1  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA World Cup 2026 :Canada/Mexico/United States: Discussion Thread on: July 18, 2026, 08:36:00 PM
England should have been able to defeat Argentina and advance to the final against Spain, given France’s loss in the semifinals—as all claims regarding France’s performance were disproved by Spain’s quality of play.
This bronze-medal match between France and England is intriguing but not a surprise, since neither France nor England are underdogs who made it to the semifinals—unlike in the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
If both teams are great, does France deserve to win this given the odds offered by the bookmakers?
I’m support for England.
In this case, I'm rooting for France because if the French attack can't be contained by England, it will certainly be difficult for England to win. Especially considering France's defense, which hasn't been particularly bad in this competition, even though England also has a good attack. However, I'm more confident in France for the bronze medal match, although I'm quite certain the match will be quite close, considering both are strong teams in this World Cup.
I do agree that it is going to be very good for all of us, it should not be all that difficult and we can't really assume that many changes for the long term. I think it should not be considered as something that would be profitable if you bet on France right away, it's a big risk, and England isn't a bad team.

We have seen the weakness of France, which is their offense if covered very well, Spain defended very well and when you defend and hold the possession, it becomes hard for France to do their barrage of attacks they normally do. So what England has to do is defend very well, and give France small amount of chances, and if they can do that, then it would be possible to beat them. England should also learn their lesson from semi finals, if you try to defend for 45 minutes, you will lose.
2  Economy / Economics / Re: Wealth needs power to survive! on: July 18, 2026, 05:49:24 PM
To be fair if you have wealth with no power, then that wealth will be taken from you, I have seen many examples of this. Like there was this corporation that had 20% of all cows and bulls in our country, they were huge and they had ranch in 9 different places, huge places and they were basically providing our meat and they were the biggest.

But, when they lost the "power" they had over politicians and started to argue, it became very obvious that they became very bad with them and almost all of it got taken. They basically had to give up and give a bribe type of thing by giving share of the companies to some powerful people to stay safe. This is why if you have wealth, make sure that you also have equal amount of power.

In my opinion, we should look at the two issue separately. One is whether Argentina really deserved to win? And the other is how consistent the refereeing was. In my opinion Argentina came back as a worthy team. Because England became much more defensive after taking lead in the match. However I will strongly criticize Tuchel's tactical changes. In my opinion his tactics created pressure instead of trying to finish the match.

I admit that people are even asking question about Messi-Spence incident. Fierce debate that is going on at local and international level about that footage has become a huge topic of discussion. Many are wondering whether there was actually enough of a push to be a foul! And opinion on this are very different.

In my opinion the main criticism is not about whether the goal was legal or not. But rather about the fact that the VAR referee was not given the opportunity to review it on field despite this state of controversy. At the same time there is a lot of edited and AI generated image circulating on social media. Therefore we should be very careful before accepting any viral screenshot as accurate evidence or testimony.
There will always be sides that would claim corruption, that is just the way it is. If England won and Argentina lost, then we would have seen Argentinians and their fans would be claiming there were referee issues, because it was the reverse, there weren't. Plus, Argentina won last time, so there is an extra hatred towards them, not really something that would be all that complicated considering how we are dealing with all of this. It's very normal to see something like this, because they are winners.
4  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2026 NBA Season on: July 16, 2026, 08:08:44 AM
I heard kuminga decline the offer and asking for a bigger one, could he be the next Dennis , why is he asking so much there are already offer for him, maybe he sign two year contract and an 1 year option but he needs to prove himself first because on other teams or from GSW he is not showing up, or they have not given him playing time, maybe he needs to do or score points and prove his worth in a team before asking too much, if he do better in the lakers they will actually retain him for sure with a bigger contract.
There are way too many players who are looking for that one single contract that can change their life. People are mistaken about how much money these players make, from a 100 million deal, you get something like 40 million after taxes and all agents and accountants and coaches etc left. So if they do a 4 year, 100 million deal, that is actually 10 million a year in their pocket, and not all at once, it is paid game by game as well.

