Anywhere else? My coin tracking program tells me DVC is worth like 0.6 cents so I'm wondering where in the world that valuation comes from. No one on Frei exchange has bought DVC at 1 satoshi since June. It's only "worth" 1 sat on Frei exchange because that exchange won't let you go lower than 1 sat. But if I were to put some DVC for sale at that price it would probably take several years for it to actually sell. So I'm a little confused right now... I have another question. I notice DVC is no longer listed on coinmarketcap.com I'm wondering if there is another ranking service that lists it. I'd also like to know where DVC is actively traded.
Thanks!

My server that was known as dvcstable01.dvcnode.org is still running and is also known as LFM.knotwork.com, and still runs all the many and various coins it has been running all along.
Existing nodes should work as they will have it in their peers lists, some coins let you add peers while they are running others need them on the command-line when you start them or in their config file if you use the config files.
-MarkM-
Thanks for the clarification Mark! It means that we have a workaround solution for old wallets that depend on your expiring dvcnode.org domain name. Both the command line and devcoin.conf allow to add known seed nodes other than the hardcoded (your old subdomains dvcstable01, dvcstable02, dvcstable03, ...). Long history short, instructions: - In the command line, add the params -seednode=hostname to devcoind comand (typically for devcoind instances). For example: $ devcoind -seednode=seed01.devcoin.org -seednode=seed02.devcoin.org OR alternatively: - In the configuration file devcoin.conf, add the following: seednode=seed01.devcoin.org seednode=seed02.devcoin.org seednode=seed03.devcoin.org seednode=seed04.devcoin.org
People running old versions of devcoin client (v0.8.5 and older), please confirm that with the methods above you can still sync with the network. - develCuy The second option worked for me. I had to create the devcoin.conf file as it didn't already exist, but it worked and my wallet is all synced up

HERo is a global initiative and there are parts of this world that need much more help than others. HERo can make a significant impact around the globe by creating a collaborative environment and making the tools, knowledge, and help available. I think this is a good opportunity to note for our supporters that HERo is for everyone and not let identity politics sway your judgement on what HERo is all about. Together we can accomplish far greater things than going it alone and that is the concept we will be practicing and promoting. We have grown even in the last few days with a dozen members, some free and some paid, another dozen who have agreed to sign up when available, and an additional expert upgrade request. Some have started to share HERo membership on their social media and start spreading the word. Some are interested to be contributors for the HERo main site as well https://nextgenhero.io/HERo_Contributor_Kit.pdf. That is the result of actively communicating and working with hundreds of people, countless hours, as well as all of the ground work we have done to get to this point, and that is what it will take to start growing this platform. I do think 250 members by years end is in reach. It's possible we may spend more time on building partnerships with groups and influential people or entities if the opportunities arise, which take some time, so I don't want to make any hard commitments based solely on the member count. That is truly great news! Thanks for sharing this. It makes my DNotes investor heart happy Oh, and still a happy customer with the trading bot!

Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Devtome staff ongoing shares to be reassigned?

Dear Devtome staff, As you might already know, Devtome was assigned 50 shares for funding from round 98. Yet, your ongoing shares stayed assigned in aims of having you work along Novacadian on Devtome's renewal. Also, it allowed to fill the Devtome fund with some liquidity for the expected future expenses. I know first hand of all the efforts run by Novacadian, trying to contact you, asking for your help, proposing ideas and asking for your feedback. Unfortunately, I have only seen Nova letting me know of shares to remove, round after round. In conclusion, I have only seen Novacadian doing most of the Devtome renewal job alone. This is not good because Devtome is basically frozen, if staff is not working on the renewal, we have a red flag! Your inactivity for the last rounds can only have one meaning: For some reason, you can't continue contributing to Devtome. In consequence, I can't hold your ongoing shares for longer and they should be reassigned. Btw, you still have time, a little shorter because we are about to launch round 99 in ~2 weeks, but we are still having active discussions in the admins forum. If you missed it, then you aren't still subscribed, it means that you missed Novadian's invitation (again), so go ahead and contact Nova to get your account activated. NOTE: Given that each round is prepared with one week in advance, it only allows one week from today to make decisions. So you actually have only one week left. In short, the actual deadline for preventing the reassignment of your ongoing shares is October 18th, 2019.- develCuy P.S: Check this page to confirm that your ongoing shares belong to a Devtome duty: https://www.devtome.com/doku.php?id=devcoin_human_resourcesI would like to still get whatever shares I get as a file admin. I believe I also get some shares for signing up new writers. Well, I haven't signed up anyone in years, so I'm fine with forfeiting those shares for now. Should my role as a new writer signup admin become active again, then we can touch base about getting those shares back, but until then it doesn't make sense to get paid for something I'm not doing. I do put in some effort in maintaining the receiver files and there is a small cost for maintaining that server, so I definitely want to keep receiving all file admin shares that I have been receiving to date. Thanks

