What should be hashrate of 280x/7970 and 290 in Lyra2RE?
With my miner (see SIG) about 1100 and about 1700, depending on ram type. Have sapphire r9 290x Tri-x OC 8gb and only get 886kh/s, 15.4 beta, win8.1 x64, 16gb ddr3 1333mhz conf: "algorithm" : "Lyra2RE", "xintensity" : "512", (intensity 15 i get only 780mh/s) "gpu-engine" : "835", "gpu-memclock" : "1510", "worksize" : "64", "gpu-threads" : "1" Change memory clock to 1500 or 1250. What is the memory type?

Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: First Ever Bitcoin Bank to be Opened in Switzerland?

A trusted bank could boost bitcoin adoption for those users who cannot download a bitcoin client and use it. There are a lot of them. Of course, if you are registered here and reading this then you are most likely capable of dealing with bitcoins to a certain extent, but that cannot be told of the general public. Sometimes I don't see why the average user would use bitcoin if they can use (and are used to) banks/cash etc. For some it is just too complicated. An easy application like this may be the solution, maybe not.
A bank is useful for saving/loan of the BTC. It could also be useful for the instant transaction of BTC (same as buying stuff in supermarket with a credit card) which cannot be realized with 10 mins or even shorter block time. As we save the BTC in the bank, the transaction will also not seen on the block chain, thus the bloating of block chain is less a problem.

Results from tests trimming the working directory
Preliminary tests in trimming the working directory of Credits indicate that substantial gains can be found.
Size before trimming, approximately 45GB Size after trimming, approximately 12GB
Further gains can be had, but it requires large changes to the internal functionality of Credits, to decouple the Bitcoin blockchain further. This development will be performed in the following months.
There are two main drawbacks to shrinking the working dir by trimming older Bitcoin blocks: 1. -reindex CAN NOT be done after the Bitcoin blockchain has been trimmed. This should not be a problem under normal usage. 2. It is for the time being unclear if -bitcoin_rescan will work as intended. This usually does not matter for a regular Credits user.
As soon as a new version of the wallet is ready for release, more info will be posted here.
Thanks for all the efforts. After the trimming, can we still use the BTC blockchain to send/receive with bitcoin Core?

I know this is a tweet from Peter Todd, but he quotes Gregory Maxwell's post on Reddit where he admits that when talking with Gavin, they found out that some of his calculations were wrong. Don't take my word for it, here's the exact quote and post: We have! on bitcoin-development. Heck, Gavin's own figuring had an arithmetic error (didn't count upstream bandiwdth) and even by his analysis-- which assumed state of the art top percentile bandwidth (e.g. service that isn't available to me at home personally, much less much of the rest of the world)-- he said his number number should have been 8MB. https://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/37vg8y/is_the_blockstream_company_the_reason_why_4_core/crqgtgs8 MiB sounds a lot more reasonable. Also, as a programmer, I prefer powers of two in all constants. If this was the last time we are going to increase block size then I would vote for 8 MiB max size. It gives us 4 extra years to work out the lightning network or a similar solution which I think is enough. 20 MB is a limit, not the target. It gives us extra time to adapt. 8 MB could also be good.

Is the bitcoin chain just used to clam the Credits at the moment? Are we going to move something back to BTC blockchain? If not, then there is no point in keep the large disk space occupied.
Nothing is moved back to the BTC chain. Within a few days, a version trimming away older parts of the Bitcoin blockchain will be released. Tests are ongoing as we speak, So the BTC blockchain is just used for claiming the Credits. That is just like giving away Credits to BTC owners to attract new users? How many Credits have been claimed? I think the major new features are PoD and S curve emission. 15 mins block time is also good. In the future, if Credits have more transactions, the block time can be reduced. Is there any other PoD coin?

Not only OKCoin, you shouldn't keep your bitcoin at every exchange site They could be hacked anytime & you could lose your bitcoin
Better use offline / hardware / paper wallet
thanks for the advice, but actually how risky our money on exchange site? These exchanges are not insured or regulated. If the exchange is hacked, you will lose your coins, but the owner of the exchange.

it could be a good opportunity to return now, and share some light on the upcoming client upgrade for the TX limit, it would definitely increase the faith of many users about the future of bitcoin
That is just Satoshi's own opinion. The community as a whole will decide.

LTC will just follow BTC.
Can you show the law that states this? Not this time, mate. Bitcoin crashes and does not recover while Litecoin flashcrashes with it and then goes to the fuckin' moon! I'm already in it big time with additional fiat and btc on the sidelines for the flashcrash. I'm so ready for this!!! PUMP LITECOIN ALREADY! WE DON'T WANT TO STAND THERE WITH PANTS DOWN WHEN BITCOIN DIES OFF! WE NEED LITECOIN ON ONE BILLION NOW FOR THE SAKE OF CRYPTOCURRENCY!!! THE SUCCESS OF CRYPTO CAN NOT DEPEND ON BITCOIN OR GAVIN ALONE!!! LITECOIN NOW!!! I do not mean the price. The price of LTC dropped more than BTC over the last year. I mean LTC follows BTC in the development of the coin.

uhh no...he did his job (and imho still contributing under some other identity)...better leave this as is.)
The coin has evolved a lot since he left. His return will not do much to the coin itself.

Your coins are fine. If the fork does not go well and there are two competing chains "old coin" and "new coin" they will both be using today's blockchain as a reference as to who owns what and then split from there, so worst case scenario you will have double the coins, one for each fork.
So I can spend my coins twice, once in each fork?

This is so risky, if one of the chain will be abbandone you will lose all your coin and this why all the community is worried (it is only a question of money, and it is really a tall order for gavin). If Gavin launches his altcoin forked from Bitcoin, everyone who currently has Bitcoin will have the same number of Gavincoin. When his altcoin fades into obscurity, the original Bitcoins will still exist. Shortly after launch you may be able to sell your Gavincoins in exchange for extra real Bitcoins (or vice versa, if you think the altcoin will 'win') before the price drops significantly. But that's a gamble. It's safest just to hold both until you see which is going to 'win'. Does it mean I can double spend?. I will sell my Gavincoin (old bitcoin) in the GAvincoin chain and my old bitcoin is still in the bitcoin chain. So I can spend that old bitcoin again?
