101  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: $BTC can break 18000 USD within this year? on: December 16, 2017, 05:29:14 PM
$BTC can break 18000 USD within this year?

so many holder for BTC, very hard to break 18000 USD

How do you think about breaking 18000 USD within this year?

Bitcoin already did it, before today and also now again today. I think 22-25k will be achieved by the new year. For now the price is increasing steadily but I wouldn't be surprised to see a huge pump again soon.
102  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Siacoin on: December 15, 2017, 06:04:30 PM
Siacoin has more than doubled in price this week and it’s still only 1 cent...thoughts on this coin?

I'm not sure where you get the more than doubled from, it's up about 50%, slightly less in fact. I think that it reached a very low price and is one of many coins enjoying a resurgence as bitcoin is stable, expect it to drop to 40 satoshi again soon. I wouldn't invest, it won't outgrow bitcoin in my opinion.
103  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Nav Coin vs funfair on: December 15, 2017, 06:02:17 PM
Hi guys , i like so much this two altcoins, i also heard that nav coin will do a partnership , what do u think?
Sorry for my english Embarrassed

Personally I really like funfair, I have been invested since ICO and will hold further, the team are really great and very honest and open which is a rare thing in this market. The price has been very stable and I think it's a matter of time before it shoots up.
104  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ripple (the biggest cheater) manipulates itself 60% up and traders seem to join on: December 14, 2017, 06:00:43 PM
So this is the main reason I do not invest in cryptos with huge circulating supply. The price can be easy manipulated and we see that happens. IOTA same thing, first they lied about the Microsoft Partnership to make price rise and you know the rest of the story. If being a customer is the reason to have a partnership, then I am Xbox, Sony and Amazon partner too.

Totally agree with the partnership, it's such a slap in the face to IOTA to have had to explain themselves. I can almost guarantee now a lot of other ICOs and coins who put the names of big companies and corporations on their page as partners will now have to be more careful. But I always ask projects anyway about their partnerships and very few can even provide a proper link to prove this. It was such a brazen move by the industry but when no one demands proof, then they get away with it.

Neo will soon have to explain if it's true about their Chinese government links. You can bet there's no real link except the one dreamed up by Neo.

The funny thing is that it doesn't seem to have made much of a dent in the price whatsoever. It's just the current state of cryptos, people can say and claim whatever they want and it is just taken at face value by the masses. It is the same with ICOs promising things that they cannot deliver upon etc, in time I expect that there will be a big fallout in crypto as a result.
105  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is it too late, to invest? on: December 14, 2017, 05:54:55 PM
nope it is not too late bro you can still invest now because if you're looking for a long term then right now is still the best time to invest but if you are looking for a short term investment then you should wait till the price crash again.
It is a speculation for now that we should expect a crash sooner or later. Sure, it is expected because right now the market is in a parabolic state. It is good to invest now for sure, but just in case you see the price dip later on, you should understand that getting scared will make you lose out in the long run.

It is not a HYIP scheme and people right now are just getting in because they want to get rich overnight and that is bad, so make sure you are not in the same shoe as those people that I just mentioned.

This is the important thing, understanding the market you are getting in to. Bitcoin is in a strange state and many are expecting a crash but it could surge to 100k before such a thing happens. If you invest now you are taking a bigger risk probably than at some previous times but there is also great potential returns. If you are comfortable with risk and won't panic at the first signs of danger then go for it. Even if we see a crash, in a few years time after that we will surely recover.
106  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will the price of bitcoin increase forever? on: December 14, 2017, 03:21:57 AM
Nothing can increase in value forever, there will come a time that bitcoin is nothing more than a collectors item as it is replaced by something superior. Until that time as long as adoption increases then bitcoin price will always increase.
107  Economy / Economics / Re: Is there any good news about Bitcoin from your country? on: December 14, 2017, 03:18:40 AM
No official good news as of yet but the good news is that all over the country I am now seeing and hearing about bitcoin, it is growing immensely and all of this new money is only good, the only worry is that it is not smart money and so they will panic and dump at first signs of weakness.
108  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Best BTC fee to pay (I have as long as it takes) on: December 10, 2017, 11:54:59 PM
Hi guys,

I just wanted to know what the best, least amount of fee, would be to pay that I can get away with?

I was sending £20 worth of BTC (0.00193758 including transaction fee 0.00019448)

Is this acceptable?

I have all day to wait. I really don't mind. What are the chances of this getting through the blockchain?

In my experience almost any transaction will eventually get confirmed as long as there is a fee, it may take some days but eventually you'll get your money, seen as you said you're in no rush then do it. Worst case scenario it fails and you have to try again in a little while
109  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Did you ever convince or encourage someone to invest in Bitcoin? on: December 10, 2017, 11:52:02 PM
I have encouraged and helped a friend to invest and he has tripled his investment so he owes me a beer or two now I feel, my father is also now considering investing some money in to bitcoin and also backing me with some money to try my hand with a few investments or trades. I think it's important not too push people in to bitcoin but to advise them and let them make their own decisions.
110  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Better to buy alts with bitcoin or ethereum? on: December 09, 2017, 04:27:07 PM
Can someone give a thorough explanation as to the difference in buying altcoins with bitcoin, etherium, tether, ltc etc.

I have been purchasing alts with bitcoin on btx.  However I have read a few posts on reddit saying you should use ethereum to make purchases and NOT bitcoin.

