1  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: BETA: freebitcoins.com extension gives bitcoins to users. Get Access to Beta on: April 24, 2015, 11:57:11 PM
Hey all,

Sorry for not posting an update sooner. I've been slammed working on the site and will have all the old users moved over to the new backend. We are fixing some minor bugs on the extension before sending the beta out to users.

If you have any questions about what we're doing or have any suggestions, please reply or PM me.

Thanks for your time!

We purchased this domain a little over a month ago. The person previously running it was some German doing sketchy stuff with it. Is there anything I could do to  help build trust here? Im honestly just trying to build a cool fun site. Willing to make changes or provide proof of whatever you think is necessary.

Sorry on Mobil

Erm...
Where can i find the extension?

Also, any prevision on cashout being enabled?

Yes, we will have the payouts working once the site is finished.

Pm me your email and I can send you the extension with instructions and sites to visit. I would love any feedback!

Okay, responded. Not sure how to interpret that question..Perhaps you are asking why we have updated or perhaps a login question? The reason is that we wanted to create a more engaging experience for our users! Any login issues are due to the rigorous updates. It should be working again soon.
Thanks!

Thanks! The cashout feature has been temporarily paused until we fix some bugs and get some ads to pay for the bits.

Once it is functioning, you will have the choice of cashing out in bitcoin tied to the value of gold, silver, USD, BTC, etc. via Bitreserve. Stay tuned for updates!

Chrome EXTENSION for collecting free bitcoins while browsing online. PM for beta access.

Hello all,

I'm Zac at freebitcoins.com and my team and I created an extension that allows you to collect bits while browsing the internet.
A couple of sites have already been connected including bitcointalk, reddit, Google, overstock, facebook, twitter, and Bitreserve.org

Extension in action: http://imgur.com/dEjkM1H
Screens of extension and site: http://imgur.com/gallery/fdaOM/new

New freebitcoins.com soft launch now live! Lots of bugs ahead. Smiley Sending bitcoins out is currently disabled to prevent bankruptcy.

Bit rewards for playing flappy bird and a jenky slot machine for proof of concept.
Adding a section to "Get Bits" by performing random tasks. Our first attempt at monetizing.

Partners that will be included in the next update.
-Bitreserve: Working with them as an awesome way to store bitcoins and tie the value of your bitcoin to a precious metal or a fiat of your choice.
-Bitcoin Billionaire: One of the next games to be released in the "Game" section. The full title will be Bitcoin Billionaire Speed Run. It'll be a timed click game.
-I want to include other cool projects for exposure like coffee.foldapp.com, lawnmower.io, and zapchain.com. They all seem to be a fit for the amount of bits we are giving away.

Crowdfunder that went live about a week ago. Check it out and spread the word if you want to support what we are developing.
Here is the link: https://www.crowdfunder.com/freebitcoins-com/invest

Help us test the site and extension. Regular extension updates and early access to site additions will be provided to the users that contribute ideas and fixes.
We are also looking for anybody that enjoys developing simple flash and java games. PM for more details.

Next steps include further monetization with ads via Ad Fly and BuySellAds, more games, and extension development.

We are thinking of including short video ads after several rounds of game playing that would multiply the number of bits given. Also, we thought of deterring the use of Adblock by either immediately donating all bits or adding them to a pot to be raffled off at the end of each day/week while their Adblock targets our site. Cheesy

Any thoughts on simple online games to add as well as how to implement bits into them would be great.

We believe the extension is what sets us apart and it's what we are most excited to advance.
Right now it merely hands out bits to browse the internet, but we would love to incorporate a challenge and leveling up mechanic that feels rewarding.

Questions for you...

What do you think?

Where have we excelled? and failed?

Is this something you would share with your friends about?

Love it or hate it, I am looking forward to your feedback.

10  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN][beta] getBspendB - ANYTHING on Amazon 4% off fiat on: October 11, 2013, 09:44:27 PM
Q's from OP
    1. What kind of interaction did you expect on the home page?
    2. Affiliate program will probably be added once I can think of a good pay structure.
    3. Why would you want to view all orders at once? I want to avoid that as it would be more prone to people falsely     claiming they purchased too many items.
11  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN][beta] getBspendB - ANYTHING on Amazon 4% off fiat on: October 11, 2013, 09:43:07 PM
I have my first impression of the site.  It is quite simple and easy to move through.
(1) I expect the homepage will change in the future to be a bit more interactive and engaging because i hit the home button ALL the time on webpages. But it serves it purpose right now.

(2) The user tab is nice. I like how it is just my name in the corner. I like how it provides me with my account info right off the bat. All BTC values, USD conversion, and rating. I'm sure "feedback" will be clickable and allow me to see all corresponding users, comments, and ratings broken down in a useful format.
-With regards to the "invite friends" tab, I would make it an "Affiliates" tab. "Invite friends" can nest under that, as well as, various other links like facebook or twitter, or advertisement code and rates. etc.
-I really appreciate transaction history having its own space. Some very respected and mature BTC sites either have this important info hidden or dont provide it at all. Like BTCJam.com.
-My final critique today has to do with the lack of some sort of order book. I do like the search capability of specifying what amount I am willing to facilitate, but I wish I could view ALL open orders at once.

18  Economy / Economics / Re: Non-mandatory tx fees = "Benevolent" 51% attack cartel on: May 18, 2013, 04:49:59 AM
Why would the fee-charging miners go out of business? Wouldn't the fee-charging and non-fee-charging miners just coexist? If one large miner decides to confirm no-fee transactions instead of fee transactions, this will not economically incentivize the rest of the miners in any way, as far as I know.

This is spot on. The speculation of such an occurrence has very little foundation within a free market.  Smiley