So, they want that big deal, one big deal, and if you reach that level, you understand that, 10 million a year is nothing to these people, because they are expected to pay for so much, unfortunate and we can simply say "they should only take care of themselves and not others" but you see the culture, they take care of friends, family, hell they happen to suddenly have 30+ cousins out from nowhere. So, some achieve to say no, some fail and bankrupt as soon as money stops. This is why most try to get the absolutely highest they can from a single contract and use that to invest, so they do not have to worry about the next contract.
5  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2026/27 Season on: July 15, 2026, 06:02:41 PM
Someone's result in the Champions League depends on many factors and one of them is the draw.
If Real didn't have to play against a very strong team Bayern in the quarter-finals, they probably would have played in the semi-finals or the final with a more favorable draw.
The same thing with Bayern, if they didn't have to play PSG in the semi-finals, I don't see which other team would be better than them and knock them out of the competition.
PSG usually start the competition weaker, and don't dominate in the group stage of the competition, but when it matters most, in the knockout stage, they play their best and win key matches, so for me they are again the main favorite to win the Champions League this season.
Before Arsenal, I would put Bayern and Real as possible favorites.
Few teams always have a good chance despite having draws; situations like Real Madrid and Bayern Munich are always at the top of the bookies list, but recently PSG also has good depth while Manchester City is now looking for a new start just because of this. Talking about this is too early, but Arsenal is also improving, but not like other top, consistent performers.

Real Madrid always called darling of UEFA Champions League Bayern Munich; they have enough potential to challenge any team due to their quality and constancy. A few teams are not having a good time because changes are essential. Always at the top in the coming season, PSG, Bayern Munich, Real Madrid, and Arsenal are going to be favourite teams, while Barcelona is also doing good work on their squad with Manchester City. Due to changes not being highlighted, they also have enough depth to challenge any team at the top level. Real things will happen on the ground.
6  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Premier League 2025/2026 Discussion Thread ⚽ on: July 14, 2026, 08:30:31 PM
It was around 2023/2024 season that Manchester United last played in the Champions League, and 2022/2023 Premier League, where they finished in 3rd place, which qualified them for the Champions League.

Now is another time for Manchester United, Carrick used the boys to prove they merit a spot, the ball is now in their court, i will like to see how Manchester United will use it in this Champions League season.
I'm expected to see a very excellent performance from them under Carrick, they finish the league in third place with a very excellent performance, I am still confident that those performance are still there and they can also improve it again to make the team solid when playing in any competition.

Carrick shocked everyone when he came and improve Manchester United because majority were saying that the Manchester United end has score, meaning they will not be either recognize as a top team again but a bottom team. Carrick came to stop all that and now they are back again to maintain their position.
That exact expectation is the reason why they are going to go through something very tough. Because too many people are expecting a lot from him. I "might" be wrong about this, but if we look at the table since Carrick took over, United I think got the most points during that time. Which is why I think it is clear that we are looking at something that is not easy to handle.

This is why there is a big problem because they may not be able to do the same. People saw "the team with the most points since he took over" and now expect a lot from him, so a fifth place would be a shame, and yet the reality is that United doesn't deserve to be at the top, and being fifth would not be really out of place for them. Hence this will not be easy season for them.
7  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Saudi Professional League 2023/2024 on: July 14, 2026, 11:00:50 AM
By looking at Ronaldo's side who sometimes have a tougher nature I think there will be a possibility that a 1-year contract can at least be done because he will not stop now before his 1000 goal target is well accomplished.

For the Portuguese national team he might have been hopeless and retiring could have been a good move but for a professional club career before his record could really be on the up I don't feel sure Ronaldo will retire.
He has 976 goals to his name and it would take another 24 for Ronaldo to realise his goal of 1,000 goals a season would make sense to keep him at the club.

