Big price spike at hitbtc
IGNIS trading at 16 dollars.
It doesn't mean anything. I am really surprised who are these guys purchasing Ignis at that price. There was quite a volume spike, so it looked legit. I think newegggo is right, that doesn't mean anything. I think somebody just manipulates the price, maybe one guy is selling/buying his own stock. That can't be true. But I would like to be wrong Yeah this seem really like bullshit. Small market, and someone toying with the price. Personally, Iīd expect the price of Ignis to be somewhere between 1 - 2 USD$, probably much closer to 1 than to 2.

I believe we will see strong increases once the Lightning Network goes online, and 50K is absolutely possible

Gotta say what bugs me about Ardor is that there is no way to set up a 2FA for the wallet. That sucks, in particular if you have a lot of coins like that unfortunate fella. In Crypto, you cannot be neurotic enough, and even then you could fall into a trap
There is account control straight in the core: http://nxtwiki.org/wiki/Account_ControlThanks for pointing this out, I was not aware of this feature and will gladly take a look at it

Now that NEM is firmly above 1$, I believe it will stay up there and only grow further in value. Thatīs the true benefit of a platform project, it has way more to offer than a simple coin could. And NEM is a great platform

Dear Cloak Community,
After three years of hard work, countless hours of programming, passion and perseverance for a shared vision, CloakCoin has reached a new milestone in building the world's safest cryptocurrency.
Awesome work! Cloak seems ready to take off Now, should I update my wallet or something? I understand there were some bugfixes etc. My installation is like 3 months old No there is no live wallet yet as the security audit is still in progress, but can review the code, compile it and/or join the testnet and get familiar with the CLOAK-Enigma Anon Features. The live wallet that is available for download is still the current version and also has CLOAK-Enigma Anon enabled. The new CLOAK-Enigma, which is open source now has huge improvements compared to the current live version. ok, thanks for clarifying! Maybe, I will have a look at the code, could be interesting. Yes, I remember seeing the enigma feature in my current wallet and itīs good to know I donīt have to do anything right now. I am really curious to see how things will develop for Cloak in 2018

The big question is when trading of IGNIS will start on Bittrex or any other exchange...
|
|
|
Yes it is true. I still waiting when its price achieve 1000 dollars. For me this coin is one of the best whose has big future. It is like second bitcoin but cheaper
Ethereum has a bright future, and I expect this coin to break the 1000$ mark soon, and go to 1500 - 3000 in 2018

Bcash is a worthless piece of shit,XRB has a lot more to offer and has better technology than the BCash.
I'm glad I'm not the only one who sees Bcash for the unremarkable shitcoin it is. Take "Bitcoin" out of it's name and it's a nothing shitcoin. I predict a huge crash for it in the future. The people propping it up (Roger Ver and friends) have been known to get bored and move on when their predictions didn't pan out. BCash is an awful project, and the people behind are even more aweful. But I donīt think it will fail that easily. Ver and his minions have too much money!

What technology lasts a 100 years? In particular in times likes this, where technological development moves at light speed. Bitcoin will be long gone in a 100 years, but it very well might change the world and will then be replaced by something better.

I agree with you, in the industry where safety is put on the first place, to have such a problem with a purse, there is already a huge minus. ( Probably not all people know about this, because the interest in IOTA is still great.
The IOTA wallet outright sucks, gotta say. Such a promising tech, but devs are unable to build a stable and secure wallet....

You would have to analyze/decompile the minergate binaries and prove that it does something suspicious. It's also probable that some other infection in your system is the culprit. I hope that eventually there is support for Ardor and Ignis from one of the major bitcoin hardware wallet providers. That would solve the theft problem. In the meantime what you can do to protect yourself is run the wallet software on Linux within a virtual environment (Vmware, Virtualbox). Also make sure your wallet passphrase is sufficiently strong and always clear your computer's clipboard if you copy/paste your passphrase. You can google how to do this. Whatever you copy remains in your computer's clipboard until you restart the machine.
Security is always the biggest "Achilles's heel" with crypto. We are in the early stages of the crypto revolution and as always all revolutions are messy and it always leaves a pile of victims behind.
Gotta say what bugs me about Ardor is that there is no way to set up a 2FA for the wallet. That sucks, in particular if you have a lot of coins like that unfortunate fella. In Crypto, you cannot be neurotic enough, and even then you could fall into a trap

NEM is a good investment, very solid product, lots of partnerships etc
|
|
|
Personally, I think it is very hard to pick something with substance right now. Basically all coins are profiting from the hype, even if they donīt have a product (Cardano, EOS, IOTA). A lot of this could go down quite dramatically in the future, as we have seen this past summer. I have the feeling that many ppl invest in penny coins, no matter what.
Cheap coins with a good product are e.g. NEM (XEM) or Ardor. Stellar Lumens collaborate with IBM. But there is no guarantee any of these will go up in the future, whereas hype coins might yield a nice short term profit.
Iīd recommend to invest in multiple coins to spread the risk. Invest in some of top 5 coins like Bitcoin, Litecoin etc, and then a percentage in other coins where you could see bigger gains.
But do your own research, form your own opinion, make an informed decision.

eth is a good investment but you should not use all your money - thats not a great strategy
Amen to that. Diversify, put the eggs in different baskets. Even BTC can fail... And always keep enough fiat to manage your life

Well done, well done! Things are moving forward for Cloak. Looking forward to seeing a hopefully successful audit

I think actually main driver of altcoin $ price rise is Bitcoin. And if i want to earn more $ i would buy more BTC. But anyway i proud to be LTC holder since for a long time.
Yes I agree but, I think ltc will gow the bigger we think. My sensation is that a lot of people who buy BTC will (later maybe) transfer to LTC for transaction speed, fees, curiosity etc... Many people are yet dumping in LTC Just a sensation The narrative of Litecoin was always: "If something ever happens to Bitcoin, Litecoin will be there to help out". well, this is it. Bitcoinīs mempool is clogged, transactions to expensive. LTC for the rescue!
