This is an exploratory sale offer.  I paid 20.91BTC for all these chips, only offers at or above what I paid will be considered.

442  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTB] Iomega Zip drive 100MB on: August 07, 2013, 04:11:30 AM
Hi all,

for purpose of saving my company archive I need Iomega ZIP drive for 100MB zip diskettes preferably with USB interface, but Parallel would do as well.
I had two of those and both broke down this week.

Cheers.

I knew I wasn't the first person to think of putting a wallet.dat on a zip disc haha.
443  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: List of Avalon ASIC batch 3 orders on: August 05, 2013, 05:26:44 PM

Did you apply for a refund by ticket or by their Google-form from the newsletter?

I submitted a ticket...

Wrong decision.  I feel like refunds are last in line for Yifu to process...
444  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [Closed]Avalon Chips - 0.081 BTC (Global+Escrow)-BATCH2 SECURED on: August 04, 2013, 04:21:55 PM
It's concerning that t13hydra hasn't been on in over a week now.  I hope everything is ok.

Last time he was going to be away for any period of time, he let us know beforehand.  This is starting to bother me.

it took two weeks for t13hydra to respond to my PM for chip ownership transfer.  He's a busy guy.  I'm much more worried about whats taking Avalon such a long time...
445  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Rise in violence 'linked to climate change' on: August 03, 2013, 04:27:48 AM
I thought global cooling was the new thing. Are people still on the global warming fad?

This is so confusing. Will we become less violent when the world cools down as the new fad suggests?
Who said global cooling?

446  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: WTF Avalon? Ship the Chips! on: August 02, 2013, 08:56:33 PM
I just assumed B3 would move before the chips because of the order they were purchased in.

Anyone know how many chips are in an Avalon unit?

[EDIT] Looks like 240 chips

I saw a statistic on genesisblock stating that all of avalon b3 miners would require a total of ~133,000 chips
447  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: 100 avalon chips for sale, in hand, not preorder on: August 02, 2013, 07:50:59 PM
can you do 50 for $10 each?
sorry, not interested.

The lower price is 20$ for each chip.

OROBANK, PM me  Grin

They've got orders 51xx through 87xx done.  They're doing stuff. Don't worry.

Making miners and shipping chip are totally unrelated. There is very little effort involved in shipping, pack up chips and send to address. You've been "making" them for 15+ weeks now.
So far it is like this:
BFL = unreliable
Avalon = Good start, but unreliable
ASICminer/Bitfountain = Only ASIC manufacturer that can deliver ON TIME.

Word to wise for new ASIC companies; if you can't make deadlines, don't bother. I'm sure there will be a slew of people jumping on everything that comes out, but I've seen the light.

Maybe they will ship the chips simultaneously...lol

Batch 3 avalon miner order numbers 51xx 6xxx and 87xx all got tracking today. Well I won't say all, but it seems avalon is making their way through batch 3 at a good rate (notice I didn't use the word time) now.  Hopefully chips aren't too far down the road.

BATCH 3 AVALON MINER SHIPMENTS

Just got my tracking number.  Order 51xx placed and paid on March 25.  Qty 4, 4 module, no PSU units.

I had selected EMS but got a DHL tracking number.  Should I care?

I just checked my account and it says COMPLETED for batch 3 - 4 module order # 60XX.  This includes a DHL Tracking number.  I ordered EMS as well.  I don't care if it ships DHL, in fact I'm glad, DHL shipped my batch 2 very quickly!

Update:  I just received DHL tracking for my 2 4 module avalons without PSUs Smiley

They're making progress on their massive backlog of orders.  We can only hope we'll be soon as well.

Edit:

OMG

And for those wondering, it was order 87xx. placed on 3/26.

Good for you guys! Glad to see you're finally done waiting on avalon.  Hopefully the chips will ship soon. I wonder how far they are from completing batch 3 miner shipping
452  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: @Yifu/Bitsyncom please dont hold back the chip shipment because of b3 miners... on: August 02, 2013, 05:08:39 PM
no good news  Huh

Looks like a bunch of people with b3 no PSU Avalon's got tracking today

While it might not seem like good news for us, it at least shows Avalon is making progress on their backlog of orders, hopefully approaching chip orders

What reward system does middlecoin use?

PPLNS?

Proportional?
454  Bitcoin / Hardware / Avalon Group Buy - Batch # Listing on: August 01, 2013, 10:55:40 PM
I've got 30 chips from zefir's batch 5

As well as 42 chips from t13hydra batch 1

And 246 chips from marto74 batch 1 (Avalon Order #10945)

Can anyone help me find the avalon order #'s from the other two group buys I am involved in?  I'm trying to keep track of approximately what position in the queue I am in as the chip shipments begin moving around.

We should attempt to organize all the group buys by batch number/order date in this thread.

I will update this posting with hyperlinked group by names with avalon order numbers/order placed dates alongside them if you guys post them.

The title says it all. I'm looking for a 7870xt or better and I have $200 paypal .23 btc and 5 ltc. Would like it to be new but I will take what I can get.

I have a 7950 sapphire 3gb ddr5 975mhz stock core clock 1300mhz stock memclock that I would sell for around that price.

PM me for more details, pics, etc.

4 months used, never ran over 70*C and had 12hrs off from mining every day.
456  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New mining pool that pays in bitcoins, but is more profitable -- middlecoin.com on: July 31, 2013, 05:34:16 PM
I'm switching to ASIC mining myself but this might tempt me to bring out the old 5770 to see what happens. Very neat idea to automate the process!

18BizrvSCFp2UjsCnZnJseJq759xeW24m4 is my wallet address.  Watch me on the front page to see how my GPU rig is doing. I have three overclocked undervolted sapphire 7950's running at 1500mhash/s with heavily tested and optimized cgminer.conf.  The cards run at ~70*C each.  Check it out everyone who's questioning selling your GPU's. I'm leaving my GPU rig going on that pool for a few days to make that decision for myself.
457  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New mining pool that pays in bitcoins, but is more profitable -- middlecoin.com on: July 30, 2013, 07:55:09 PM
I've got 120GH/s worth of ASICs on order. I've been debating selling my three Sapphire HD7950's to a friend for $600 cash.  Now that I found about middlecoin, I'm not so sure about that offer. I'm going to mine on this pool for a week and decide if GPU mining is still worth it to me or not.  I was using multipool.in but trading altcoins on cryptsy isn't compatible with my busy working lifestyle.  This is a valuable service you are providing.  I hope whoever you're financing this with profits as well as you and your software engineer.  It is a very good concept and much easier to configure/maintain than running an instance of cryptoswitcher.

Would be very interested in having a conversation about how all this works technically and your business concept in general.  But I'll let trade secrets be trade secrets  Grin

Nice Job!

Ever thought of making a SHA256 based pool with the same concept as middlecoin?

Switch Option 1:

BTC/DVC/IXC/NMC merged mining

Switch Option 2:

Terracoin

Switch Option 3:

PPCoin

Switch Option 4?:

Bytecoin

Switch Option 5?:

Freicoin

I bet it'd draw a lot of traffic and put a lot of money in your pocket from everyone with ASICs