Now he has extended his short-term contract for Al-Nassr and we will still see how he performs in the next season.
He already has one more year, so 26-27 season he will be playing at Al Nassr anyways. I meant like this will be his last season, as in 26-27 will be his last, not the current summer, he isn't retiring right now. And considering he is at 976 goals right now, that means he has only 24 goals left.

Between league games, cup games, and AFC etc etc, he will reach 1000+ goals this season unless he gets injured. And that is why I believe that we are going to see his last year. Even he must be aware that he is only hurting teams he is on now, just chasing that goal, and I do hope he plays just one more year, and leaves football alone.
8  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: July 13, 2026, 11:29:22 AM
Juventus issue is not about money, they have spent more than most other teams, here are maybe 1 or 2 teams that spent more than them, maybe none. And yet they have nothing to show for it, which is the problem and I think that is very important, we should realize that this is not looking good and not about money. What is it about then? Them spending bad money, meaning they pay a lot for a player, and yet that player doesn't play like the money he is paid for, and that is exactly the issue they are facing.
9  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Saudi Professional League 2023/2024 on: July 13, 2026, 11:03:25 AM
Postecoglou will be a very good coach but they already won the title so the expectation is to win the title again, and I am not sure how great he is going to be. I do get the idea that he is a good coach but after winning the title, even if you finish second place, there will be some situations at end.

This is why he will have some problems, plus the team is one year older as well, Ronaldo is aging out, and he will retire after this season I am sure. So they are going to have some troubles, I do hope they make some good transfers.
10  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA World Cup 2026 :Canada/Mexico/United States: Discussion Thread on: July 12, 2026, 05:48:51 PM
It's always a big question mark when it comes to Argentina matches, as there are almost always some strange decisions, but it was clear that Switzerland were the better team in this match before the red card. Congratulations to Argentina, perhaps they'll win the World Cup again if these strange incidents continue to occur in their matches.
If we are going to have a reply of the last World Cup, Argentina's chances to win are extremely small in my opinion. France are way superior this time. The biggest downside for Argentina is that they never replaced a played like Di Maria: they tried with Almada, with Paez, with Lo Celso, none of them was really able to stand out. So they still rely on a 39-year-old Messi.

On the other hand, France have Mbappé, Olise, Dembelé, Barcola, Doué... The amount of high-skilled players they have is insane.
People are still talking about the France vs. Argentina final while they are missing out on England, which is currently better than Argentina, and they are going to entertain them in the semifinal. Argentina is having all three games in extra time, and England is playing much better and giving good results.

Due to many controversies and having off-the-field issues, I am not sure what is happening, but I am expecting Argentina to have no chance of having a spot in the final for me. England vs. France is going to be the best final of this FIFA World Cup. England has enough players who are contributing, and their attack is also one of the best in this World Cup, while Argentina does not have the same level of quality and consistency that is needed to have a spot in the final of the event.
11  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2025/26 on: July 12, 2026, 03:28:45 PM
Real Madrid is making a mistake by bringing every player that Mourinho wants. While I understand it may look like they are backing him and they are doing a good job, the reality is that we are seeing a team that is not as good as they should, and instead they are following a deranged guy to battlefield.

Mourinho will be the end of them, they are going to fire him very badly, and it is not going to be a nice parting of ways neither. Wait for it and you will see that this experiment will end very badly.
12  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Saudi Professional League 2023/2024 on: July 12, 2026, 09:11:21 AM
It's true that relying solely on Ronaldo won't make Al Nasr a better team. A team that wants to perform well must have a squad that has players who have good and even performances. Therefore, I think Al Nasr really needs to bring in new players to improve their performance. Another thing that Al Nasr should pay attention to right now is their defense.

Currently, Al Nasr's defense is still not very good. In the previous season,, they always conceded in almost every match, even when facing weak teams. Therefore,, I think Al Nasr needs to bring in more defenders so that their squad can be more balanced in the future. Their attack line is already quite good,, so they only need to improve their defense more optimally.
That is not easy to achieve when you have fans like Ronaldo, and Ronaldo does nothing about it. Just take a look at Portugal, dude literally said "Before me Portugal had nothing, I won with Portugal, I retire with ease" literally making it all about him, seeing himself above the nation.

