Andy Hauser here, introducing a personal crypto novel project I'd like to share with you all.
TL;DR:
Looking for a donor, sponsor, or investor to fund me as I finish my first novel in what will be an epic fantasy series, allowing me to focus 100% of my energy into it.
Seeking 30k USD - enough to sustain my life in Scandinavia for 1 year.
Imagine, for a moment, that you could co-own Middle Earth, Westeros, or any other grand fantasy universe and the creatures and stories that inhabit them.
Imagine that the authors of these escapist masterpieces sold shares of their worlds, allowing you to influence minor or major plot points and character arcs.
Imagine being able to govern over the franchise and invite new authors to continue the saga long after the creator has passed, earning revenue based on all surrounding media of the story (the books, art, games, movies, tv shows, etc).
While I'm no Tolkien or G. R. R. Martin, I do possess a persistent passion for creating my world - the Living World. It's a personal journey that I want to share, and it's a journey that I'll build into a franchise over the next 25 years, starting with my current WIP novel.

I'm seeking funding because I'm not fit for a day job. For many years I've struggled to balance my writing with several part-time jobs (
read more about that here), but due to my diagnoses (Tourettes, Asperger's, Just Right, Dysthymia) as well as having broken down from stress many times, it drains my energy and creativity completely, and I usually have to sleep 16 hours a day to feel rested.
Of course I believe I am more than my diagnoses (and all of them are a spectrum, not a clear-cut box), however putting a name to them remains the fastest way to easily convey my approximate state of being.
I can work much faster and at a higher quality if I'm left alone in my little cabin, hence the request for funding.
Roadmap:Current status.
- 10k words written out of ~100k. Great feedback from professional beta readers so far. Will finish the first draft by November/December.
Next up.
- Upon completion, another round of beta reading by 3-5 people from end to end is required. I'll edit the novel based on their feedback.
Estimated conclusion of 2nd draft: Jan 2022
2022.
- Querying literary agents.
Self-publishing is also an option, but I want the first book to get that sweet "stamp of recognition" from a traditional publisher.
The agent will give feedback and I'll edit further.
Estimated conclusion of 3rd draft: Q2 2022.
Meanwhile I'll start book 2 out of a planned 5 in the series.
Landing the book deal.
- The agent will find the perfect publisher for the project who, in turn, will put the manuscript into the hands of their own editor.
The book should be ready to publish in late 2022.
I'll implement NFTs along the way in ways that are new to the industry, but I'll keep those plans secret to the public for now.