I wonder if that's what's behind the most recent BTC price drop. Hopefully Coinbase has another banking partner already. I'm moving up to the "big leagues" with bot trading--the USD-BTC market on Bittrex--which is why I know exactly what the BTC price is doing right now. (adds several new trading pairs to stay ahead of the BTC price free fall). I like this market because it moves a lot, so my trading pairs see a lot of action. In contrast, the BTC-XEM market which I started out with (and am still in) can be quite slow, which makes it a great market to learn the ropes on.

I'm catching up on this thread. I hear ya, UTB, about the taxes. I recently brought all my cryptocurrency activities into compliance with the US tax code. 2017 was a lot of fun. 2018, not so much. And there are issues, like the one you mentioned about how you can owe more in taxes than what you cashed out because if you sell one coin and immediately buy another, you are liable for the capital gains on the coin you sold but you don't get to expense out the coin you bought, only use it as a basis until you sell it, so selling and reinvesting seems to be penalized at this point. And having to maintain bookkeeping software subscriptions, tax accountants, etc. all costs money and sometimes more than what you make in cryptocurrency activities. It's definitely a strange time in the industry. Incidentally, the main reason I gave up on Steemit usage (which I know DevelCuy was trying to encourage), was because it made the recordkeeping for tax purposes way too difficult to be worth it. Steem blockchain explorer just isn't easy to work with in that way and I was pulling out my hair trying to pull transaction records together. Honestly, the easiest way to maintain good records is to just export transactions from those QT wallets (good, old fashioned, solid). The better known exchanges with APIs are really helpful too.
Thank you UTB for all you've done. If it weren't for Devcoin and the Devtome, I'm sure my cryptocurrency "hobby" would have never gotten off the ground as a viable business (which I'm hoping it still is, LOL). I was able to use a lot of my Devtome earnings to get into all sorts of other cryptocurrencies, many of which have failed, but some of which are still going strong today. It's hard to believe that some of the coins I bought when they were brand new are considered "old" today.
I too support DevelCuy as new accounting admin. I'm one of the folks who host receiver files, and want to keep doing so. And I hope efforts to relaunch or reinvent Devcoin are successful. I suppose the wallet could use an update for starters.

What are your experiences with BTC withdrawals from LiveCoin? I inputted one several hours ago and it says it's still processing. Is that normal?
Thanks in advance for the feedback.
it take a few hours yes even for deposits but i never had any issue with deposits and withdraws on livecoin beside its slow I do remember the deposit requiring a ridiculous number of confirmations, now that you mention it. The withdrawal finally did go through the next day. So now I can adjust my expectations to a withdrawal request from Livecoin being an overnight process

I just updated my wallet to v 2.4.4 and I'd like to use the wallet I have in local storage. However I am not sure where it is stored. Can someone please advise?
I will try to post a support request on the NEM forum as well, but this is what I can do right now.
The easiest way is this if You still have the previous version. Open the old version and backup/export your wallet .wlt file from there. Then You can import into the new one. Thanks! That did it for me