Not only that, in group stages, his teammates got attacked, not just attacked like some bad words on twitter type of attacked, literally their whole family got bad things said to them, only because Ronaldo didn2t get a pass they wanted. And Ronaldo doesn't go out and say stop. So yeah, if Al Nassr builds a good team around Ronaldo, and they do well without him, fans will be mad that someone else scored and not him, and that won't go well.
13  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2026/27 Season on: July 11, 2026, 07:42:24 PM
The first challenge Mourinho is going to have as a manager in Real Madrid would be having to get these boys in line. Real Madrid treats its players as though they are the very best, even with them not having to win trophies and that’s why they can be very relaxed and express themselves in ways that might not result in goals on the pitch and that’s precisely Vini. Mbappe is one player I’m sure would be ready to work with Mourinho because his hunger for trophy at the moment is top the roof and his in good form too. Real Madrid is certainly up for some better days as it is.
The team full of stars is still failing due to lack of discipline, having spent two seasons without a title in a row. Real Madrid has proven that star players are not enough, but team discipline and understanding within the team are very important. Mourinho does not have much work at Real Madrid, he only has to bring the players back to discipline, the rest can be done by the players. Mbappe is a very good player individually, but in terms of team (club football) success, we can still consider him a failed player. He has not yet tasted winning the Champions League and has not won any title at Real Madrid. So his main goal in the upcoming season will be to fulfill his dream by winning the Champions League.
Discipline is always a priority for any club because without it, good results have never been easy, even if any club or team has enough stars who have the best quality and consistency. Real Madrid is surely one of the best examples; they have enough quality players, but sadly they have gone down in crucial games even sometimes when they were not able to perform against weak teams as well.

Few teams just because of their spirit and performance, do a good job because they have enough discipline and consistency, which keeps them on a good run. Mbappe is surely not ideal for any club due to his ego, which always creates problems in any club. In PSG, he was not able to play as they needed; now the same is happening in Real Madrid. This season is going to be crucial for Real Madrid and Mbappe because Jose Mourinho is having his own way of handling players like him.
14  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2026/27 Season on: July 11, 2026, 01:39:40 PM
Absolutely, football is unpredictable and one poor season doesn't erase everything  a team has achieved. Real Madrid so it's too early to conclude people are often too quick to judge , every season is different and a club like Madrid has the quality and experience to come back stronger.
Criticism is part of football but it's better to wait and see how the new season will  look like before making conclusion . Real Madrid have proved so many individuals wrong before . Sometimes fans tend to overreact after a disappointing season.
Not just one, but two very bad seasons. Real Madrid has been bad for two seasons, and Mourinho has been bad for 10 seasons now. Comparing these two together, doesn't look like they will do great.

I understand that it may not be the case for Real Madrid fans and some of them do expect a lot, but I guarantee you from now that they will not win the ULC. They may end up winning la liga if Barcelona does badly, there is just one team there that Madrid has to win against, if they do better than Barcelona they will get la liga, but UCL has many good teams, so they won't win that.
15  Economy / Economics / Re: Why free time may become the world's most valuable asset? on: July 11, 2026, 09:15:23 AM
Youth do not have "free" time, they have time they are willing to trade that nobody acquires for the right price. That's the difference, you see a young person, 25 years old lets say, and that person is just scrolling tiktok and you think that is all there is to it. When in reality, that is not the case at all, the yare willing to trade you their time, work for you, but nobody hires them for the right price.

And by right price, I mean, people are not even offering as much as rent. So you want people to work at companies, for lesser than what their rent is, and you want them to be ok about living with 5 other friends? I am sorry but of course they won't be, offer them a salary where rent is %25 of their salary, and they would all work, but nobody does.
16  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA World Cup 2026 :Canada/Mexico/United States: Discussion Thread on: July 10, 2026, 07:00:01 PM
In this century, 6 finals have already been played in FIFA World Cups, with France being the most successful team, having 3 finals. After them, Argentina and Germany played 2 each, and Brazil, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain, and Croatia played 1 each.

