unique and can be used in the near future, i think it is worth to buy it. But if the coin they are selling is just a crap just like the majority of coins on their list, i think you are wasting your precious ETH.
