maybe this is where the GH went? http://blogs.wsj.com/moneybeat/2013/11/07/judge-orders-coinlab-to-pay-up-in-bitcoin/"CoinLab Chief Executive Peter Vessenes has said that the lawsuit was a contributing factor in last week’s bankruptcy filing of CoinLab’s mining unit, which is called Alydian Inc. Mr. Vessenes is also chairman of the Bitcoin Foundation, a nonprofit trade group that promotes the virtual currency. Mr. Vessenes noted in an email on Thursday that CoinLab itself has no mining operations, but “of course we will comply (with the judge’s order) as well as we’re able.” It isn’t clear if Alydian is still generating bitcoin while it is under bankruptcy protection." good find. Either someone shutdown their mining operations (coinlab?), terahash machines are breaking left and right or tera hash machines are on their way to customers. Time will tell

Just temporary, it is going up again... Next generation mining equipment being shipped everyday... HashFast <----
the reason for this post is not if or why the network hash is going up. It will and my guess is around 25% for the next diff. The question is where did those 1000T go. They were on the network so they are somewhere. And if you notice they didn't drop all at once, they dripped slowly. Burn test by a manufacturer? ASIC going online and breaking down? BFL datacenter went up in flames? Well, there are no news on any major datacenter fire in the past 2 weeks, at least in the google english news. The only 2 i can find in the past month are the Gigenet and the NSA fires

doesn't look like it's dropping anytime soon next estimate is 755745693
where are you getting that estimate from? that would imply a 50% hash rate raise or close to 1800 Tera hashes, according to what i'm seeing so far the next hash rate will be 513. I know this is not final but i would expect around a 25% increase to 625 million (900 Tera hashes added to the network)

ghash.io passed quickly from 736.42 Th/s to 933.69 Th/s
really strange...
Probably some big datacenters are experiencing temporary difficulties ?
ghash has a jumpy hashrate, never understood why, maybe their hash calculation formula. bitcoinwatch seems to be right on the money when it comes to hash calculation and if you notice the graph the decline didn't start today, it has been going on for a few days, so no last minute turn off to manipulate the diff

after hitting ~4500TH is now at ~3250TH, according to the graph on link. This is a major drop. Are the T machines failing or what is going on? There's always a drop prior to a diff adjustment but this seems to be a bit over expectations. Just wondering http://bitcoin.sipa.be/yes, I noted it too some hours ago. really strange. It looks like a big datacenter switched off its miners. more then 1 datacenter, we're talking of ~ 1000 1T mchines. Maybe KNC is shipping the machines they have been mining with? The actual current hasrate is 3657.70 according to http://bitcoinwatch.com/

Mice control. Noise, heat and fan wind scares them off. Recommended setup: 4 BFL singles in each corner of your basement.
i'm sure the steady lights on the eruptors will scare the shit out of would be robbers. Set the sticks power connected to a sound detection device and turn them on and you'll see the robbers running as fast as they can

It is very hard to load all those sticks. Kind of fun to push limits on one pc. I believe I will get up to 135 sticks on the 3x 49 port hubs.
It is fun isn't it? I'm using computer PSU's to power things I never thought I would lol. And my computer looks like Frankenstein with things plugged in all over the place. I do have a question for you though. How easy do you think it would be to wire a 5v PSU into an ATX connector for these hubs. And do you think it would actually work? A PSU like this for example: http://www.circuitspecialists.com/hf300w-s-5.htmlI think you see where I am going with this...2 hubs on 1 PSU... just screw in the wires. remember red is positive, black negative. But you can buy 1/2 that price on ebay

5 - Hardware manufacturers and resellers have a problem right now. They're invested in manufacturer/reselling ASICs and people are catching on to point #1 above.
ASIC prices can come down a LOT before hardware manufacturers are hurting. <$2 per GH/s is pretty easy. $1 per GH/s might be harder to do but I would expect raw chips (ASICs on the reel) to hit that sometime in 2014. Of course vendor would rather sell a unit at $10 per GH than cutting prices to $5, or $3, or even $2 per GH/s isn't going to put anyone under. That being said we likely will see one or more company go under. These are small and often poorly run companies. This is the gravy train portion with massive margins, lines of customers, or limited competition. Pretty much impossible to not make money now. When crunch time comes some won't make it. Point noted, thanks. I haven't been following prices close enough to observe, so I'll take your word for it. I assumed the profit margins were thin. However I would think resellers will end up in a bind first. M hardware manufacturers have been thief's selling for what the diff is. Look at asicminer that started selling at 3BTC now at .035BTC with a hub included. They have been playing on people greed and stupidity and laughing their way into the bank. The eruptor doesn't cost more then $1 to produce for gods sake!!! But look at how they are selling on ebay. The Jalo's are going for over $250 when they are worth tops $50 if one hopes to make ROI. Even the KNC 500G selling for $6000 are overpriced with a .15BTC return daily on the next diff, they'll never make ROI, NEVER. Thief's, that's the only name I can call them

