41  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Should I change from ETH+SIA to ETH+DCR on: October 31, 2017, 02:28:37 PM
Great! Thanks. So I will give it a try. Hope it will work well. By the way, which DCR pool have you been using? And are you using ethOS?

use yiimp pool
its better than the rest
in other pool you have to hit a threshold amount like 1 dcr to receive the amount
but not with yiimp

lbry is better than both by far

Did you mean that I should mine ETH+Lbry instead?

Am I the only with this problem? Huh Embarrassed
I'm having the same here, very low hashrate compare to previous days. Only ~130 of 180 are effective Sad

For my RX 570 cards I get around 26mh/s for ETH and 700-750mh/s for DCR, I was using 29 for -dcri.

Thanks. Do you know what will my hashrates be? Which value should I set for -dcri in Claymore setting?
45  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Should I change from ETH+SIA to ETH+DCR on: October 30, 2017, 10:53:52 PM
Hi guys, I've been mining with 6 Rx 570 Sapphire Nitro+ 4Gb. My current hashrate is 30 Mh/s and 440 Mh/s. Should I change to mine ETH and DCR?

Thanks!

Edited: I don't care about power consumption. My PSU is 1300W.
46  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: my vertical mining case/frame on: October 30, 2017, 12:12:22 AM

This sort of idea caught my eye a while back, it's not too dissimilar to the way Genesis Mining build their rigs:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FUs3Z1z0TvA

Looks like they are using Asrock Pro BTC boards with their own custom software/os on USB stick.

Wow, it's impressive, much smaller than my own rig on a rack. Do you guys know the dimensions or where we can buy such a rig like genesis' one?
47  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Very odd networking issue. Rigs take down internet?? on: October 26, 2017, 04:00:04 PM
I used to get internet problem while mining too. I was using ethOS at that time. The tx/rx were very high, the whole internet of my home went down, froze. I was hacked. The only solution then is to reimage my ethos ssd, restart modem, router, switch. Then the internet is back to normal. You seem having the same problem. Try to clear virus on your ssd or reimage it.

Which OS are you using? ethOS?

So could you please share us how much in total you spent, what you are mining, and how about your hashrate? Thanks.

Hi, I am having 2 D3 coming in Nov but we are in the US. Do you support our case?
Thanks.
51  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Bitmain looks like they're releasing a 15GH/s DASH miner called the AntMiner D3 on: October 25, 2017, 04:55:31 AM
New batch does 19.3 ghs at around 1200-1230 watts. During the day I turn it down a notch to 16 / 1000 watts to make them around 60-70 degrees celcius. I'm a happy camper thanks Bitmain!
Hi, how did you modify to get that the power and temp? Also, could you modify the fan speed to reduce the noise? How do you deal with noise?
Thanks a lot!
52  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Bitmain looks like they're releasing a 15GH/s DASH miner called the AntMiner D3 on: October 20, 2017, 09:32:23 PM
I'm getting one D3 in Nov. So were you able to change the fan speed to reduce the noise?
Actually just underclocked my oct batch (19.3) to keep running below 70. Running currently at 14k mh/s. 0HW so far.
Seems like at default settings it was running up too 80 and kept resetting itself for some reason after an hour or so.
53  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Socket was closed by pool - nanopool - ethos claymore on: October 20, 2017, 08:58:24 PM
I found the solution! Just remove -esm then it works now!
54  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Socket was closed by pool - nanopool - ethos claymore on: October 20, 2017, 08:22:12 PM
Hi guys, I have been looking for a solution but I still couldn't find one that work. So my error is as follow.
I'm using ethos, 6 rx 570. I have been working with ethermine with no problem in dual mining with sia in claymore. Today I wanted to switch to nanopool but I couldn't. I got the following error:
"Socket was closed by pool"
And 0 hashrate is reported.
When I tried to mine only eth in nanopool, I cleared claymore.stub.conf, it works. So, I think the problem is my claymore conf file when dual mining. Please have a look and advice me, I'm pretty new Sad

Here is my claymore conf file:

Code:
-colors 0
-dbg -1
-esm STRATUMTYPE
-epool eth-us-east1.nanopool.org:9999
-ewal MYWALLET
-epsw x
-eworker WORKER
-allpools 1
-gser 2
-allcoins 1
-wd 0
-ethi 16
#uncomment and configure the -dpool and -dwal lines below to enable dualmining.
-mode 0
-epool eth-us-east1.nanopool.org:9999
-ewal MYWALLET
-epsw x
-dpool stratum+tcp://us-east.siamining.com:7777
-dwal MYSIAWALLET
-dpsw x
-esm 1
-mode 0
-dcoin sia
-dcri 15

And my local.conf file:

Code:
globalminer claymore
maxgputemp 85
stratumproxy enabled
proxywallet MYWALLET
proxypool1 eth-us-east1.nanopool.org:9999
proxypool2 eth-us-west1.nanopool.org:9999
flags --cl-global-work 16387 --farm-recheck 200
globalfan 66

Thanks very much!
55  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Ethermine.org increased stale after fork on: October 20, 2017, 02:05:52 AM
I don't only get high stale share but also low effective (current) hashrate (reported 182 MHs, current ~140 150). Are you guys experiencing the same on current hashrate?
56  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Did i burn my gpu ? Help please on: October 19, 2017, 03:32:14 AM
I did what he did.

Mobo survived.

Riser burnt.

And card died.  An asus strix rx480 8gb

It is the only card to die on me in the last 19 months of mining

Hi, could you please explain more what you and he did so that I can avoid doing it in the future? Thanks.
57  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's miner ETH fee removed (Win 64bit only) on: October 18, 2017, 01:06:29 AM
Does it work for Ethos? Thanks.
58  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Hashrate RX 570 on: October 06, 2017, 03:37:48 AM
Hi, this is my case https://imgur.com/a/I1KnI (ethos)
I got 6 Rx 570 4gb Sapphire Nitro+. 1 of them is Hynix, the rest are Elpidia. I'm dual mining: ETH + SIA. For SIA I'm getting 469 each.
I'm wondering. My last gpu (hynix) is somehow undervolted as you can see. I have no idea how because I forgot the original BIOS file. It is much cooler than the other cards. I'm happy with the hashrate less than 1 from the others.
My questions are: is it safe to get it undervolted? If yes, how can I do to the others?
Please check my mem and cor also and please let me know if you see something wrong. I would like to say that I'm using 2 table fans to help it get cool. Please advice me methods to keep it cool and downgrade the hashrate if necessary.
Thank you very much.