Can someone explain the differences in purchasing with different methods?

pros and cons, if there are any?

If there is cost implications?

Your valuble information wil be greatly appreciated

I don't see how it makes any difference whatsoever, effectively at that time you may as well be selling your ethereum or bitcoin etc for dollars and then converting it in to the alt coin you are buying. The only difference I can see is the fees attached in moving funds, but if you are using an exchange you will play a flat fee.
111  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum at $1000 in Jan 2018? on: December 09, 2017, 04:18:56 PM
Sorry to say but it is a no. Because for me, based on how slow the price of ethereum moves up, $1000 is still out of reach. The recent price of ethereum is  $500, half of what you are dreaming of. You need some kind of miracle if you are in such a hurry.

I would agree with that. Ethereum moves fairly slowly and it would take an almighty pump to reach 1k by then. Maybe we will see 600-700 or so but I don't think any higher. Ethereum needs to also resolve its issues with the network also before it can really pump.
112  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which is the best Altcoins apart from IOTA? on: December 08, 2017, 05:54:19 PM
I am also finding it good.

Hi People,

Which is the best Altcoins for investment apart from IOTA.
Guidance and suggestions are welcome.

Litecoin. Let me explain why;

-It's much faster than Bitcoin
-It's cheaper than Bitcoin
-It has a better name than Bitcoin
-It has more growth potential than Bitcoin

There are other coins that comply with the above, but Litecoin is becoming more and more accepted.

Litecoin isn't Bitcoin's silver either. Rather see it like this:
Litecoin is a living top predator, like the jaguar.
Bitcoin is the dead fossile, like the velociraptor.

That's how I see it.

Although I agree with a lot of these statements I do not think that litecoin will be the one to challenge bitcoin, it can certainly have some good growth but I think when bitcoin is eventually replaced as no 1 it will probably be by a coin that isn't already in existence yet. It will be as good as free and almost instantaneous as well as probably being private.
113  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will IOTA Moon Again? on: December 08, 2017, 05:45:45 PM
I wouldn't really say that it has stopped mooning, it's only about 10% lower than the ATH, from here I think it will go one of two ways and that's either up or down, I don't see it being stable at this price. If I had to guess I think the hype might die and it'll settle around $2 or so. In some months time we can see another push again towards $10 or more.
114  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Hi friends. I need advice.... on: December 07, 2017, 02:55:53 PM
I think you'd better stick to bitcoin for now because altcoins are drowning in the red sea. I think altcoins are going to have a hard time recovering specially if bitcoin reaches $20k before this year ends. But if your instincts tells you to invest on bitcoins and altcoins then go for it, you still get to decide in the end though.

Altcoins are only struggling because of how well bitcoin is performing, it's always the case and as soon as bitcoin cools off and goes sidewise then altcoins will shoot up in a similar but not quite so ridiculous fashion. Right now I'd be terrified of buying any bitcoin because it's getting kind of crazy.
115  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: BTC 12000 NEW PROFIT on: December 07, 2017, 02:53:56 PM
now that i'm writing this post , bitcoin has been 13600$ in bitfinex , and i assure u it will be higer by the end of the mounth coz CME stock market and Japon stock market would add it to thier basket some days later

It's already up 10% since you wrote this post. I'm really hoping that something stops this momentum and  bitcoin goes sideways for a while because otherwise a crash is inevitable and a lot of people will get burned hard.
116  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: BTC 12000 NEW PROFIT on: December 06, 2017, 06:53:44 PM
Yap,,, it's a profit for bitcoin holders. because of the rising bitcoin prices that are too fast, maybe this is one of the impact of the number of hardfork, investors prefer to put their money to buy bitcoin so they get free coins from snapshots. although the price is quite high, but maybe for them it is an opportunity to make a profit quickly.

It's funny because last time there were forks we kept saying that the price is only rising because of the forks and then the forks happened and we had a slight drop for a day or two and then straight back to the bull run. I think the forks are only a small part of an overall overwhelming bullish market.
117  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Hi friends. I need advice.... on: December 06, 2017, 06:51:40 PM
Hi friends. I need advice.... Do you thing is good moment today for buy BTC and then buy LTC? Or I should wait? Thank you for your inputs!

Here's how I see it, you could buy now and there's a chance the price may fall and you could've waited and got in at a lower price but long term you'll profit either way as it will recover above the current price of 12.5k or so. Alternatively you could wait and bitcoin could reach 15k and then you continue waiting and it reaches 20k and then you say, why didn't I buy any bitcoin?

119  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Day Trade on: December 04, 2017, 04:38:31 PM
Bitcoin pricing are going trough a rollercoaster right now. Are you taking advantage of these ups and downs day trading?

I did a few swing trades amongst all the extreme craziness where there were pretty much 10% swings every 30 minute candle, only making 2-3% each time but still overall I grew my funds by maybe 10-15% which was a nice result. It was very volatile though so it's not advisable for those who are not interested in taking any risks.
120  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Make Smaller Trades on: December 04, 2017, 04:35:14 PM
So I usually get offers from people who know that I have bitcoin to sell them small amounts of bitcoin like 20 USD - 50 USD.

I want to know how to make such trades without high fees, because I don't know how can it be made profitable to sell such low amounts with high fees.
Any idea?

You can probably transfer them from some wallets for as little as 30 cents or so which isn't a huge amount to factor in. I would say though aren't most of these people your friends and therefore you can just do it as a favour to them as long as you are not out of pocket?
