Hello can anyone help me with a master node guide? Thanks

We just released the BETA version of our Masternode install script (works with Ubuntu 16.04 as root):

Why choosen lyra2v2 algo for mining? Why not improved algo lyra2REv2?

It is the same: the algorithm in use is Lyra2rev2 which is the same as Lyra2v2.

There have been a lot of requests to activate the masternodes sooner in Discord. Because of this, we have launched a poll in the #announcements channel of the discord to vote on activating on December 21st. Please join the Discord and vote!

Another coin with masternodes, i asked this question but no one answered me and i'm sorry for being an ignorant in the term "masternodes", what will be the benefits of using masternodes and how it differ from a plain staking?

There is no need to apologize, it is a good question.

Masternodes provide important functions for the network, the two primary ones being cloaking (coin mixing) and instant send transaction locking. They also help govern the blockchain by relaying transactions and blocks.

Masternode operators will also be allowed to vote on proposed projects. Projects that get a majority of YES votes by masternode owners will receive ORE to accomplish their project.

A masternode require 1000 ORE as collateral to run. That 1000 ORE can sit safely offline in your cold storage wallet while the masternode runs online. Masternodes are usually hosted on a VPS (virtual private server) provider such as DigitalOcean, Vultr or Linode.

We'll have guides up soon on how to set up masternodes. You can also join the Discord chat and we can help you get your masternode setup.

Galactrum is an experimental new blockchain that is autonomous, resiliant, self-governing
and self-funding. Mining Galactrum ORE is ASIC-resistant and favors GPUs. Payments and
transfers are backed by secure cryptographic proofs. Galactrum is based on proven technology
from Bitcoin and Dash such as blockchain, masternodes, coin mixing and transaction locking.

Anyone can participate in the further development, enhancement and outreach of Galactrum by
submitting a proposal. Proposals are written and voted on directly in the blockchain, making the
Galactrum DAO censorship resistant and transparent.

Algorithm: Lyra2v2 (ASIC-resistant)
Block Time: 120 seconds (2 minutes)
Block Reward: 10 ORE decreasing 50% every 5 years
PoW end: 337000
PoS start: 337001
