Triaconta is voluntarily acquiring regulatory approval
Dear CombiCoin holders,
Ever since we launched CombiCoin in August of 2017 we have been in contact with the Dutch Authority of Financial Markets (AFM). During these past 6 months we’ve had several meetings to discuss if and how our activities fall under their supervision.
The answer to this question is still unclear. Regulations for the cryptocurrency market will be coming sooner rather than later. Waiting for new rules and regulations would possibly harm CombiCoin holders in the future and since we do not want that we decide to take immediate action. We will voluntarily acquire regulatory approval by the AFM.
By making sure Triaconta complies with AFM regulations CombiCoin should be able to grow in the future without legal constraints. Complying with AFM regulations will provide more reliability for current and new participants. We expect regulatory approval leads to a faster growth of CombiCoin sales which also benefits all TRIA Token holders.
CombiCoins sales temporarily suspended
Awaiting regulatory approval we will temporarily close the sales of CombiCoin. We expect the sales of CombiCoin to reopen within 2 months, but this also depends on the AFM.
Everyone that recently filled out the form will be processed normally and will still receive their CombiCoins.
What will change for CombiCoin holders?
Absolutely nothing! This will not have any impact on CombiCoin token, the value of CombiCoin or CombiCoin holders. The result of the restructuring will be positive because these regulations ensure that CombiCoin holders are better protected under Dutch and European law.
Selling your CombiCoins
Because we want to acquire regulatory approval by the AFM we have decided to postpone listing of CombiCoin on an exchange.
To still be able to deliver on our promise, we will launch a buyback program on our website on the 8th of February 2018. CombiCoin holders will be able to sell their CombiCoins directly to us for the value at that moment. The exact details and the tutorials how to do this will be shared in the coming weeks.
What will change for TRIA Token holders?
The monthly profit share for TRIA token holders is depended on buying and selling CombiCoins by Triaconta. Because the sale of CombiCoins is temporarily suspended, the profit payouts will be lower. Revenues generated from the buyback program will be shared with TRIA Token holders.
We will update all CombiCoin holders on ongoing affairs in the CombiCoin weekly newsletter.

This is actually great news...for sure on the long term: CombiCoin could be the first and only regulated Crypto Index Fund. And with regulated, I mean EU regulated...not an exotic island or an obscure country license. No fear for all-in, anymore... |

So if I buy Combicoin, my performance is related to the performance of Top 30 coins? But why would I want to do that if I could just as easily spread all my holdings into the top 30 coins? Yes, it may be that I become loaded with burdens of maintaining wallets, but then if I did Top 30, I could exit from the best performing ones and realize profit, while holding onto the others.
I feel it is a good concept, but the risk of Combicoin running away with my money seems too large. Plus, how do we know for sure they invest in top 30 coins and not extra coins we do not know about? Good idea but I need more convincing.
Indivudually buying the 30 coins yourself is indeed a good/better thing to do...if you're willing to and able to. CombiCoin is definitly for those who want this done for them with one transaction, one exchange and one wallet. Also the top 30 is selected with some solid criteria...so while they may actually miss great oppurtunities, they also analyse a coin before submitting it to the potfolio. Again...but if you don't want to follow that hype, this slick ICO or that pump-and-dump coin, trying to get verified in x exchanges...but still want a solid and steady rising crypto investment, with less risk: Buy CombiCoin. Now. Diversify your portfolio and your invesment risk. Regarding second part of your post: Also true. They are working on a new website and the promise is that they will publish the address/wallets holding the actual assests. For now...it is a leap of faith, indeed. |

It is ALWAYS a good buy no matter how much up it already has gone...as long as you believe the Top 30 coins alltogether will still keep going up!
The value/price is determined by the value/price of Bitcoin, Litecoin, Dash, Bitcoin Cash, Ripple etc.
Do you expect one or more of these (30) coins to keep rising...? If yes, than it's still worth it.
If this crypto thing is actually a bubble...CombiCoin will only burst if this bubble itsel will burst: it's fully backed by these 30 coins.

Here are some problems that people seem to have overlooked.
1) It has been ages since the team started, yet the coin is STILL unavailable on any major exchanges.
2) All the stats that you see on the official website may just be mere numbers but not actual value of all the coins.
3) The communication is terrible, I compare it with a few other ICOs I participated in. Telegram channel is one way.
4) The Combicoins's value is 0$ on etherscan and the sender's address is: 0x0000000000000000000000000000000000000000
5) No official updates on major developments, just random numbers and nothing solid.
Until I am proven wrong, I would advise to stay away. I regret having risked and gone to buy Combicoins.

Edit: Possible reason for it not being on any exchanges is because it allows the team to continue selling scamcoins since if it went on any major exchange the price of the coin would define its existence and would be self-evident.
It is communicated at the very beginning that COMBI will be on one (or more) exchnages from jan/feb 2018. I have had some contact with the team...and I personally think it's all legit. And the concept is not rocket science...it just simply genius and it's working for everyone as long as cryptocurrencies exist (and rise in value). I agree that the communication and marketing could and should be better. But I have it rather this way than a slick and smooth blabla communicating so-called PR shit. PS: I am more worried about EtherDelta being hacked...does that effect in anyway TRIA/COMBI? |

WHY STILL GAMBLE with Cryptocurrency?Maybe for the fun and thrills? You got me there: I like (or used) to gamble also and the thrills and the fun of (Bitcoin) gambling is still...unbeaten. But for any other reason like doubling, trippling...or even 10x winning back your investment/stake...why would you still want to gamble that? The chances/odds are bigger that you will loose them gambling...while the chances/odds are the same (probably bigger) that you would increase them while investing. Why not 'bet' on any cryptocurrency of your choice? - A new promising ICO.
- Or a coin you like.
- Or think is technically good.
- Or is hyped.
- Has a great name/logo/website.
Any reason is valid enough! The point is: You are 'guaranteed' to make more coins with investing in a coin...than actually gambling with that same amount. Just a reminder for those like me, who have bet and lost more than they would have (and still will) if they just invested that same amount! With crypto's being so volatile...the thrill and fun is still there also...but it is a bit less, yes. INVESTING IN (ALT)COINS IS THE NEW CRYPTO GAMBLING! PS: Aslo ignore this if you are a whale and can afford both, anyways

And the first bi-month re-balancing of the Top 30 has been completed:
BitConnect (BCC), Golem (GNT), MaidSafeCoin (MAID), TenX (PAY), Basic Attention Token (BAT) exit the Top 30 because they don't meet the selection criteria (anymore).
Very promising coins for 2018 enter the Top 30: NXT (NXT), Ardor (ARDR), MonaCoin (MONA), Populous (PPT), Cardano (ADA).
And as of today CombiCOin is a whopping 383% up since Nov the 7th!
