281  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Scammed by greendots on: October 11, 2013, 06:49:23 AM
I'm very interested. I have neg feedback because 1. Tomatocage gave me neg because i woudnt prove my btc balance... then i ended up proving it because I got tired of his crap.. 2 moneypaktrader.com ripped me from another member. He sold me an mp and then the user who gave it to him said it had a diff amount on it.. and it didn't. In all i lost the mp and my btc. I'm 100% trustworthy and i can pull out all proofs if needed.
282  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Mine to Bistamp Wallet on: October 10, 2013, 05:09:29 PM
This is a stupid noob question, I know haha.  But can I mine directly to my bitstamp deposit address?  I've got my bitstamp account being traded/managed using an algorithm and hate the hassle of manually moving money around.  I just figured I'd ask before trying it because I don't want my coins to get stopped up and "lost".

283  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: A possible scam on: October 10, 2013, 05:07:08 PM
Today I read a story of a seller which found himself in the middle of a scam.

Apparently the scammer arranged a purchase of btc and the paying method was a bank transfer. Then the scammer "sold" some good to an innocent victim and requested a payment to the account of the btc seller. The scammer never sent the good to the innocent victim. The btc seller sent the btc to the scammer after receiving the payment. The innocent victim never received the good and wanted his money back ... from the btc seller.

How can a seller protect himself from this situation?

If this involves you at all, or your friend, or had anything to do with this forum; post a thread in the scam accusation subforum and include all correspondence with all parties, TxID's , and any other relevant information.  You will get a lot of good hindsight advice from fellow members, and the offending party will likely receive a scammer tag.
284  Economy / Auctions / Re: [Auction] Avalon chips fire sale on: October 10, 2013, 04:59:04 PM
I should have stated to have starting bid of 0.01 btc per chip. My bad. I still think that is a very reasonable price. Obviously the longer it drags on the lower would be the reserve and I will update accordinly. If i'm going to sell it for 0.00001 btc I would rather save the trouble and make some arts out of it (avalon chips necklace anyone? Smiley

So at this point the highest bidder are:

anrieff 20 @ 0.05
dddbtc 16 @ 0.01

I will be coordinating to ship these out this week.
So 324 chips remains.

Please set an end date, or close this auction and I'll send my payment.  Could you ship directly to an assembler? What part of the world are you located in?
285  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: Self-Executing "Keyboard" USBs on: October 10, 2013, 03:04:32 PM
WinIogin.exe... Sounds like a virus/scam. Avoid.

tinkering with stuff like this is nice to be done in a sandbox/virtual machine

If you don't explicitly have an idea in mind of what to use this product for already, then perhaps it isn't for you.  I doubt theonewhowaskazu is trying to scam the buyer at all.

360 @ 0.002

Or whatever is left after any potential higher bids at that price.

Disregard that bid.  The person with empty avalon clone components flaked out on me.

However, I would like 16 chips @ 0.01BTC/chip + shipping

Where will these ship from?
289  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: Self-Executing "Keyboard" USBs on: October 09, 2013, 11:41:22 PM

Keep me updated

What's to stop the OP from seeing all your information in the account, and using your identity for god knows what.  I sure as hell don't want a surprise tax audit at the end of this year
293  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: CryptoTrader.org - First Web-based Algorithmic Trading Platform for Bitcoin on: October 09, 2013, 05:12:06 PM
Would it be possible to allow the trading script access to data from multiple platforms and periods simultaneously, not only the single platform/period that is currently selected?
It would be great if one could base buy/sell decisions on the gap between Gox and Bitstamp (e.g.: huge buy on stamp -> go buy on gox before the price rises there as well) or on underlying larger trends (e.g: only buy into this 1hr uptrend if the daily trend is also posivite).
That would be really helpful.

I'd donate BTC towards the development of arbitrage strategies on cryptotrader. Arbitage + Algos = BTC

Also: bitfinex support!
294  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTS] 1981 DeLorean DMC-12 on: October 08, 2013, 11:12:52 PM
Does this have the upgraded flux capacitor that only requires .69 gigawatts?   Grin
The included Flux Capacitor takes less than 90 Watts, as it is a car PC that runs music playback, navigation, etc...  Smiley

Can it take me back in time to when the mining difficulty was 20million and run my bitfury board the whole time?
295  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: BitStamp Account. 3BTC for 2.75BTC on: October 08, 2013, 11:05:37 PM
Even Mt.Gox lets people deposit and withdraw bitcoins without supplying any personal information.

That is most definitely false. Gox requires ID for BTC withdraws.
296  Economy / Currency exchange / [WTS] MoneyPaks for BTC - Escrow? on: October 08, 2013, 11:03:17 PM
My bank doesn't like bitcoin, at all.  Due to extenuating circumstances, I kind of need to keep my account at this bank for my family.  Any place you can buy BTC via credit card/paypal are exorbitantly highly priced and the only person on localbitcoins in my area wants $175.00 per coin.

I feel as though my best option at this point is buying moneypak's and trading them for BTC whenever I need BTC.

In the next few days I will have a couple $500 moneypaks I would like exchanged to BTC, I will use escrow if needed.

I would like to form a couple continuing trustworthy business relationships doing this.

don't bother posting if you want mtgox last price, I'll gladly go to moneypaktrader.com if I feel like being raped.  Thank You.

Post or PM if you are interested.

298  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [The Wasp] 28nm ASIC Miner Open Hardware Development Project on: October 08, 2013, 01:12:18 AM
This brings that same warm fuzzy feeling to my heart that the klondike project did (before Yifu ruined it).  I'll be watching this thread.  Can anyone listen in on a meeting, or is is only "important project people"? If anyone can listen in, I'd love to join you guys.

Guess I'm next in line  Grin

EDIT: Just took the survey as well, Voted too!
300  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If they do, when will the FBI announce to sell their alledged 600k BTC stash? on: October 07, 2013, 11:48:30 PM
“That incorrectly understands BTC and its use,” says Patrick Murck, general counsel at the Bitcoin Foundation. “1 BTC could change hands 9.5m times and generate ‘sales revenue’. In addition, many people don’t realize that, for the majority of Silk Road’s existence, the value of 1 BTC was less than $7 USD. It is only as recently as March 2013 that the value has risen over $100 USD.”

80million dollars is way over the top.  He still probably has a bunch of BTC somewhere that they haven't found yet.  Some were probably liquidated by DPR 'n friends somewhere along the way as well.
