1  Economy / Collectibles / Redeeming casascius coin on: January 06, 2022, 06:45:51 PM
Can someone please explain the best way to convert from mini private key to one that can be imported by blockchain.

Everything Iím finding online is command based complicated stuff. Surely there is an easy way.

Thanks

2  Economy / Service Discussion / Nexo - Anyone got any experience with them? on: January 05, 2022, 02:45:45 PM
Been looking more and more at the idea of using a service like this with a portion of my coin. In the past always been a ďnot your keys, not your coinĒ, kind of guy but I have been interested in returns on long stored coins that can still gain interest in BTC.

Would love to hear opinions good or bad if you have any.

Happy New Year

My internet will be cut tomorrow.
The phone company is from January first no longer using the copper wires (land line) and I have land line ADSL
internet.
I have ordered fiber but it may take 6 to 12 months before they can get their asses out here and dig a cable to my house, on the other hand I only had to pay 9900 SEK for it. My neighbors who got cable when it was first installed some years ago in the area had to pay 32000 sek.
So I will be mostly using my laptop and free wifi spots in town to go online. I will try to use my phone as a wifi hot spot, but I don't know how well that will work.
The phone company tried to install a solution using a antenna and the mobile phone masts, but they couldn't get a strong enough signal.
So, I'll be on here more sporadically for a while i think, depending on how well the phone wifi solution works.

I would think things in Sweden would be better than that... Keeping you offline for up to a year is unacceptable in this day and age...

Incidentally, MalmŲ is (IIRC) the model name of my bed, bought in IKEA!

Also, yesterday I started watching a Swedish horror movie called Knackningar (2021). Haven't finished watching it. Will do tonight (from the beginning, for a proper watch).

What a messy post I've made, jumping from topic to topic like a bee... Sorry...

I reckon youíre thinking of Malm.

Also, opsec. Canít be too many people with that bedÖÖprobably.  Grin

Condolences to anyone who will be facing "Bitcoin fell $12,000" around the dining table today. Cheesy

Ask them how much money theyíve made in the last 12-18 months (realised or unrealised). Show them your bitcoin balance & tell them what the price was 12-18 months ago. That will wipe the smile from their HFSP faces.

Happy Thanksgiving WO.

Don't show anyone anything. They'll only come around begging later.

Second this. Don't show anyone anything. Just smile and wave. You know what you have, they don't need to know.

Man, I can literally see LFC and Arrie fuming...

Hang in there guys. $100k is not too far away. One more year at most. You HoDLed through a lifetime. What's another year?

HoDL, brothers!

75% of my stash goes nowhere this cycle. I have sold some at $60,000 & at $65,000. I even panic sold some at $57,xxx & $56,xxx recently. I have extracted a large amount of cash already & have some corn on an exchange which will be sold this year too. Iím waiting for hopefully better prices before the bull run ends on them though.

I can guarantee 75% of my stash isnít touched this cycle. Some Iíve sold already though & that will total 25% before Christmas. I wonít regret it either. I will be retired at 35 with a new home without a mortgage, no debt, a lump sum of fiat to get me through to the next cycle. Probably look to invest in some stonks & maybe a small apartment or two to rent out also.

75% going nowhere though.
25% partially sold & will all be sold by New Year.

No regrets, after buying & HODLING since 2014 this is the first time Iíve extracted significant funds from bitcoin. I think I deserve it, less pressure & panic watching charts. Peace of mind is something important I think.

I think weíre on similar pages.

All about being completely chilled and comfortable while still retaining skin in the game. If it goes mental In the next cycle youíre not going to regret living life to the max for the next four years.

 Cool

So...back during the summer, when Elon Musk said he wasn't selling any bitcoin, and one of his twitter followers asked "because you know something's coming?" and he basically replied something along the lines of "wink wink."...

Can we now safely agree that all these wealthy elitist fucks have (illegal) insider information months and months ahead of the public?

Because, yeah...they fucking do. They really fucking do.

Or he just believed everything that we have for 10 years

Tumbleweed round here, 50k is so boring.

@cAPSLOCK I have several/many stories about analog synths and myself. Nothing famous, nor large. Yet I refrain because of OpSec. I've been online a long time, I am trying to keep these stories, each into their own world.

A good one I can relate, I went to NAMM (the music hardware exposition on the left coast of the USA, not VietNam). I had the pleasure of meeting Craig Anderton (perform your own search here). I was able to convey some of my work, it was a fun thing. He is a music guy that has done great work in recent decades, yet not a serious/famous performer.

Then later, we smoked some crack, and shared our favorite Linkin Park videos.

Love the minimoog. The J8 is the holy grail of analogs. Prices on Reverb have gone mental.

18  Economy / Collectibles / Anyone with experience with ANACS? on: May 05, 2021, 07:30:55 PM
Hi

Would like a little advice on getting coins graded with anacs. Pretty hard now that prices are so high. Would travel to the US (Iím in the UK). Anybody had any good/bad experiences?

19  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: April 18, 2021, 02:19:41 PM
I witnessed the dump live. Woke up for a piss (was early in the am in the UK, 04:30 or something).
Bitcoin can be a cruel mistress & even after 7 years in the game I still worry a bit when it happens (for 10 minutes or so).

Iím done buying now tbh so no dip for me, until the next bear market. I have more than enough BTC. What I will say is I really donít understand why so many people panic sell during the odd flash crash. Do they not realise how retarded it is to panic sell when weíre in the middle of a bull market.

Any way, rant over. Strong hands, I trust my WO brothers held strong during that dump for medium sized ants Wink

That sounds a very similar story to mindrust... except you didn't sell

Dude, I would never do that. Bitcoin has made my life.

How much have brass 1s been going for though. I think I got 1.15 for 1 a couple of years back. I donít think they are going for that any more are they?
