For those of you in B3, I ordered 7/6 and received my tracking info late last night. Hopefully they'll make it by the end of the week but I think that might be wishful thinking.
122  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Black Arrow 28nm 100Ghash Bitcoin ASIC from $0.49/GH/s on: July 21, 2014, 04:18:40 PM
BA could NOT do in months what technobit did with BA chips in half the time but they have competent engineers lol . Who gets beat building something you have months of access to first ,BA needs to add a D to there name and call themselves BADS. You cant make this crap up its to easy to see just how inept this company is now .

Yes, Technobit pretty much proved how inept BA really is. Either that or BA never had any backplane issues and have been mining on their Minion chips for a couple months now.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that the X3 is seriously under performing. This is the only reason I can think of that they would ship them first then tell us about it, again, with absolutely no detail on final specs.

Says mine is scheduled to be here tomorrow. But it also says this just a few minutes ago. I am a late Batch2, but is there a way to tell what Batch you are from the order number?

07/21/2014  9:39 A.M.  The package is awaiting clearing agency review. / The package is at the clearing agency awaiting final release.

07/19/2014  2:16 A.M.  Order Processed: Ready for UPS

I don't think I will have any problems since I am already on file with customs.

Not sure how it can go from China to US in just one day?

My order is showing the same thing. Scheduled to be delivered tomorrow but I just don't see how!!

A nonstop flight from China to the US is only ~15 hrs so once it passes customs there's nothing really holding it back. But yeah, that's some fast service otherwise. Black Arrow could learn a thing or two from these guys.

Coming from the Black Arrow failboat, this is a walk in the park.  Cool I paid 7/6 so we'll see how long that takes.
126  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S3 Discussion and Support Thread. on: July 18, 2014, 10:58:02 PM
I've done a cursory look through the thread and on google and can't find any reliable information about batch 4.  Does such information exist?  As in, has batch 4 been announced?  Is it in the works?  Any news yet?

I don't think you will see anything on Batch 4 for a while. They are still struggling to ship Batch 1.

I don't think we'll hear anything about B4 until the DC/DC convert issue is fixed.
127  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Black Arrow 28nm 100Ghash Bitcoin ASIC from $0.49/GH/s on: July 16, 2014, 10:25:01 PM
david105396 even doesn't answer on ecointalk. No responses and updates from BA now for 10 days.

Interesting. Guess you haven't really been reading the forum.
Do you have any value to add?

It's pretty clear at this point that this "David" character is just a completely unprofessional piece of shit who only chimes in to troll.

IIRC David was a customer like us who went to the dark side to help BA with their ticket system. I can only assume he received his miners and probably bailed.

1 board holds four chips you can pay for the board with 4 more chips but you have to pay for shipping in cash not chips

So 1 complete board costs 6 chips + shipping?

No 8 chips.. about shipping costs i dont know..!

Just to make sure I have this straight. It costs 8 chips as payment, 4 chips to actually mount, plus shipping? So for every 2 X1's converted (12 Minions) you can get 1 complete Technobit for the cost of shipping?

It's 4 chips for payment and 4 chips to mount. So, 2 X1s will leave you will 4 chips left over to either pay for assembly or sell to someone else. Shipping is an additional cost. You need to buy 4 coolers per board and a TP-link for up to 10 boards.

Thanks, it wasn't sinking in for some reason.

Update:

Cost is 4 chips in trade for the board and assembly + 4 chips to mount + shipping for 1 complete Technobit (minus coolers, power and controller.)

And I m guessing in the neighborhood of $150 per Technobit for coolers and power.

I'm not quite clear as to what it costs to get the boards shipped to me. I assume I'll have to pay for shipping already. Do the 2 chips that cover assembly also cover the cost of the board, or do I have to pay for the board on top of the 2 chips? I'm only concerned with additional costs of getting the boards to me, not the cost of cooling and power.

