441  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Scams on Localbitcoins on: March 28, 2014, 07:48:58 PM
LocalBitcoins
In person selling is great.
Online selling is awful.  I get hammered all day with scam attempts.
I haven't figured out the rules with Western Union.
Can a transaction be reversed once it says "on location"
I've been waiting until I have cash in hand to release coins.  But, do I have to do this?
Daily trips are annoying - and I'd like to go once a week and get all the payments.
But, I don't want legitimate buyers to wait.

Any other sellers have some insight?

The sender can always pull the payment back as long as you have yet to pick it up.

You do not have "guaranteed cash in hand" until...."you have cash in hand".

Do not release the bitcoin until you picked up the cash.
442  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Buy bitcoin with cash deposits at most banks in the USA with Bitcoin-Brokers on: March 26, 2014, 01:28:13 PM
Why do you want to set a threshold of $400

Frankly.......it isn't worth the effort for amounts less than that for both the sellers and myself.

Additionally, it minimizes the sheer volume of deposits into seller's bank accounts in an attempt to maintain a lower profile at their banks.

458  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Selling 25k usd BTC. Want BOA/wire +vig. on: February 18, 2014, 02:18:25 PM
Selling 25k usd worth of BTC.  Want BOA/wire @stamp + 3%. 5k min.

If you want to use a trusted escrow I agree with to, that's fine but you pay any fees. Otherwise you send first if you want to skip the fees.

Completed a 110k xfer with oaxaca and dooglus as an escrow not too long ago.  Completed over 3m worth of xfers on twoplustwo.com (a poker forum, with the vast majority of xfers sent first to me).

May be open to doing larger BTC sales sooner or later after this if you need to do more.

I can have $25,000 in your account today if you can accept cash deposits into your BOA account.

I run Bitcoin-Brokers.

The Bitcoin-Brokers review thread can be found here so you can see I am legit:

If you are interested, you will need to contact Dan through the help desk immediately at www.bitcoin-brokers.org

Thanks.
459  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: The Quantum Leap Foundation - Example Africa on: February 15, 2014, 02:18:16 PM
Perhaps you can elaborate.

It appears that you are running a for-profit entity, and calling yourself a "Foundation"?

I am assuming that this website is yours?

http://www.navigatechange.net/services-2/personal-leadership/yourlifevisioncoach/

If this is your "for profit" website, why are you asking the bitcoin community to donate money for your personal trip to go to Africa?

I am happy to make donations to entities which actually further the advancement of bitcoin. Have you made any advancements for the bitcoin community so far that you can show me? Or is this your first attempt? Do you have anything you can show this community that you have done prior to this to help mankind? I assume an actual "Foundation" should have some kind of proven track record.

Are you a registered Foundation?
