Hello

I want to tune the cards, but there is something I do not understand.

[Polaris cards (470-580)]
The standard configuration is 8 + 8 for all of these cards. 7 + 7 might give the same optimal hash, and 9 + 9 can, especially under linux, give a better result for 480/580. For some cards, 16 + 14 is the best choice but also increases the probability of stale shares.

My default cards are like this:

If I put 8 + 8 what does it mean? or if I put for example 7 + 7?

When doing so, do I raise or lower the intensity of the gpu?

Excuse me because it seems that it's obvious to everyone but I do not know what it means, basically I've mined eth always, I think I'm missing something xDD

Great job TeamRedMiner!

regards

Hi

First of all excuse my ignorance, I have only used Srbminer to mine cryptonight.

What software could I use to monitor the miner?

regards!! : )

Haha, no worries mate, after all we only added CNv8 less than a week ago!

The miner comes with a sgminer/cgminer compatible API. It's not the standard in the CN world, and we will build a little adapter that exposes an xmr stak-like http api and gui so all CN miners can just continue with what they were using earlier. We're still missing fans and temps though, needs to be added, and we will.

There are a number of tools which supports the API: Awesome Miner and MinerStats are two that have confirmed integration.

Cheers,
K

Well, I predict a great future for your miner : )

I will look awesome miner and minerstats (this one I have not tried)

Thank you!!

Hi

I'm trying to use the SSL/TSL connection in nanopool and it does not work.

I added this line in the file pools.txt "pool_use_tls": true and I have put port 14433

But it never works for me.

Do you know what the problem could be?

Greetings guys!

This should work:

Code:
{
"cryptonight_type" : "bittubev2",
"intensity" : 0,
"double_threads" : true,
"gpu_conf" :
[
{
 "id" : 0,
 "intensity" : 54,
 "worksize" : 8,
 "threads" : 2
},
        {
 "id" : 1,
 "intensity" : 54,
 "worksize" : 8,
 "threads" : 2
},
        {
 "id" : 2,
 "intensity" : 54,
 "worksize" : 8,
 "threads" : 2
},
        {
 "id" : 3,
 "intensity" : 54,
 "worksize" : 8,
 "threads" : 2
}
]
}

Hi

Excuse me because I am very new, I am trying to configure the intensities of the gpus manually.

If I use this configuration it works fine

{
"cryptonight_type" : "bittubev2",
"intensity" : 0,
"double_threads" : true
}

I'm trying to use this configuration but I do not know if it's okay

{
"cryptonight_type" : "bittubev2",
"gpu_conf" :
[
   { "id" : 0, "intensity" : 54, "worksize" : 8, "threads" : 2},
   { "id" : 1, "intensity" : 54, "worksize" : 8, "threads" : 2},
   { "id" : 2, "intensity" : 54, "worksize" : 8, "threads" : 2},
   { "id" : 3, "intensity" : 54, "worksize" : 8, "threads" : 2}
]
}

When the active rig is blocked, so I continue to use the initial configuration for now.

My gpus are rx 580/570

Is the configuration I try in manual wrong?
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: SRBMiner Cryptonight AMD GPU Miner V1.6.8 - V8 & algo switching on: October 13, 2018, 04:46:57 PM
Hi

I am new using the miner.

I have been trying to try to change the intensities, I left it under a few hours to configure the default intensity.

Then apply intensities as recommended here: SRBMiner-CN.exe --sendallstales --ccryptonighttype normalv7 --cgpuid 0,1,2,3,4 --cgpuintensity 56,56,55,58,55 --cgputhreads 2, 2,2,2,2 --cpool xmr-eu1.nanopool.org:14444 --cwallet your-wallet

Use radeon 580 and 570, probe different intensities between 52 and 60 but I did not see any variation.

I have the same hashrate in automatic mode that I applied the intensities manually.

What am I doing wrong?

Apologies for speaking bad english.

Greetings guys!

Hi

With the new version of SRBminer, the 1.6.8 does not work for me.

I guess I need some command, I just run ClayCoon and leave the window, so it worked for me in version 1.6.7

Can you please tell me what command I should use to make it work in version 1.6.8?

Apologies for speaking bad english : /

Hi

I think he has done a great job! Thank you : )

I have a doubt the Fanmax command to put the maximum rpm of the fan, how should I use it?

I mean, each of my gpus has a maximum rpm, I have different brands, is there any way to add the Fanmax for each gpu?

Apologies for my bad english.

