581  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Did BFL mine with my unit for 3 weeks before shipping it to me? on: October 27, 2013, 04:20:17 AM
So did they mine with it for 3 weeks or do you think they sent me a used one?  Anyone else know their dates?

I don't think so.  Too much hassle for what is worth.  I think they are too busy pushing the current gen products out of the door before they become completely worthless.  Nobody is ordering BFL products (with exception of Monarch), they are worth much less than their sticker price.

I'd worry about order cancellations.  I'd definitely not mine with customer products, I'd want to get rid of them asap before customers cancel them and ask for refunds.

Holy difficulty increase.   Shocked

Let's hope Barntech has some good news upon his return!

Am hoping a few more jumps like this and the big boyz will call time. We can stay solvent longer then they can.

I think its time to stop further purchases of mining gear thou.
Hard for BT unless he can really slash costs.
At least most of the 8 chip boards are sold.
The thumbs should still sell once there in stock as they are entry level devices.

589  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Off-Topic on: October 26, 2013, 07:32:21 AM
I see no problem with it being a bitcoin payment, it was for a dollar amount. No different to me making a transfer to his account in UK Pounds and his bank transferring it to US Dollars.

Congrats, It so good that the end of the battle is almost won.

I would love to still build one of these, I have a pcb.
Would be great if someone with leftover components would sell some kits although not economical am sure.

592  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BFL Reliable? on: October 26, 2013, 01:51:03 AM

Capitalism is King as well as corrupt ;-)

Which is the very reason a lot of us our here, as we dislike the banking/corporation greed and inspire to a system of trust and honesty, in money at least.

Shipping G/H's of miners that are now economically redundant is just increasing hash rate for the sake of company profits and harmful to bitcoin as it removes incentive.

Most miners at this stage are choosing there purchases extremely carefully (if at all), however bfl's cost per G/H is now involuntary for most.

BFL's reckless business model is based greed and arrogance.

Cue Inaba to tell us how we don't understand how bitcoin works.
593  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BFL Reliable? on: October 26, 2013, 01:00:07 AM
Let me help you out here..

And... another ~1000 unwanted doorstops shipped today.  1/3 of the entirety of KnC's shipment... @ 5 times the price per GH in just one day.
Look how much better we are at screwing our customers than KNC.
