This little dip is nothing. I have much bigger problems; the rabbits are eating the tulips we planted last fall so my wife ordered some coyote urine from Amazon and instructed me to spray it over everything. It's a tiny little spray bottle that you have to pump with your finger much like a bottle of perfume and it comes out in such a fine mist (also just like perfume)... well it went everywhere with the breeze a now I smell like a f@#$ng homeless coyote. I'm hoping it's not female coyote urine or I'm going to be in big trouble. I think I'll just skip my nature walk today.

Strong indications of a Trump victory in the fall.
Trump will bury evs and release the fraken (sorry for the pun)
My advice to my fellow americans is lots of canned food on hand.
water on hand.
air filters on hand
water filters on hand.
at least one gun or pistol per person.
ammo
Good thing I live in Germany now. You guys are so screwed. Yes I know Europe is screwed if Trump wins - Thats the joke.O/T
Poor people of Sydney. Time to execute such barbaric knife yielding murderers if you ask me.
Death is not enough of a punishment. Having to live the rest of your life eating moldy bread and drinking stale water in a damp dark room with no doors or windows or human contact. No bed, no belongings, no entertainment. And the occasional torture. THAT would be a better punishment. Around here, that's not punishment, it's called hodl.

Why is there such a discrepancy between this and the counter from coinbase? It appears the answer is, because Coinbase. Which is slightly troubling, because isn't coinbase handling all of the behind the scenes, off the chain transactions for the US ETFs? I really want to hate that font, but just can't. In other news, how many forced HODLers were created this weekend? With ETF BTC being mostly frozen in time over the weekend. How many weekend BTC traders do you all think are employed by the ETFs. Or is it all, just do what the customer asks, during normal business hours? It's because nobody actually knows the instantaneous hash rate of the Bitcoin network and it fluctuates wildly. Here's a three month chart of hash rate from ycharts.com: Any calculation of time-to-block must include the hash rate but it can't be known with any certainty due to the probabilistic nature of mining. The Bitcoin protocol drives block time toward 10 minutes using the difficulty but this difficulty is only adjusted once every 2016 confirmed blocks. We don't even know the number of blocks remaining because it's possible (not so probably anymore) that there could be orphaned blocks. The only fixed variable we have for the calculation is the number 840,000 which is the block at which halving takes place. The second most certain variable we have is the current block which we can get by querying our bitcoin node with "getblockcount"; it's 839337 So there are almost certainly 663 blocks left then things just fall apart from there. If you decide to use 10 minutes per block, you get 4 days 14 hours and 30 minutes until the halvening... dammit, they just found another block while I was typing that. Okay, make it 4 days 14 hours and 20 minutes. BUT if you use 10 minutes in your calculations and don't revisit your countdown clock for ~4 years - you're going to be way off. You can get fancier by using an average time-to-block in your calculation but then you have to pick a time frame for your average and after all that, if you don't regularly revisit your equation, then you're going to pull a Coinbase. My guess is that they paid someone to code a fancy halvening calculator for them and decided not to pay for ongoing support of the code. While it is still possible that the Coinbase countdown clock is the correct one, based on what we know presently, it's probably not.

I confess I sold some million satoshi yesterday at 63K. I’m not a truly HOLDer, but a weak hand. I am scared when BTC “crushed” to 62K, and I thought it may go to zero.
I shouldn’t sold but bought the dip, because halving is coming in several days.
I shouldn’t neglect JJG’s long post. I should study Toxic’s TA carefully, and I should have a dream in which I will own a same lake as Jimbo.
Have a good day! WOers.
Haha! I don't know if Jimbo is the kind of guy to go partners on a lake but I wish you all the best. Also, there's no reason to be scared - just hodl.

Einstein: Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.
Any Einstein quote deserves a merit in my book.* (*don't get any ideas newbs. I'm being rhetorical....sort of...) .... I have seven day adventist friends moslem friends and jewish friends ......
Well, I have a black friend and a couple of gay acquaintances, so there is that. Gay friends meh I have a dozen gay relatives. In the case of one family of my cousins three out of five are gay. Well One is ? ? His name was Joe but he wants to be Jolene. So gay or trans whatever. I don't exclude people for most anything at all. Which is why I have friends that don't eat pork. I just feel sorry for them that they don't get to eat it. I sat down for lunch in the cafeteria at work one day with a Muslim colleague and I noticed he was chowing down on a BLT - one of the lunch specials. I was like, "Dude... you know the B stands for bacon, right?" and he said, "Shut up! If I don't know, it's not a sin and besides it's delicious."

What did I miss?
Have all the sky daddy believers killed each other yet? ....
Well, to be fair, sky daddyists of every flavor have been killing each other for the past 2000 years... so why stop now? True. Einstein: Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.
On the surface, this misattributed quote seems to make sense but if you actually think about it, it doesn't follow. When I was much younger and playing hockey, I wanted to be able to make slapshots. It was just me, my stick, a puck and an old piece of plywood outside trying to take one and failing, over and over and over and wait... what was that? It came off the ground! ...and over and over and over... for days on end and what? Did I just put the puck through that piece of plywood?! Niiiiiice!!! Finally one game a while later, the puck came back to me at the blue line, I wound up to take my first ever official in-game slapshot and everyone spread away from the path of my incoming shot - well I fanned on it and fell to my knees as well. The puck rolled on its side ever-so-painfully-slowly toward the goalie and as he pushed his stick towards it to brush it aside, it rolled right up and over the blade, between his legs and into the net! HE shoots.................................................. HE SCORES!!!!! And the crowd went wild - well I mean I did. Maybe whoever said that was right after all. Not. Seriously though, I can take slapshots all day long and pick my spots now - my favourite was hitting the posts at the top right corner. I loved the ringing sound it made. Anyway, in the same game I got a second chance but of course, nobody moved out of the way that time... oooooh I really connected though - my plywood would have been shaking in its boots. My shot hit one of the other players about chest height and knocked him on his arse. He was hurting. So many guys came to me after the game asking me when I learned to take a slapshot and asking me for advice. The only advice I had was to get a stick, a puck and a piece of plywood and go nuts.

My goodness, where did you get that countdown from? New ATH? 100k? I know you mean the Halving Event. But there is nothing on the countdown. I was talking about the GIF itself actually. I rendered separate 3D models of the rollercoaster guy and the rocket engine firing, took screencaps of each at the appropriate angles and then photoshopped them together... well actually, GIMPed them but that doesn't very nice.

I will get 90% in 1 hour and 20 min It is pretty much sunny here in NJ. I will view it with binoculars I discovered last year during a partial eclipse here that you can simply look at the dappled light on the sidewalk after it comes through the leaves of a tree to watch the eclipse happen in thousands of little images. Edit: Jeez... okay it was June 2021 - seems like yesterday. Edit2: Or a colander if you happen to be straining your pasta during an eclipse:
