101  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker - Hardcore on: June 10, 2013, 09:24:16 PM
i'm not crazy i'm telling you 180$ in about 2 weeks time, deal with it  Kiss

we are stuck between 23.6% and 32.8% retracement and you plan $180^^ without massive good news that's rly hard to imagine ..  Cheesy

I'm bullish, but may I have some of what you're smoking? cause unless Amazon/Walmart/Target/Newegg/McDonalds decide to start taking BTC, I don't see 180 anytime soon (soon= june/july)

Actually just Walmart would do it. Can you imagine the ArvestBitmartATM? (grin)

"Graphics Cards (GPU) – $1,200 to $1,600 I use four of the Sapphire Radeon HD 7970 at $400/ea or four of the Sapphire Radeon 7950 at $320/ea in each rig. This one with a stock cooler works also, and can be had for only $280 (after mail in rebate). One of the Amazon reviews for the $280 card, shows specific settings for Litecoin mining which is helpful. To answer the 7970 (~$420) vs 7950 (~$320) question, basically, the 7970 gets roughly 100-150 more Mh/s or Kh/s than the 7950 for higher hashing density per rig (see bitcoin mining hardware comparison and litecoin mining hardware comparison). I couldn’t decide either and ended up buying both types for my rigs. Either card will work great in this mining rig build."

103  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: The reason for the 5 posts/4 hrs rule on: June 07, 2013, 01:15:56 AM
It's no big deal. Spam your 5 posts in the newbie area replying to hello posts.  Then go to hardware and read up on how to setup your own miner (researching the parts and costs) until you find out that the gpu cards are being obsoleted by ASIC miners that you're in too late to get in on. That'll take about 4 hours. (grin)

How much of the network hashing power is gpu or cpu? Cause when asics are taking over, probably all cpu/gpu and even fpga miners will stop mining?
So when asics take over, how much of the "old" power will dissapear?

Not so much disappear as switch to mining Litecoin and any other altcoin that uses Scrypt. At least until(if) FPGA's can do the same thing to altcoin mining that ASIC's are doing to bitcoin mining.

I'm definitely not in it for the money. I'm in it for the cryptocurrencies. (grin)

111  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How could bitcoin be used to address civil rights issues with the gay community? on: June 05, 2013, 03:40:41 AM
Oh well that's a much simpler question to answer: The same way bitcoin can be used to address civil rights issues with the rest of the community. With the same equality of rights, responsibilities, expectations and liberties. Exactly the same as everyone else. IMHO. (grin)
112  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How could bitcoin be used to directly benefit the gay community? on: June 05, 2013, 03:36:28 AM
I agree.  It isn't about dividing people, but about segmenting the market to take advantage of unique niches. Buying kitten food with bitcoins or sponsoring a gay pride march etc...
Or the couple that runs a bed and breakfast, or any other business or institution that accepts donations, funding, or payment accepting bitcoin. And happens to be a member of the LGBT community. And can advertise to the LGBT community that not only are they members, but they accept bitcoin as a form of payment. profit! (grin)

...My old lady likes vagina just as much as I do, and she'll be checking out the hot women and the room right along with me. Is that sexist, too?

I don't know whether to say TMI or tell me more. This is a very interesting forum.

Actually I think it's the other way around. Bitcoin can benefit from being used by the LGBT community.  Smiley

120  Economy / Speculation / Re: When to sell Bitcoin? on: June 04, 2013, 07:54:09 PM
...Face it, majority of bitcoins popularity is due to fantasies of flying G6's bought with money BTC made them. And majority of talk about adoption is to rise the price to get closer to private planes.

Yeah. They be acting like they drunk. http://youtu.be/GvgJEznqtms