Hi

I'm trying the miner, I like it! : )

What software do you recommend to monitor it? I've tried awesome miner but it only supports two platforms without paying to use it

What other option could I use?

regards!

Hi Bael,

May I recommend a project that Iím working on? Foreman is the name of it, and we integrate well with srbminer.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4767563

Thanks,
Dan

Thank you! : )

I'll look at it.

Although what I'm really looking for is a local monitor, which I can always keep open on a computer, like the one used by claymore.

Edit: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4324950   have you tried? A user indicates that it is a virus, its creator seems serious.

Hi

I have a question about which port to use, if I understood correctly if I have a rig of more than 150 mh/s, it would be 8009.

If I have 4 rigs, each of 100 mh/s, for example, should I put port 8008 at all four? The four would be using the same ip

sorry for my bad english

15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: cryptonightHeavy whattomine vs coincalculators why different gains? on: September 07, 2018, 12:20:10 AM
If you are interested in cryptonight mining (any variant) the best site to check is https://www.cryptunit.com/  its truly is the best as you can sort out coins with low volumes and it will generate your hashrate for all of the obscure variants.  The problem with a lot of coins is they have low trading volumes, so lets say there is one trade for a high price.  The calculators assume that is what it is trading at and make you think its profitable.

I have been looking at the web, if there is information, as you said it is not that simple, I have to look at it calmly

Thank you! : )
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: cryptonightHeavy whattomine vs coincalculators why different gains? on: September 06, 2018, 03:55:29 PM
You're likely not comparing apples to apples.

If you use "live" figures for difficulty and price, the time it takes you to enter details in both websites will make a difference. If you use averages (3h, 6h, 24h...) make sure you use the same in both calculators or the figures will be different.

Bottomline is: difficulty and prices are moving. Anything the calculators will show you are estimates. So they should show similar results, but offer no guarantee whatsoever.

Thanks for your answer!

The rest of the algorithms are similar, I always look to make sure that it has the same mining power, same difficulty in hours, etc.

The question is in crytonightheavy, is where there is a big difference in both calculators, as well as that in one I put it as the best option xDD

there I lose myself : )
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / cryptonightHeavy whattomine vs coincalculators why different gains? on: September 06, 2018, 02:32:57 PM
Hi

I'm looking at coin mining with gpus (580,570) on the two calculators and on whattomine they put ryo and loki (cryptonightheavy) ahead.

In coincalculators are ahead in benefits eth and a few more coins.

What calculator do you advise me?

Apologies for my bad english.

18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: can not remote connect to rig if monitor is not connected to GPU on: August 26, 2018, 07:03:01 PM
Hi,
I've found a great location for my rig and in this case I want to remote control it.
Everything works wonderful if I leave my monitor plugged into the DVI port of the GPU.
If I don't connect anything (which is what I want, since a monitor is useless), I have a black screen and can't do nothing. If I type, the pc type, so is just a problem on video output.

The setup is:
-3x1070 on risers, each powered;
-usually the cable is connected to just one GPU;
-the program I'm using is TeamViewer, since I've found no other reliable solution;
-OS is Windows

I've also encounter this issue when I do have the monitor plugged in and I reboot: in this case, the second power up doesn't show anything. I have to cut off electricity to the monitor to make it works again. (the monitor is an old VGA, connected to the 1070 through a VGA-DVI adapter).
This is a secondary problem, if I can use it without monitor, Iwould be even happier.

Thanks for any advice!

Hi

Probably because you are using windows 10 to see 1803, try the 1709 version (the previous one) and it should work fine.

With version 1803 without monitor does not start Clayrmore nor does it work teamviewer.

Another option is to use a dummy monitor emulator, 2 usd on aliexpress.

I know that teamviewer is trying to solve this in its latest version, but it still works badly, I suppose Clayrmore will solve it in some future version as well as teamviewer.

Hi

I bought this ASrock H110 Pro BTC + motherboard, my intention is to install 12 gpus (580 + 570) and leave the integrated graphic only for the monitor and avoid stress in mining gpu.

I have seen that many miners are using 13 gpus mining, is it possible to use the integrated graph for the monitor + 13 gpus mining? (14 gpus)

I suppose those who use 13 gpus mining do not use the integrated one, does the equipment remain stable?

Greetings guys!

Is it possible to use the integrated graphics for the monitor + 13 GPUs mining? (14 GPUs)?

Yes.

Thank you! : )

edit: Sorry, I forgot to say that my intention was to do this 1 integrated for the monitor + 13 amd to mine using win 10, I was not referring to a Linux distro, I forgot to comment.