Now it's 7th finals are going to be played. 4 teams out of the above 8 are already out: Germany, Brazil, Netherlands, and Croatia. Teams that already have finals are having a good chance of going again and having their mark. France, Argentina, and Spain are hot favourites, but England and Norway have good outside chances as well. Now, what do you think? Which team has a better chance of going into the final of this year's event?
17  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: France or Argentina, who wins the World cup 2026? on: July 10, 2026, 02:02:51 PM
Argentina has never failed to impress with its big performances in all big world tournaments. Most people think that they are lucky to go with winning streaks. It may be strange to some, but that is an element of the excitement of football. I believe that the fact that you claim that Argentina will be champions in the future is a most interesting one to watch till the very end.
It will be more fun to really watch till the very end and that is just most people are just waiting for. But, if they really stand to the very last point and win the World Cup, that will really be a good one because they really try and push so hard to make sure they really secure that position and its not luck like what other people will be saying, especially as they feel that Messi has being showed too many favours, which has help them to be in that position.
The first-ever World Cup with 48 teams gives enough entertainment for the people because quality is improved, and many countries did a good job while a few were on another level. This was really fun to watch because having a team like Cape Verde in the knockout is amazing stuff.

Now after Morocco's exit, just 7 teams remain in the event. All have enough potential, but France and Argentina are surely hot favourites to win because both are doing a good job with quality players Messi and Mbappe leading the table as well. It's not easy to talk about the winner. After watching past games and performances of teams, there's no doubt it's all about these two countries, but still a surprise is possible from any country.
18  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: July 10, 2026, 10:11:31 AM
Some places (like capology) shows PSG as the 5th team with highest salaries. City, Bayern, Real, Arsenal all have higher salaries total than PSG. I can't be sure of this, I do not have the official numbers, this is what some websites show, and not my claim. But if that is the case, we can safely say that, money is not the only reason why PSG wins. They have done treble last year, and won double this year, and yet they spent less than many teams.

So we can assume that while money matters, PSG is also great at utilizing that money successfully. This wasn't the case all the time, we have seen them do bad before, so it is not like we have seen them win every year, we have seen them fail at UCL many years in a row until they achieved back to back.
19  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2026 NBA Season on: July 09, 2026, 11:15:42 AM
although the Celtics this coming season is not a contender for sure, because they let brown go.
We never know, do not forget that they have Paul George. He is still a very decent player who can score inside and outside.

A healthy PG could really help a healthy Tatum get more victories. Maybe Brown is just too hyped because of his production, but when Tatum was playing, Brown was always the 2nd option, so maybe it is not really a huge loss for the team to let him go.

But let us see, I just hope their decision is something they will not regret.
Paul George would have been a big deal if it was 10 years ago, not anymore, he is better at podcasting than playing basketball these days. Dude has been averaging 16-17 points per game, and not even defending like he used to, sure not bad but not great neither.

I think it is very clear that we are not going to see the peak PG13 period, he has been not that great since he left Indiana but at least OKC was a decent period compared to this. At clippers he tried his best and wasn't terrible but at Sixers he was constantly injured and gone and not playing well when he came back.
20  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Game or games in casino that made headlines in your country in a bad way on: July 08, 2026, 08:25:24 PM
Usually it's the mobile ones. I do not want to share name to create more discussions about it, but there was this mobile casino where it was illegal, and because it was illegal, they had chance to scam people.

After all, if someone is willing to start an illegal casino, why would they be afraid of the law? They are already breaking one law, why not break another one? So they designed a system that basically stole from people, and one gambler how lost a lot, hacked their code, and turned out, they had coded the whole casino based on making people lose intentionally, so even though casinos win, they made it even worse.