Glory!!!
I received tracking number, but not from BA, it's from DHL.

This is excellent news, thus I take back everything I may have thought of BA. BTW, please upload a video of your 0.50kg (1lb 1.6370oz) miner shipped 13 days ago so that we can all circle-jerk in unison.

I smell some scam here.
BA delay shipping many times with many reason.

I have a lession that DON'T WORK WITH CHINESE. Because they will f**k your ass

I smell a fresh-breath sockpuppet.

This is most likely a compensation PSU at .50kg unless maybe they finally got the plastic cases in? Ha.

The coin died when sphere scrapped the plans for the tax and just sat on it. I dumped a long time ago myself.

Hi Miners ! For your info, my X-1s are on their way home ! From Ethos Logic !

Order ID: 3XX

Date Ordered: XX/YY/2014

Your order has been updated to the following status:
 Shipped

To view your order click on the link below:
https://shop.logicet...fo&order_id=3XX
The comments for your order are:

 DHL Tracking 8935XXXXXX
Please reply to this email if you have any questions.

If I am lucky I will get them tomorrow or Friday.

Cheers !

Did you actually order from Ethos Logic, or direct from BAS? When did you place & pay for your order? Logic Ethos signed up a  reseller long after I placed my order with BAS I believe and I still have had no sight or sign of my order, which is why I gave-in and requested a refund yesterday. Can't understand why the queue isn't being honoured in order.

Because the resellers are subject to easy to pursue lawsuits since they're not located in China.

Thanks Marto, do you know why BA is stalling?

Why would the designer of the chips not be able to get them running?  They MUST have had their customer hosting datacenter packed to the brim with gear for months and self-mining the crap out of it while telling us lie after lie?

Ofcourse they have been. Just because the miner isn't presentable for a customer doesn't mean it isn't good enough to sit on a shelf and hash away while they figure out the rest of it. They had working hashing boards a couple months ago.

Do you think they would let all the Raspberry Pi's go to waste? They were originally going to ship them to their customers in a cobbled X1 but then had a miraculous breakthrough with their controller. I don't see any Pi's available to buy on their page. And for a company hurting as much as BA I don't see them not liquidating anything that's not of use to them anymore.

Hey David,

You said the backplanes are fixed and in production, but in the same sentence say that backplanes are being handmade and tested....what the hell does that mean?

There are a few handmade backplanes that we are tweaking the software with.

They are no closer to shipping the X3, BTW. Found on the ecointalk forum.

They have started to delete my posts, which only fuels my anger at making sure they fail. File reports against them everywhere! I will do what I can to alert governmental bodies, and inform future customers so that they never receive another dollar from customers.

This scum/scam of a company needs to be weeded out.  You guys are the most pathetic excuse for a company I have ever seen.  There has only been 2 companies that have taken over 2 months to get miners out once chips have arrived.  Congrats you pieces of shut, your now in line with the likes of BFL, way to make a splash you horrible horrible people.

I pledge to continue as many warning and flaming posts about this POS company as I can to make sure they fail, although they don't really need my help for that since they do a pretty good job of it.  You guys are shit.

I downloaded all 47MB of the thread to pdf on Thursday just for an instance such as this.

The surprise is that sweet X1 graphic on the front next to the ... oh, no LCD. They STILL haven't figured that out yet.

And now that I've thought about it for a minute, why is the X1 graphic oriented that way if these miners are intended to run on their side? I hope they get the correct orientation on the LCD whenever that gets installed.

I really wonder what the issue is with the rest of the X1 group 1 and group 2 units.

They probably had a breakthrough with the LCD so they're postponing delivery to install them.

If a rebrand is going to happen I will put in a bid for "CryptoSilk". It rolls off the tongue easily and still retains Silk in its name. That along with the eco-system and all the features built into the wallet, it makes using cryptos easy. Smooth as silk if you will. Then change the ticker to SILK and call it a job done.
