721  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Klondike - 16 chip ASIC Open Source Board - Preliminary on: September 13, 2013, 02:09:23 AM

Im confident TH can handle it if they want to or need to Smiley
Am not so confident,
My Impression was that at some point TH hired someone who new what they were doing and he was posting with TH login regarding tech stuff.

But normal business posts seemed inconsistent on a intellectual level..  I doubt TH will pay more $$$ to finalize this with the current Avalon situation.

All pure speculation so don't flame me please.  Shocked
722  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Off-Topic on: September 13, 2013, 01:59:18 AM
Marto has his hex16 board fully operational at very reasonable prices, I see no reason why TH can not outsource this to Marto and still turn a profit, with the exception of components and cases.

The silence from TH is concerning, perhaps TH could comment on the above.
723  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Klondike - 16 chip ASIC Open Source Board - Preliminary on: September 12, 2013, 10:52:55 PM
I saw a post earlier that stated BKK Sent them a board... Could we use that address to find out how hes doing?

Kosta

I think he has his reasons for not being present any more....

I'm sure he does, but he was paid Royalty fees for a finished board/firmware. Hopefully he will be able to just finish that up.

Thank You terrahash!

I just wanted to publicly Thank You for making a substantial license payment to me for the boards you have under way. I thought it would be good for your customers to know that you have been taking the steps to make this "officially endorsed". If you ever need my assistance I'm always here.

The impression I got was that terrahash was quite capable of completing his commitments with the progress made to date without the assistance of BKK.
I am concerned by Bkk's absence thou, not forgetting the legal standing of bitcoin in Thailand is questionable. Lets hope he's OK and will get back to us shortly.
724  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [Group buy] Avalon chips Escrow John K / BG EU 2 batch CLOSED + K16 from 40 EUR on: September 12, 2013, 08:41:09 AM
Marto,

Am hoping to get any chips not refunded ( from other GB`s ) sent to you. Are you still up for this ?

Maybe this can offset the costs for those who have ordered boards and want refunds... Grin

I was hoping for k16's but i am guessing you will be just doing hex16`s ... that will be fine.
725  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [Closed]Avalon Chips - 0.081 BTC (Global+Escrow)-BATCH2 SECURED on: September 12, 2013, 08:23:33 AM
@t13hydra
Please confirm that first batch is refunded. If so, can i use the money to purchase chips from second batch?
me to.

Also who actually holds the batch 2 order, I would like them sent to marto, seems silly to have them sent to t13 to send them on again.

Hope you GB leaders are discussing this.

Maybe best for a thread on the multi group for people to state there required recipient.
726  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Klondike - 16 chip ASIC Open Source Board - Preliminary on: September 12, 2013, 07:53:25 AM

I'd love to get my hands dirty in this project.  I can work well with firmware and deadlines. I have Avalon Chips I just need a board minus chips or a finished bricked board.  Send one with power problems.  This project needs some fresh eyes.  I'd work we would win and I'd somehow manage to get more beer and waffles in my fridge.

I have a K16 board and PIC chip on order with BkkCoins. I'm not sure what his shipping schedule is though. If we could get him to ship that to you priority, and if you have the rest of the BOM, I'd consider letting you have a go at it.

I have an unpopulated K16 Bkk Sent me. If it is required PM me.

Glad you guys  are getting along nicely without me. Just wanted to say Hi.

I was prompted back here by a post moderated by TH today. seems he is having a clear out of unwanted posts..

I have avoided putting my two peneth worth here to let you boys get on with it.

Am sure this too will get deleted but just wanted you too know that things are no longer above board on this thread..

This isn't a self moderated thread..... How would you post get "deleted"

I know btceic was clearing out his self moderated thread and deleting post, maybe that's where yours was?

More than likely, I just sent him a pm about it.

edit: to clarify, yes i was cleaning that thread up.

Yes clean that thread up, delete the messages of everyone who doesn't agree with you.

Then keep coming back and berating Terrahash even though you are not a customer.

Here is a great website for you:  consumerist.com  its all about companies that have done stupid things to their customers, you can go there and find bad companies and make them miserable too!!

p.s. still a dipshit.

And .....
OK, the message I got was not very clear. My apologies it is probably my mistake.

See what we did here ?

I point was made, Clarified as wrong and an apology was given. In a friendly adult fashion, including some friendly PM`s.

Then someone comes along calling people dipshits.   Roll Eyes

Announcement date? Or whatever progress? Is this still in progress or is it dying already?

I'm still here and haven't abandoned the project. I've had some disruptions over the last week as the tile guys that I've been waiting for since March finally arrived and started putting in floors. I've been moving stuff around from room to room, and it's a mess, stuff piled up everywhere. Timing couldn't have been worse, and my time diverted. I'm setting up my workbench and tools again and back working again, though the room I'm in still has no floor and I'll have to move back again in 2 days. If it were just me here I could probably have delayed them but my wife (and other family) presses on me as well. Plus I really need a floor.