Hi, I'm interested in buying ASICMiner Block Erupter Blade 10.7gh. http://www.amazon.com/ASICMiner-Block-Erupter-Blade-10-7gh/dp/B00FPG1MOW/Can someone tell me what else I need? It looks like it has its own lan port. Do I still need to hook it up to the computer? Also, what kind of power supply would I need? Basically, I'd like to find out what additional equipment I would need in order to use it. I read countless posts about how mining is not worth it, so please stick to the hardware aspects when replying. Thanks, thats a good price, same as in here paying with bitcoins https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=205369.0EDIT: but if I were you I would never buy it. On the next diff you're going to be making .01BTC a day and next .007 BTC a day, you'll never get your money back, unless BTC goes to $1000 of course.

Why hasn't a pool owner modified SHA coin clients so that all SHA coins can be merged mined at the same time?
There are a lot of very intelligent people in this forum and it appears that this is a feasible task.
So why hasn't it been done?
maybe because all ALT SHA coins are even less profitable then BTC?

you should look into the geopolitical war going on in the pacific. That rock aka island being claimed by both chinese and japanese is just the tip of the iceberg. The US in august announced the plans to preemptive strike china with nukes. This week the chinese replied announcing their nuclear subs fleet can strike any city in the US. None of this is making the 6 PM news of course but any search on the geopolitical think tank sites will keep you up to date. So yes, is possible for BTC to run like crazy based on geopolitical happenings, remember, BTC is a store of value just like gold

There is, just wait until the ASIC war is over and the difficulty stay the same True, might happen next year (late probably). Worth the wait, the 1 TH miners will cost like GPU It will never ROI what everyone seems to forget is that for the diff to double from here it requires 4000 1T machines. Its not going to happen as fast as most people thinks BFL alone estimates they can make 1000 Monarchs/day. So could happen in just one week sometimes early next year BFL estimates are usually very accurate... there you go written in stone. As the price of equipment goes up the universe of miners willing to put 1000's into a asic is reduced and that will level difficulty.

so you're telling me the bot goes with the flow and the book depth on 3 exchanges but doesn't follow established trading indicators that generate buy and sell signals?
Also it runs millions of calculations per second and uses up all your CPU, even if the trade decisions are like max 10 per day. Anyway, it's one bot, it works in it's own way, take or leave it. I'll leave it, have enough day trading experience to know what works and what doesn't. Just wanted to know if this was for real or an amateurish implementation/ Thank you for your millions of calculations per second comment, it made me laugh so hard.

Sorry to rain on the parade, but where are the trading graphs? I wouldn't ask for much, maybe bolinger bands, ema, etc. You know, looking at a price graph is like a bull looking at a palace, it maybe pretty but you can't make sense of it.
I understand that they are still being worked on. Cryptsy wants to make these changes as quick as possible, but you have to realize that all of this is still in the works. I have test driven the new exchange, and I can tell you it is REALLY nice. The team wants everything running smooth before moving into a new year in crypto! So I'm sure Vern is going to have everything as quality as possible before release. Anyhoo, in the meantime, you can bet I will be posting any new screenshots of those graphs up on CryptoNerd.co as soon as I get 'em! Thank you all for the compliments. All praise should be directed towards BigVern on all of this though. He is the one working tirelessly on the upgrades, updates, and all the while still taking care of your tickets! i understand all exchanges without exception were created by young techies with no trading experience and no clue of whats involved when deciding on a trade. They are no different from 99% of regular people that buy and sell in the stock market and in the process make the wall street firms richer. Some crypto traders use those indicators they generate in private software and are getting richer in the process at the expense of suckers. It is time to level the playing field