I appreciate the kind words above and want to finalize this whole thing so I can move on. I feel like I'm stumbling around not knowing what's actually going to happen regarding Avalon chips, much disheartened by everything, but trying to keep a more positive outlook.

Only one page back...  Roll Eyes
731  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [Group Buy] Avalon ASIC Chips (SebastianJu) Batch 6 ordered (Closed) on: August 31, 2013, 12:22:15 AM
I have not replied yet.. I have been away for 4 days and am trying to catch up with events.

Am I right in the following

1. It has been suggested chip batches may be refunded, but not defiantly and no time line for how long to refund (like batch 3).
2. Further hold up on chips, no reason, no time line on delivery.

If chips where ready to ship I would keep them.

If chips are expected in 6 weeks + , I would like a refund.

It would be great to have a little more incite on whats going on.  If i have missed something let me know..

MinePeon Uptime
    6 hr 13 min 55 sec
Miner Uptime
    6 hr 13 min 29 sec
so looks like my pi is resetting every time on donation window?
733  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Can anyone help me compute the ROI of this on: August 26, 2013, 07:52:58 AM
ROI is subject to your beliefs. So I won't comment.

However I would suggest you check out he group buy threads

Canary has these for 10.5 btc, ROI is easier if you pay the best price   Wink

734  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Do we want to continue to allow varrious vendor hate in here? on: August 26, 2013, 03:54:02 AM
I think a temporary cool-down ban or block for people wouldn't go amiss. Say, for excessive personal attacks or unfounded accusations you get an initial 24 hour ban, then for repeat offenders it goes up, second offence 48 hours, third 96, etc, etc, etc...
I think a blanket ban on doxing people wouldn't be a bad idea either.

Mods continually ignore the calls by the masses to give BFL & Assoc a Scammer tag or at least Untrustworthy

^  this.  All the while BFL continues to advertise in this forum even though they do not deliver ordered product.

Red wolf is a shill for BFL and his thoughts are based upon his knowledge that the community at large is not going to take BFL's lies anymore.

Inaba needs a scammer tag and then a perma-ban; he is far more dangerous than Matthew ever was.
After that is done we can see who else needs to be banned (BFL fanbois like red wolf).

I nominate Viceroy as first for making unfounded accusation. To be a shill I'd have to be deriving some sort of benefit from BFL or its associates. I'm not. I've waited like everyone else for my devices and finally got them. I have no pending orders with BFL for any gear, and I didn't even get a mug. Ergo, I'm not a shill, I'm just not a hater like Viceroy.

Perfect example of how threads get derailed and what we all have to avoid.  Off to the rant thread the pair of you !

You cant have your cake and eat it as well ....

Mods continually ignore the calls by the masses to give BFL & Assoc a Scammer tag or at least Untrustworthy

I also feel BFL advertisements should only be allowed with a warning attached.

------------------------------------------

Vendor specific sub-forums would help a lot (maybe on the chip level).

each vendor sub-forum should contain a mod sticky with factual warning for newbies and a rant thread for members to debate.

mods to point members to the rant thread for bickering/discussion.
Edit :
Maybe a caution button next to the ignore.
When the member gets to 50 cautions has posts highlight red with a warning in there signature.
This way the community can take its own action independent of mods..

bets on how long before a member beginning with I is bright red..  Danger Will Robinson, Danger

Bicknellski, has done the right thing by his customers and refunded them, still people mock.

Is there no hope !

I have full respect for him, I was not one of his customers ! but he sets an example to the community that should be admired..

As from here: http://alphahpc.com/terms-conditions/
Quote
All shipped orders are non-refundable. You can only have an order refunded before a tracking number has been assigned to you. Once an item has been shipped, we can not issue you a refund on that item.
it seems i'm able to get a refund.
I would like to get a refund for my preorder (pcbs and assembly) on AlphaHPC.
Please, give me infos on the procedure i have to take to get this refund.
Sorry if i write in public, but i know you must have a lot of pms and you can't read all of them.

respect, curious on your plan for the chips though...

  • UPDATE 10:12:33: MinePeon Uptime: 1 hr 2 min 10 sec    Cry  -  Going to disconnect LCD.
  • UPDATE 12:16:00: MinePeon Uptime: 3 hr 5 min 15 sec    Cheesy  -  The cgminer program restarted 2 times, one for donation and the second to revert to my pools, with no problem.

It would be nice to have access to full configuration of the SMTP email server @ settings page, as the majority of them, including gmail, needs password and a secure connection, to be able to send mail.
Ok, you made it through the donation window  Grin that a good start

Keep us informed.......

mine had a successful reboot 5 hrs ago - I have no idea why the reboot, but at least I didn't lose any mining time.  I only checked to give you an update  Angry ,I thought I was running sweet..

edit : my 0.2.2 pi has been up for 2d 7h with the dodgy hub that 0.2.3a does not like
